    I hope that a lot of young girls will see this video, as it has all the gems in it. The way you speak is important, the way you dress is important, the way you put your makeup on is important, the way you talk, make gestures, smile all are important. This is like a guide for young girls and women in general. We should incorporate as much of these things in our lives.

    I didn’t think I was that elegant until I recently found out that I was dubbed “the classy friend” of my friend group because of how I dress & carry myself. I’ve even had lady friends say that they wanted to dress & behave like me! I was shocked 😯 yet quite flattered. I still think I’m a work-in-progress but I’m glad that I’ve made some improvements overtime. & I’ve noticed that older men have been drawn to me lately because I practiced what you listed, & a few men around my age view my elegance as being “the cool yet chill.” It’s interesting.

    • @lawnerd67
      @lawnerd67 Год назад +9

      I understand the shocked feeling! I was introducing my husband to co-workers for the first time and one of them called me the master of introductions. I don’t think I’m that good, I just bring up something they have in common, or remind my husband of something (nice, of course!) I’ve told him about that person.

    Regarding a signature scent and keeping it private, I’m the exact opposite! I love sharing things I love, including my perfume. I also share recipes with anyone who asks and where I purchased an item of clothing. I feel it’s flattering to be asked. I have trouble understanding people not willing to share anything which isn’t their patented property.

    Most videos about elegance I've found were very superficial and based on old rules that don't mean anything to people nowadays. This is the first video about elegance that is actually about self care and being a good person, not making others uncomfortable and avoiding self destructive behaviors. Thank you, Jamila. Your etiquette and elegance videos are always my favorite!

When I was growing up, I wasn’t taught this, my closed ones didn’t care about it and at school we didn’t learn much besides saying “thankyou” and “please”. I think another big thing is always showing true gratitude. Not only saying thank you, but making eye contact when you say it. Return the favor. Write a thank you card or send a text message later (if it was for something more casual). Mention something small later on, for example; if they made you a great apple pie, say how you always think of them when you have apple pie or buy them a nice pie dish as a gift. Anything thoughtful!

    Thank you very much for this helpful video. After my long journey I finally found my clothing style (classic and classy) and a lot of elegance tips that now I am confident with. It is really challenging to face sometimes rude comments from less elegant people. Often they dress very casual (damaged trousers and sports shoes) even in formal events/ office and often let me feel that elegance and being classy is "over the top" and rude because I should stop expressing to be better than others. Is it only me noticing or is society itself not so elegant any more? How to deal with comments on my clothing style I did not ask for?

    Thank you so very much for sharing . I do not have the words to convey how much I appreciate this video . I am a new subscriber by I think a couple of days and I have learnt so much and have already implemented some of your excellent advice .I have for the first time in 30 years started to wear dresses in the last week and I realised that I need to walk and especially sit differently …through that I found your videos .
    Today I was in a health club with a nice restaurant that maybe caters to more elegant people than I’m use to . I implemented some things I have learnt from you , but I didn’t do it for them , I did it for me . I have had a lot of losses over the last 7 years including my ex ending our 15 year relationship and unfortunately it left me feeling un confident in my femininity and then we went into lockdown and instead of glowing up I believe they call it , I spiralled down due to heart break and loneliness and depression .I have got help and decided to join a health club two weeks ago especially to swim and use the sauna and steam room and I am now feeling more myself but wanted to take it a step further hence the dresses but then finding I need to learn how to sit again , so when I found you and you have not just helped me in how to sit you are helping me have something to focus on that makes ME feel good and that is to be more feminine than I am already . Thank you so very much ,I feel truly privileged to of found your channel.best wishes to you and yours ,Tracey ,Uk. 🇬🇧💛🤍

    Thank you! This is so helpful. The only things I disagree with are the scent and makeup. I think a non offensive scent is better than standing out, because a lot of people has fragrance allergies, and if you sweat during the day, it's worse to have perfume on than just an antiperspirant. And makeup is a personal choice, but not putting on makeup does not mean that a women does not take care of herself. It's the opposite, because makeup is not good for your skin.

    Jamilia you look so girly in this dress, I love it ^^ Could you do the homeware and everday outfits basics video? I guess pijama outfits might not be needed 😂
    Also, I'm interested in delicate jewelery but I don't know what would be childlish like and what would be mature. Could you make a video about this topic?

    If you are a perfume addict like me and cannot have just one signature scent (but you love the idea of a signature scent), I recommend having 3-4 signature scents. One for work, one for dates/going out, and another for special occasions (like weddings etc). And if you are extra like me, a casual one for lounging at home which you can also use for running errands. 😆 Also another perfume tip, if you want to smell very unique and for people not to copy your smell, I recommend layering 2 perfumes. And if you are extra like me, you can add a lightly scented body oil underneath the fragrance (makes the perfume last longer).

    All super good, but one thing not mentioned in the conversation segment…an elegant person is an interested listener. You don’t even need to know too much stuff…people loved to be listened to 🙂⭐️🙏🏼❤️

    Such a wonderful video. There were a few points that I needed a reminder on. In these times keeping your composure is a must. People can not feed off of what you do not give them. It really works. Thank you.

    Same goes with people trying to get you angry...I have some relatives and one of my parents that don't do that on purpose but they like to say quite offensive and flase things about me to other people in public simply because they think it's not offensive and it's true....I usually smile and say that's completely false and how things really are: the receiver of the info is perfectly fine and appreciate me keeping my cool but my relatives always try to argue, say they are right/know better or accusing me of trying to make them look bad or of being cold towards them....I try to associate with them as little as possible, I cannot avoid my family nor I want to...but I don't want aquaintances, old family friends or strangers to think I'm a person that I'm not, positive or negative it's not the point.

    I love everything you said, Thankyou! 💗 hmm just the “cuticle-free” part.. it is not necessary, as long as they are clean and not too long. removing cuticles can open door to irritations and infections. so it is alright to keep the cuticles 🥰

    • @JamilaMusayeva
      @JamilaMusayeva  2 года назад +4

      What I mean by cuticle free are those that stick out. You would have to moisturize or oil them to make them softer.
