I think I've read all of the fantastic four comics and I'd completely forgotten some of these. Even though my favourite FF member is the Human torch I loved that he stood up to the annihilation wave.
Doom wasn't in love with Victorious. It was a marriage of convenience to make it easier for her to handle his affairs while he was otherwise occupied. If she had told him in private about Johnny Storm he may well not have cared but she admitted it in front of everyone and bruised his ego. That he could not accept. So he overreacted as Doom tends to do.
Did more than just bruising his ego. He did really trust her, more than he had ever trusted anyone. The fact she admitted that she cheated on him in front everyone utterly humiliated him. Did he overreact? Maybe. But people have done worse things for worse reasons. And Johnny do have a bad history of throwing himself at any beautiful woman he sees, and his relationships rarely last long.

Look I know he’s Doctor Doom and this is a comic book, but someone embarrassing you on a grand scale is not a good reason to try and murder everyone in attendance who witnessed your embarrassment. He’s Doctor Doom so it’s expected, but it’s still quite obviously an overreaction. He clearly thought something like this was possible that why he had the broadcast on a delay. Doom is gonna Doom, but that doesn’t make it any less of an over reaction.
I like what the maker character is now but everything that led up to him leaving for 616 is a stain on the ultimate universe. Not because I need reed to be a absolute good man but what he did to Susan and how hateful it became was never needed for an already world outside our window version of the FF. Also in the ultimate future foundation comic sue tries to castrate reed after getting his jizz to make Franklin to stop galactus but ends up just not doing that. Kinda weird 1610
