- WE ARE BACK with another look at easter eggs in the Gran Turismo series of video games, and I've also extended this video to look at a few secrets as well.
For a series that's not known for its easter eggs, there are a lot of them! In most cases, you just have to look closely at the details of the cars, the tracks, and the scenery in general.
But to save you all the job of having to do that, I've picked out fifteen more easter eggs and secrets for you. Be sure to check out the other parts to this series if you want to see more!

2:52 i'm 100% certain that this is Chicago tilted 90 degrees counterclockwise
Yeah the area by South City looks exactly like Navy Pier
Well we did it boys, this mystery is no more.
Can confirm, the area around the machine test is basically Meigs Field, a closed down airport which used to be the staple starting airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator
Yeah the second he pointed it out I realized it. I can't believe I never noticed this, living in chicago myself.
Awesome find! :D
I'm guessing Snoop Dogg made a cameo in Grand Turismo 4 hence why the smoke in Apricot Hill.

East City displays the south-east section of the Tokyo C1 Loop. That's so cool!
In Gran Turismo 7, there better be an easter egg of driving the Ford GT in Rome.
really?
It should be a challenge race against a '66 GT40 or a time trial.
@@joshuaxiong8377 There was a driving mission in GT6 where you had to race against a Ford GT '06 with the GT40 Mk1.
Or a ford gt one make race od championship , both a classic and modern one. With either just rome or having rome as the final race
Maybe even an Achievement:
"Classic Cheater"
Win a race in Rome with a GT40.

You should try to pick up a used copy, its to bad you'll miss some dlc cars, but if you dont update the game you can use an editor and somewhat make your own cars( not edit looks but you can change all the performance aspects) it's really great.
And the game shouldn't be to expensive to pick up it usually like 5 bucks in Europe.
2. Also to this, the 1999 Castrol NSX also has logos for Japanese rock band L'Arc~En~Ciel
.
6. The C6 RMs have yellow color by default when they became separately purchasable cars in GT6. (I always wanted the Z06 RM to be a Gr.3 car, considering it was on Touring Car Battle in GT6's quick matches.)
10. "[The 8C's] Luggage space is tight, but a fitted set of Schedoni calfskin bags makes the most of it." (Also there's the watch in BRZ GT300 and a Nokia phone in the TT WRX.)
15. This QR code was also in the R35 GT-R TC in GT5 and GT6, by the way.
EDIT: Another idea would the power limiter requirement in GT6's NASCAR event. Used to simulate restrictor plates, they were used only in Daytona and Talladega, but in this game they also used it in Indianapolis and Motegi (which had an NASCAR exhibition race in 1998). They actually used restrictor plates outside of Daytona/Talladega at New Hampshire (designated as an intermediate oval by NASCAR) in September 2000, after deaths of Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin Jr earlier that year.
14:35 "there is a big number 69" Nice!
10 seconds later
OH NO!
That's the number of a dead moto GP driver right? (I don't watch moto GP so I'm not sure)
@@arry5432 Yes, that was a tribute to Nicky Hayden.
😂😂
It took me a while to realize what the number means, thought it was about the rapper
1:20 you are right, you can actually see most of Rome Circuit looping around the green area, with T1 being right next to the Lancia icon
Nice avatar pic sr.
Can't see it
saw someone post it on Jposting group

1:23 funny thing, you can actually spot a part of the GT2's Rome Circuit in that menu.
5:55 there's no way the stock hood weighs 100 KG

It's probably 100lbs saved
I think for Apricot Hill it’s more of a fog or a haze than a forest fire.
yeah that type of fog would always form along the hillsides of lime rock park, it was actually very pretty. I think a lot of circuits in japan are the same since they're built in hilly wooded areas
I was hopeing This QR code will take us to the Rick Astley

