definitely lol made it even more funny and obvious when Andy busts out laughing
You get it! He’s Red. He was the point man.

Rapier is probably one of the most badass lastnames a warrior can have
A man at ease with himself
Love Bill Rapier. The man is just a bad ass but so cool and a great instructor. His classes/ courses are outstanding and he’s incredibly humble.
Once covid is under control I´m flying over from Europe to take one of his classes for sure. A really lovely man.
@@dickaldordid you ever?
No Sir, not yet! It´s on the list. Did a two week trip to Normandy, France last fall so got to save up some (alot) of money. @@JB-td9fz
Thank you for having these conversations and letting the rest of us listen in. Blessings.

Had the good fortune to train with Bill back in August. Excellent instructor and I'd train with him again in a heartbeat. Super smart, chill and extremely competent guy.
I have been fortunate to be able to take a couple of courses with Bill in the last few years. He is one of the nicest, most humble, bad dudes you will ever meet. Love the honesty and vibe that Andy's podcast gives off on a consistent basis. Great show with Bill !!
Perfect timing. Signed up for a class with Bill early next year.
It's next level awesome. You did yourself a favor
Well done. You won't regret it.
This was one of my favorite episodes.
Holy shit. I just found out who he is. Wow. Respect Sir
So interesting, so humble, understated with a sense of humor and you can tell super smart. Ten bucks says this is the guy who actually schwacked UBL. But we will never know. Hope his post military career gives him everything he ever wanted in life. Seems like a real genuine dude. How did I miss this one when it came out!?
🎯
Bill Rapier: “From what I’ve read…”
Also Bill Rapier: “I’ve not read any SEAL books since rogue warrior”
@WesselBadenhorstMe most likely he was referring to reading an after action report.
Multilingual, speaks a little bit of Pashto at least, quite a shooter already on coming to that unit, senior at time of raid, obviously intelligent. Add to that he is extremely devout and private family man, seems like someone who everyone knows would never speak up or seek fame. Probably won’t know for a very long time, but if I had to make an educated guess, I’d think it was him. One strike against it, he said himself on Ritland podcast that all people he shot were pretty far away. I don’t see him lying, so makes me think he wasn’t the dude. Also maybe there is no Red, the unit is Red, so they decided the whole unit takes credit. 🤷♂️
What an awesome humble guy.
I appreciate y’all.
So much good stuff. Thx Andy and Bill. Awesome, awesome stuff.
Super great instructor. Taken 3 classes, worth every penny.
Great conversation!!
Thank you gentlemen for your service and for sharing your wisdom.
Great show , more Bill Rapier please
That story about when Bill called for PC assist is actually quite meaningful for those who know. I believe the reason Bill kept saying you saved my life is that it was the first time Andy ever shot someone, it was a 13 year old kid, he fell down the stairs and Andy had to finish him Infront of his mom, that was the day they were talking about. Andy still thinks about the kid often. So i believe Bill was trying to make it easier for Andy.
Wow. Where does he talk about this? I’ve never heard him tell the story in detail.
@@keithnash8899In his podcast with Mike. It clearly still bothers him, he said he sees that kid often and sometimes in his own kids. What happened is the kid was running up with an unloaded gun to protect his father who was sleeping on the roof and yelling for help, the mother followed after the kid. Andy saw the gun and did the only thing he could've, the kid fell down the stairs and started rocking back and forth clearly suffering and Andy fired 3 more shots to end his pain. He then spent the next 30 minutes holding that position while the kids mother was wailing in agony next to him. It's super heavy stuff and it's pretty obvious Bill being the modest good Christian he is was trying to make Andy feel better by saying he saved his life.
@@leelotungal819 "thanks for saving me from that little kid with an empty gun" says the American Marine commando 😔
@@kxkxkxkx it’s a tough thing to swallow man.. I really respect these guys but I just find it crazy that they call politicians crooked but yet when these said politicians become president they are blindly just following the order of shitty politicians…
@@kxkxkxkx It was learned after the fighting had ended... Someone running at you with a gun is a threat, whether it's loaded or not (which they had no way of knowing)
God bless this man
Great to wake up with coffee and sit down for a podcast on a rainy, working from home day. Thanks for providing another episode, Andy. Cheers.
