The reason the Fantastic Four are considered the first Marvel heroes is because they're the start of the "Modern Age", not because they are literally the first Marvel hero. Namor takes that title.
Reed has "died. Johnny has "died. All members of the team have left the others for long periods of time and nothing ever happened to their powers. Don't count a retcon as "a lie you always believed" just because somebody in the future decided to change history.
I disagree with a couple of these They are the "First Family" not the First Superteam. Because they are indeed a family. Husband, wife/sister, brother in-law and best friend. Those other teams you mentioned do not have these relationships. Reed had most (if not all) of his intelligence before he became a superhero. His daughter and Moongirl's powers are super intelligence. That's not really a fair comparison. The Thing IS the strongest physically. Invisible Woman is the most powerful. That is a bad play on words/meanings.
Being a writer in the comic book industry & handling a big company's IP, it must be difficult keeping track or up to date with all the character's lore & history
I have a special place in my nerd heart for the Fantastic Four, especially since there're not a super-hero team, more like a family going on adventures. Challengers Of The Unknown come to mind. And those Kirby drawn covers are still GOOD !!! LOL.
Of course, the kids that have zero feats and were just recently created (relatively speaking) are higher ranked than characters that have generations worth of feats that creators had to come up with
The funny thing about doom being unmasked is that they made a figure of him with a removable mask. I had it as a kid and I remember it looked kinda like a less red Freddy Krueger.
It's kind of a mistake IMHO if someone deliberately fired cosmic rays at Reed and friends; Reed's whole thing is that he was too arrogant to foresee the accident, and learned a little humility from the experience. That goes away if someone was deliberately firing cosmic energy at them. That said, I don't mind if the cosmic rays were in some way artificial, for example if the Silver Surfer were sending his energies out into the void to find worlds for Galactus to consume; then you can still make the case that Reed didn't prepare for it. Rather like the difference between being prepared for a traffic accident vs being prepared for someone deliberately trying to kill you with their car.
You are not very bright. The fact that they were intentionally struck with cosmic rays does not negate that they got their powers by accidentt, since no one would have thought that's what was going to happen.
Wow never seen a video get so much wrong. Almost Everything used is either a retcon or one off OR gets the fundamental statement interpreted wrong. 10) Not Marvels first superheroes but first Marvel's first superhero family. 9) You bring up more recent retcons. It was long established to be a freak accident. 8) Again by publication they are the first Marvel Superteam. It does not matter if a story is set before FF get their powers, they were written first. 7-3) Ok yes these are technically correct. 2) Strength and most powerful are different. Physical strength is Thing's thing. He is Strongest. 1) ok correct.
No. 4, speaking of Lunella Lafayette I would love to see Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur team-up with this superhero team since she has history with them in the main 616 comic reality and that Eduardo is a fan of "The Thing"
So the thing is no where near the strongest in the team in the original team human torch and sue storm are stronger as Johnny can go super nova and destroy a lot of stuff and sue has lots of abilities later on silver surfer joins and becomes the seconds strongest member to ever join the first being Franklin Richards crystal is also debatable for stronger than the thing
"The Fantastic Four are Marvel's First Superheroes" since when has anyone ever thought that? I'm pretty sure everyone in the first world knows that Captain America existed before them, even if they don't know who the ACTUAL first Marvel superheroes are
The game of past and future stories started after we get FANTASTIC FOUR as FAMILY. Hence chronologically, they aren't the first Family and us know that COSMIC RAYs were intended.
"...And Johnny can move at super speed" Way to bury the headlines, Speed is what you go to as one of Human Torches abilities?! Thing is Stronger, but is Sue has the most power and even that can be debatable compared to Johnny's upper limits
The Thing is the strongest while Susan's power is to make herself and other things invisible and create invisible force fields that can act as solid objects that move.
The Thing is physically the strongest however Sue is not the strongest in terms of powers the title goes to Franklin Richards who with the possible exception of Nate Grey is the most powerful character in the entire Marvel Universe
Mention the All-Winners Squad but not The Young Allies? Why? A few of these are arguably wrong, others are debatable. I'm certain I saw HERBIE get destroyed... but if Marvel heroes can constantly die and resurrect, I don't suppose rebuilding a robot would be difficult.
Honestly the whole rumour that Herbie replaced Human torch because of safety concerns is kinda dumb anyway when you think about it. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I know kids aren’t exactly known for their logical and rational reasoning skills, but I like to be proven wrong. And I like to give the benefit of the doubt that most kids have enough common sense to realise setting themselves on fire would be a very bad, and extremely painful, idea. 😂
Ka-Zar was created before Human Torch and appeared in Ka-Zar pulp magazine a few years before the Human Torch, Namor the Submariner, and a character called Angel although not the guy with wings and he reappeared in issue they were in which was called Marvel Comics number 1.
Retcons are garbage and any comic book reader that respects continuity will tell you that. Man, you should know that...sounds like yer on the Marvel Payroll. Prolly one a the worst lists I ever watched...No lie. \m/
I have a big problem with Avengers One Million BC... there weren't any humans then. The closest thing to a modern human is only about 2.5 million years old. I know "it's a comic book, chill", but it just doesn't work for me.
The reason the Fantastic Four are considered the first Marvel heroes is because they're the start of the "Modern Age", not because they are literally the first Marvel hero. Namor takes that title.
Namor? I would have thought it was Captain America.
@@robertnelson9599 nah namor is an OG 40's superhero and sometimes even villain in certain issues

Man, my thoughts exactly as I watched lol.
FINALLY someone gets the difference between being the most strongest compared to being the most powerful other people tend to get the two mix up.
And they are Marvel's first team, since before that they were called Timely comics.
Sue once took down a Celestial on her own- she's no one to be trifled with.
But if their powers are linked, and he's alive 3000 years in the future without the others....
Comic Logic
He keeps their corpses in his bedroom
I wouldn't take that seriously most writers will probably ignore that story.
Being a writer in the comic book industry & handling a big company's IP, it must be difficult keeping track or up to date with all the character's lore & history
Thing is the strongest member of the team while Sue is the most powerful. There is a difference between strength and power
Reed Richards is the most powerful.
Wrong!
Physical Strength vs. Magical/Energy Power

I still disagree that Susan is stronger than The Thing. She's more powerful, not stronger
Half this list is flawed for reasons like that.
Lol what? Power is strength.
Physical Strength vs. Magical/Energy Strength?? Maybe??🤔

Well unfortunately Marvel decided that they were deliberate
Johnny’s actions as revealed in the Bride of Doom arc and his antics in Untold Tales of Spider-Man #1 is proof of his idiocy.
theyre not known to be the first superheroes, theyre known to be Marvels first family
Namor the Submariner had a family in 1939 he has a sister named Namora.
They are considered the first family not first hero’s
You are not very bright. The fact that they were intentionally struck with cosmic rays does not negate that they got their powers by accidentt, since no one would have thought that's what was going to happen.
Bombastic Bag Man is a menace!!