At it again with Easter Eggs, I see? Alright then, cool. I already know most of these, but it's fun to see them compiled together like this.
Anyway, I have a few things to say about these easter eggs myself. Starting with the Saleen SR, I think another reason why Home Improvement was a sponsor on the car itself was because Tim Allen himself was involved with Saleen's racing team back in the late 90s. He even went racing himself in the SCCA World Challenge back then, which was of course in another racing class altogether.
About Apricot Hill, I don't know why people would consider that an Easter Egg; it's clear that PD added the 'smoke' as an effect for the background. I mean, a lot of mountain ranges in the distance will be covered by clouds or just look foggy. So, it probably was done for a realistic effect.
Another fun thing to note about GT5 is that there were other RMs that were roughly based on real-world race cars. I recall the 1969 Camaro Z/28 RM in GT5 & 6 being based on the 1969 Camaro Trans Am race car and the same being for the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T's RM. The only thing that annoyed about about the C6 Corvette RMs was that neither used any of the Corvette C6R liveries, which would've made more sense. In addition, I wished PD just plan on made a premium Corvette C5.R than just referencing it in a Racing Mod. I'm sorry to others, but I think that would've been a better use of PD's modelling effort.
A big reason why the Saleen SR had the Home Improvement logos on there was because Tim Allen himself worked with Steve Saleen back in the day, and had formed a new team called 'Saleen-Allen RRR Speedlabs.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saleen
You went ok wikipedia they always change everything there, the facts you stated aren't all true
For the first Easter egg. I’ve seen a forum in gt planet if I remember showing a pretty close comparison between the maps in game and in real life.
Another interesting fact about the Saleen SR, Tim Allen himself actually was a guest driver for publicity for the team. Famously one time having a burnout (eleven'ses) contest with Jay Leno on his respective show, with Jay in his own custom tuned Buick GNX (IIRC), and Tim in the Saleen.
I remember seeing this
I’ve never really thought of gran Turismo as one of those games loaded with Easter eggs. But the ones that are there are always interesting
14:02 "Dan Gurney passed away in 2018." So did his car, the Cuda in the same year.
The main menu/over world map is Chicago
Shuichi Shigeno actually owned (or owns not sure if he still has em) the 86 featured in GT as well as a blue WRX STi like Buntas!
Interesting that its blue in real life. Its grey in the manga and blue in the anime
2:26
That Eastern map is definitely Minato-ward (in the special authorised wards of Tokyo), not Kawasaki-ward (in Kawasaki city).
Pretty interesting! But that Carbon Hood alone doesn't save 100kg.
Anyways.. What i find a lot more interesting is it's engine modifications and the fact that it revs so high and has so much power as an NA engine.
The cover car if some versions of GT3 is actually a 996 911, turn the image upside down and you will see the iconic headlights!
I assume its on the cover because Kaz has a 996 911 GT3.
I have wondered about that for over a decade. Thank you.
wouldn't it be a RUF CTR?
@@kasuraga No, its a 911, you can see the bumper being too round for the RUF
@@demioxdtouring in that case it's the RUF RGT or 3400S
The city map layout really interesting to find

técnicamente, el circuito se puede jugar en gt5 gracias a un mod junto a otros circuitos como ya ha mencionado en el videi
For me, the biggest easteregg or surprise was the city we see in the beginning of this video. Its my birthtown. It was very nice to see this in my favourite game
I just found your channel and it made my day! you made me look forward into life and not let challenges get in the way!
There is an Amusement Park behind Suzuka Circuit, you can see a Ferris Wheel Roller Coaster and some other bits of the Amusement Park in the Scenery behind the Front Stretch in GT4
Almost 100% sure the map is Chicago as you can make out what used to be meigs field.
I don't think a Carbon hood is going to save 100kg haha, otherwise great video!
true
There's no way any body panel on the AE86 weighs 100kg let alone the hood. Maybe 10kg.
Maybe he means the entire weight is 100kg lighter compared to a normal ae86
@@ramadhanisme7 Yeah that would make a lot more sense.
On the Main Map you can see Chicago... but it's turned right by 90 degrees.
For example the machine test Icon is on the old meigs field airport.😉
A bit of further info on that Home Improvement sponsor. Steve Saleen and Tim Allen worked together to create the Saleen Allen RRR Speedlab race team which that livery is taken from. Saleen even made a one off Ford Windstar for Allen that he had supercharged and gave a widebody kit as well.
The smoke looks more like a regular cloud
Fog rolling off from the valley. Previous iteration was dusk. In 4 it’s morning on track.
Excellent work! Keep up!
That map thing made my day. Thanks.
I love the Grand Tour part you used

Great video very nostalgic 👍😁
That Yakuza 3 poster really blew my mind. Seeing namco brand and other video game brands in GT was very interesting but seeing a literally different game title makes it more surprising.
IRacing, Auto Modellista, Sonic Hedgehog, Konami, GT really blew my mind with these advertisements.
@@KikuraKun yeah iRacing as being an alternative to GT series. Glad Polyphony and Sony is chill about that OR they have no idea what brand is that.