What a humble son of a gun!! This was an amazing podcast!! Thank you Mr. Stumpf and Mr. Rapier
Wow....another great and captivating interview! Well done gentleman and thank you!!
I love when Bill says “ I think the way we win is by being serious about America “ absolutely correct. Thank you Bill Rapier your a true American warrior and absolute badass !
Amazing guest. What a solid American.
I enjoyed this episode. Bill sounds like a stand up guy.
Thanks for getting Bill on podcast. Didn't know but thats a man I aspire to be.
Great content! Roll on Andy with your guests who have actually been there and done it. Thank you my friend. Your content needs to be heard and make no mistake, you’re being heard loud and clear
Most humble man every.... Thank you for your service Bill
GREAT podcast. Loved being a voyeur to two honorable guys who obviously have much affection and respect for each other share some storied and opinions. Also appreciated not shying away from the tough stuff. Thanks for your service, gentlemen, and for living your patriotism!

😉👍🇺🇸 Love the show another great one.
This is one of your best shows my friend. That's saying a lot because I enjoy EVERY ONE youve done. I'm not gonna call you guys heroes but I'll say that you two went above and beyond and I appreciate the service to my country. Keeping us safe while the rest of us slept. We can never thank you enough because we dont know all that you done. Lets keep it that way. You two are the most humble men ive heard from. Keep up the great work. God bless you both and God bless America. 🇺🇸
Thank you sir
This was a great conversation from both of you guys. Very entertaining and now I'm checking out your knives. LOL !
Great podcast today, Bill is a badass
Love how bill is talking about how it’s not just fighting radical Islam but Islam itself as a whole is radical in its basic teachings.
@John Smith there are radical Christians who believe in Armageddon and will justify killing because the world is about to end. David Koresh was radical. Muslims in Jordan are not Wahhabist and aren’t trying to destroy Israel, Moroccan Maliki aren’t either. Sunni Wahhabi Islam from KSA and the Gulf are the exporters of 90% of the radical Islam yet they are military partners of the U.S. Until we stop buying the petroleum from and stop selling weapons to KSA, this problem will remain.
Strait legends...!! The lot of yall. Thanks for the vid
Might be my favorite guest so far...really enjoyed watching.
As always, a great episode!!!!!!
Bill is a very dangerous man. God bless him.
Great podcast.. Thanx again.
I was going to recommend him to come on the podcast since he was on some of the same missions you were, most notably the one where you were backlight, but you are hot top of it! Can't wait to listen to it!
Just listened to this again Andy if you see this I think hearing BUD/S stories from Mr. NightMeyer himself would be a must watch segment
Get some!
You keep my attention for 3 hours!
I was pleased to say the least. I wish as a father that I could, hopefully will, get my son to listen to podcasts like this. He's new to the military and I think this information would be invaluable to him. Problem would be getting him to slowdown enough to REALLY LISTEN!
Incredible episode with an incredible human! In many ways, Bill reminds me of what I’ve read about Adam Brown. Humbling to know these men exist.
Great episode!
Hearing these two laugh and share stories is the best medicine ever for vets all around. What a brotherhood!! God Bless you Andy and Bill!!
Good one guys. I enjoyed it
I love both your thoughts on Conceal carry versus open carry and agree 100% on your beliefs about it so true
LEGENDS
Thank you Andy for another great podcast. From my own opinion, Bill is an excellent instructor, his attention to detail in his class speaks volumes of his past instructors.
A couple of humble dudes, telling stories, getting an occasional dig about a PC Assist and whatnot.
Bill is one heck of a cool dude.
100%
My nephews are currently working up on his house they told me he’s a very interesting guy and to check him out certainly didn’t disappoint.
Andy, I love that you don't beat on religion. You treat it with its due respect. It's one of your really good qualities.
Rest in peace, Ryan Larkin. You were a great dude to deploy with and will be missed. I wished I kept in touch. Fair winds.
This is crazy timing because I want to sign up for a class next year💪🏾
"BUZZKILL" is the most important/impactful guest so far. His kindness represents how everyone (worth being alive) should feel about the topic yet has the beautiful combo of brilliant and badass that can actually make a difference.Thank you for continually interviewing people who are cut from the same cloth as you, keep it up Andy.
What a thoughtful guy.
Love it bro .
Such a great talk. The boys fall back into each other perfectly. One of my favorite interviews of team guys shooting the shit together. Every true warfighter I've met are great freaking people.
