This is repulsive. Imagine saying the word adultery to describe raping a child for years on end, while acting the whole time as a religious figure to his victim no less? Anyone who forgives this man doesn’t care about children at all. He should be in jail. And that’s keeping it kind compared to what really should be done to him.

I hope your dream comes true. Truth is very important to God , because lies can damn someone for ethernity. Way too many hypocrits are in the church and they value how they feel more than salvation. This video is an example of that, he hid the whole truth , because he believed he could decieve all the people there, God and I even believe himself. I believe if someone approaches you in truth and remource he should be forgiven. That was a performance for him, he did not want to admit his actions. And worst of all he did the typical bible shame , to force people to forgive him "Cmon guys let's follow what the Bible says" and christians fall for it. A lot of churches do that. Forgivness should be given in truth only.

This nothing at all what church discipline should be. Every part of this service was wrong. First the pastor should be standing in court before a jury instead of in church before his congregation. He should be permanently removed from the pastorate and barred from ever exercising authority over a congregation. He should not be able to explain or plead his case to the congregation because he will/did omit the most heinous parts that made what he did criminal so as to avoid due scrutiny. You could argue that it is ok to let the victim speak but that’s still iffy. What should have happened was a deacon should have explained the facts of the situation, read a written statement by the victim and recommend to the congregation to vote in favor of the permanent removal of the offender from the pastorate.

This sort of thing is common in "Christian churches". In the incidences I have seen, the pastors are glib, good-looking, wealthy, arrogant, are allowed free reign around youth because "they are church people", and they attract vulnerable people, who confess to them their deepest secrets. What do you think can eventually happen in an environment like that? People, I don't care if they are the nicest, most spiritual coach/pastor/uncle/grandpa/mentor/babysitter, you NEVER let people be alone with your kids of any age. This is true of any church.

Yeah, we’re all sinners but we’re NOT all pedophiles. Some acts are far worse than others and this act again does not deserve forgiveness especially with how it was presented.

All of these rapists in the church and all the other sins committed in the name of God are inexcusable. The coverup is horrible. The man saying this is adultery is ridiculous. This man doesn’t represent God. I wish more people would understand that, but instead whenever something like this happens it understandably turns people away. Watching the response of the congregation, the spirit of Balaam (allowing immorality) and the spirit of Nicolaitans (religious dictatorship) RULES this church (see Revelation 2:12-17). And Christ promises no perversion will remain hidden because He will expose the hidden perversion. The Spirit moved on this brave woman's heart to topple this pastor's kingdom.