There is a way to get the Ferrari Enzo as a standard car in Gran Turismo 5. You just need to transfer your GTPSP car collection and then you will see the Enzo as a standard car.
Can't be the only one binging these videos while waiting for march to arrive
yay more secrets I like it keep it up
East City is south-west of Hamarikyu Gardens (the greenery in the top right)
'Third installment of this series of video games dedicated to the Easter eggs and secrets of the GT video games' 😅
ABOUT THE LOCATION OF THE MAPS ON GT2 (the first easter egg on the vídeo)
YES! IT IS TRUE. One day I was on the brasilian GT2 fan group on Facebook when someone shared a post of real places os the world (like google earth printscreens) comparing them with the background of the cities of GT2 (and even one for the main menu as well!)
Its a Very old post, so, will be Very hard to find It
Really Great job ;)
2:58 it looks like Chicago tilted 90 degrees because you can see the canal flowing into Lake Michigan right next to a pier which I assume is navy pier
If wasan't this channel, i would never knew about this easter eggs.
2:57 is definitely Chicago, Illinois. the rivers and the lagoon make me sure of it.
Can't wait for this vid!
Same bro
There's also the AI cars in GT SPORT's GT League that use custom liveries which may be referring to actual race cars or in the case of the Red Bull cars, the finals in the FIA competitions.
All 4 delerships location correspond to Tokyo neighboroud
11:57 oh yes, Ayrton Senna, a brazillian hero
I didn't know a car that is an exact copy of the real version having the same sponsors as the real version an easter egg or secret. The race modded C6s looking a lot like the C5R is also neither.
The race mod C6s are copycats of the real C6R GT2 class!
3:50 That mustang was in the Tacoma, WA Auto Museum along with the Saleen exhibition, and I think it's still there!
Third part. HOORAY
The Simulation Mode map is actually Chicago but sideways
You've probably been told this already but the main screen map from GT2 is Chicago, turned clockwise 90 degrees. In Chicago the shoreline runs north-south, not east-west. The two large peninsulas on the right side of the GT2 map are the modern water purification plant and the Navy Pier. The peninsula on the left side of the screen was at the time Meigs Field airport which was demolished in 2003 and replaced by...a swamp, which apparently is supposed to grow into a lovely nature preserve within a couple decades. GT2's map of Chicago must be pretty old or weirdly drawn because various shoreline elements are not true to life. The roads are also somewhat representative - the whispy white lines along the top of the menu represent freeways - but also seem like an artist's interpretation.
1.23 If you look closely, the outline of Rome Circuit can be seen
On gt4 there is a easter egg if you quickly swap though a normal car and a race car on a dirt track car selection you can use it
I miss the Easter egg car from beating arcade mode on professional
2:50 - thats Chicago, "Machine Test" is on top of the old Meigs Field airport, nowadays known as Northerly Island Park, "South City" icon is on top of the Chicago River mouth and the Navy Pier.
I've always wondered what that giant cane was about in the bottom right edge of the world map in GT2. Could it be a real landmark? 🤔
Just to add to the Home Improvement tidbit on the Saleen SR Widebody, the Founder of Saleen formed a race team with Tim Allen (same actor from Home Improvement) called Saleen Allen RRR Speedlab. So it's a no brainer why they have Home Improvement sponsors on their car.
14:56 Then i guess you could say that he was a bit of a HotRod *_EYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?_*
I miss the old Granturismos man. So much fun.
Great intro m8

Underrated comment
8:54 There is Seattle Circuit for the Acura NSX Concept Trailer from Gran Turismo 6.
Are you deaf?
I can comfortably say that south city is definitely The Big Apple, New York City. More towards the Lower Manhatten.
For the Namco flag grandstand, I thought you were referring for Suzuka as well, which means, that is the only Circuit that had 3 other Major Game Developers featured at once (Also for Konami, check the R8 2004 from Forza 3, and eventually go to the only racing game made by said studio, hence why is featured in Mie's flagship track)
Imagine if that QR code would rick roll you

10:48 *_PTSD INTENSIFIES_*
8:58 Seattle circuit is coming back for gt7 and also speaking of that I think what I going to do is I will open up the new street circuit track that gran turismo done it Seattle circuit is greatest street circuit for the entire series!
Had someone asked kaz about Seattle files on gt5 and not getting added?
Idk if it's been told already, but on GT4, the nike one 2022 has on the side of the car the webpage of the designer written on morse code.
2:56 it might be Chicago?
Good video.. but about the carbon hood of the AE86... it doesnt save 100 kg.. or the stock car will be very nose heavy 🤣🤣 it might save 15 to 20 kg.. depending on how its constructed and how much metal is used...
7:10 I think namco appears because they have the license of twin ring motegi for their game called “R: Racing Evolution” this game has been out after GT4. Search that game it’s awesome in my opinion, everybody thinks that game has a relation with Ridge racer but it’s completely different, the gameplay and this game have licensed cars and circuits. And the replay mode is exciting in my opinion. I think R: Racing Evolution need a sequel or remake.