Thanks!
Excellent 👍
Good guys don't always make for good interviewees. You did great job of being entertaining and keeping the interview going.
Awesome!
“...and there were some internet computers there...”
Such an awesome guy!
Awesome show
Hearing about Bills life like this explains the kind of guy he was on the mats. I went to sleep in his arms a couple times through out my early years of BJJ. Glad to have had the opportunity to be around men like this
Bill doesn't have an Off switch. Also glad to know him.
Andy is so funny laughed as I listened on way back from work in the car!
I’m guessing Andy’s cold spell in Calispell won’t last long, eh?
@@eivoilaittaaverotukseen6426 not sure I just know here in Australia its stinking hot!
That Vietnam tigerstripe MACV-SOG hoodie Andy is wearing is absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great podcast
So I have no military experience, never even considered enlisting… probably not the target audience at all… that being said I am thoroughly enjoying these conversations and love that I found this channel. Great interviews.
This itself is therapy
Yippee! Happy Monday!
I need that hoodie and more episodes with tier one guys please.
Rapier's a man's man...I love the guy...cool, understated, yet incredibly talented. Semper Fidelis, brothers. /s/Scott Adkins, GySgt (USMC) (ret'd.). :)
If Bill was on the UBL Raid he is one humble guy. If he was “the” guy, then I am speechless.
🤫
Apparently it was Rob O'Neil. But yes very humble indeed
Apparently it was Rob O’Neill, says Rob O’Neill
I almost choked on my sandwich when you said "north farse" 🤣 This was a great interview
Just great.
Now i want some coffee.
I get why Bill wants to be hush about Neptune's Spear, but man it would've been great to get his insight. I think I have read everything about that raid; getting Bill to cut through all the noise and conflicting stories, because he is such a humble straight shooter, would have been extremely interesting and valuable.
This. Don’t know why but I think O’Neill is probably not telling how it really went down. Or maybe he is, but something about Rob rubs me the wrong way.
@@HenriHuikuri I have a feeling bill was there
@@michaelfireoved3375 I have a feeling Bill was more than just there
@@HenriHuikuri thought it was just me .. weird vibe watching him
What makes me wonder is how strongly Andy reacts any time someone says Rob got UBL
Your 'first cup of coffee' story sounds like some kind of spook flashback. Lol. "There we were, 2 operators sipping coffee, playing chess in a little hole in the wall in Uzbekistan." Priceless!
medical practice "iv/needle etc." is super important.. Dick Thompson talked about it with his SOG team on Jocko's podcast.
Well this is an awesome way to start a morning let alone week at that!
LETS GOOO!
“When I was eleven I decided I liked cereal. And I decided I could eat it breakfast, lunch, and dinner”
-Andy Stumpf
Cool to see somebody elses perspective on the Favorite Jacket story. Now I'm really wanting to see what kind of jacket that was
I can't emphasize enough how important the point is about hiring LEOs due to merit, rather than quotas. Thank you for mentioning that.
I’m happy with LEOs shooting and killing bad guys. I like it the way it is.
I am really becoming a fan of the Andy Stumpf show. You can tell how much more well rounded he is getting in interviewing.
As always good Sir, a great listen/watch. Either way you listen, you’re engaged. Also another great guest to do a tactical asshole episode with. Thanks again.
Guest-“I was thinking and talking in German at the age of 10”
Andy-“I decided I liked cereal at that age”
Hahahaha that fucking killed me
Great dude
I would love to hear more about the sqi schools seals go to. Sf guys talk more openly about them. Pat mac talked about dirt bike school. Knife defense etc.
I NEED TO SEE THE MIKE MAIER PODCAST
I know I'm watching this years after, Mr.Stumpf, but I agree completely about watching videos of people breaking bones. It creeps me out bad. I can deal with it if I stumble on it. The only thing I look up is jump scare videos, because they are funny AF. Nice guest that really shot some guy named Bin, perhaps.....
I wish they had videos of these two guys during combat, cause I bet they would b hilarious together!!! Especially if they both are narrating the video at the same time.
These 2 guys are hilarious!!
Did my first Special Warfare Deployment with, Bill. Then surfed the Gold Coast of Australia with him. What's up brother!!!
What was his call sign?
This was an awesome episode. Andy seemed so stoked to be talking to Bill
