  • Some candid Tire Talk with my videographer Barry. He asked if Hybrid tires are more expensive than AT or MT Tires. So here are some tire buying tips and talk about who sets prices, what to think about, is cost per mile or initial cost something to think of. Hopefully this will help some who have wondered this or get a good discussion going on the topic of prices and how you make a decision when it comes time to buy a set.
If you have your own tire buying tips leave them in the comments below!

I love RUclips for this type of content. Reshaping thought processes and learning something new always. Plus from a trusted person I've seen grow both in RUclips and a businessman.

Love the videos and point blank opinions. Would like to see a video specific to 285/45/22 all terrains. A lot of people out there with these newer, higher trim level trucks and full size SUVs that now get stuck with this size but still regularly incur farm, hunting, towing boats and RVs, and/or construction site uses that need an AT. I've got it narrowed down to 4 mild road biased AT options. Gotta drive 200 miles of interstate one-way every 2-3 weeks, but when I get where I'm going it's either construction site silty muck, red clay soupy farm roads, or SE NC forest service roads.

Hey Matt, I really like your reviews. There are so many tires to choose from. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 new body. I have MT Baja Boss A/T 35x12.50R20 now, and they are becoming pretty loud. My situation has changed and I am commuting farther distances and road tripping more. Therefore I am looking for something quieter that handles wet conditions in spring and hot conditions in summers of Texas and has a pretty decent mileage rating. Can you give me some suggestions on what would work for my situation? Thank you.

Which tires would you recommend for ram 3500 dually. I remember in one of your previous videos you recommended the general hts60. I would like a highway tire do you still recommend that one?

Is it advisable to put new tires with the same speed rating or higher than a lower speed rating ? For ex. for a car that comes with a V-rated tire, is it better to install only V-and higher or will a H-rated work similarly ? Thanks!

Hello and i want to tell you that you are the best of what you do! A question i want to ask. I have a grand Vitara 5d 2007. 20% off road 80% on road i spend time.... A/T tires are great for look's and for rocks and mud but not for sund and rain... If i put on an 8 pr van tire ,like Michelin agile 3, will i have problems on rocks for puncture? Will the 8 pr protect me? Thanks and keep up!

The 8 ply will be stronger but might hurt your ride.

I have got a question for you, that I can't find a definitive answer to. What is the actual difference in construction between an xl (extra load) vs sl (standard load) tire? I know the xl is rated for a higher psi, thus carries more load, yet what in the design of the tire allows it to carry a higher psi or load, as when looking at the tire specs of a tire the same size, in my case 275/55/20, I find they are usually listed as the same weight and even some instances of the xl being a fraction lighter. (The Terrian Contact A/T for example is showing to be almost a pound heavier in the sl, which does not seem to add up, that an sl would be heavier than xl.) What is going on, is this simply marketing, as it would seem for the tire to hold more psi, carry more load, it would have to be reinforced or better constructed in some manner. Thanks

Please help! Looking for advice here from SE Virginia. Have a 2008 F-250 super duty diesel with 4” lift up front and air shocks rear to tow 34’ travel trailer visiting Americas Parks and Recreation areas. Torn between HT’s like General Grabber HTS 60 AT tires and Continental Terrain Contact H/T. Or AT’s like Cooper Discoverer AT3 xlt and Falken Wildpeak A/T 3w. Size 275/70R 18.

    • @CampusautoCo

You would probably be ok with the Falken Wildpeak AT3w or Maybe the Continental Terrain Contact AT

Dammit you know your shit thats fer sure brother....I have a 2016 ram 1500 and I've bought 2 sets of tires id say in 3 years and it's the good year wrangler 275/60 20 and I'm pretty sure theses tires are just plain shit.. I live in sc and drive about almost 75-80 miles a day round trip to and from work then usually take my truck on the weekend where ever with tha wife.. question is I love the look of the GYW so what would be the best tire that has that look that you woukd recommend fer all this damn driving that when I pay 6 and 700 for a set I fill like I got the money out of them cause with theses I have now they just don't seem worth a damn and I'm tired of waisting the money... and also the truck is a standard ram 1500 extended cab 4x2

    • @CampusautoCo
