Man I wish Oppo would release this globally.
One plus is going to be using this form factor when they release in the U.S since they are owned by the same company.

I have been using the find N2 since December and I still love it. Left the fold 4 for this phone and I have no regrets

Oppo Find N2 has been the only folding phone until now I find interesting and it's purely due to its form factor. It seems pocketable and comfortable. I'm also baffled that Oppo hasn't released it in the EU and North America. I'd definitely buy this phone. Enjoyed the review a lot. Don't stress about taking a bit longer to review stuff. Worth the wait! 😁
The Trump sanctions continued under Biden in the US make it difficult for them here. In the EU the Huawei sanctions impact all Chinese phones due to modems they supply so it’s also difficult
Form factor and aspect ratio are two completely different things. Don't confuse the two.
The form factor is it being a foldable phone.
It Will Probably Come Later This Year As The First OnePlus Foldable phone .. As you can clearly see from the Oneplus Pad or Oppo Pad 2 (China Version of Oneplus Pad).. What’s most likely is a newer / better/ upgraded version will come out as this foldable phone debuted on Dec 2021.. Oppo as usual will launch a new foldable like a month earlier than OnePlus and from there we can see what can we expect from the first OnePlus Foldable Phone 😊

I like it has a mostly normal front display form factor. A friend has a Fold 2 and its tall and narrow display constantly screws up her muscle memory for texting and looks pretty weird for content. The Find looks like they've mostly hit the right targets for their displays.
Yes looks great I have the fold 2 but hardly use the front screen as to narrow for me but this form factor looks just right.

That hole punch has golf green hole status. Need to get that new UDC updated tech installed on the next one (or OnePlus V)
Are you able to run split screen in landscape mode? I've only ever seen portrait, which isn't good for wanting to watch a RUclips video while scrolling Chrome or another app.

While i do think the form factor on the oppo is more appealing than the z fold 3 ive been daily driving, things like a slightly better crease dont even hold a candle to the ipx8 rating for me. The crease hasnt bothered me one bit when staring at my fold from normal viewing angles after using it for the last 15 months, but i know i wouldve destroyed many foldables from water/moisture ingress if it was any other phone. Hopefully one of these companies will actually compete with samsung on that front at some point, or samsung will give us an alternate form factor, but im not holding my breath.
Its also worth noting that the narrow folded state on the fold is actually very useful for when you have at least relatively deep pockets and want to carry something like a hard iem case in parallel with your phone in one pocket, while keeping keys and wallet in the other.

Hi Mark, were you able to get Google Services like gmail, google wallet, google calendar and all to run on this phone? (I think that there is no Google Play on the phone!)
Does youtube or normal netflix shows any black bars when watching on the outside screen or the big screen?
The bezels on the OnePlus Open aren't symmetrical. The top is 2-3mm thicker, but you don't see that in renderings
The dimensions are perfectly perfect for a phone. The Google pixel fold is also of a great dimensions very similar to this one. The One Plus just missed this fold to launch under its brand

so i have one since one mounth but i see lot of default, for example google assistant doesnt work, the ''ok google '' is not possible.

I've been using oppo find N2 past month too, overall experience really awesome x loving it! I even bought S23 Ultra to test out in between, but Find N2 still gt the W!

I just found out about Oppo Find N2 after I found the OnePlus Open and now I'm thinking about what I should buy between the two, they're both cool for me as a Multitasker, but I kind of want a comparison between the two!
I hope OnePlus V Fold has a bigger screen smaller bezels and all the multi-tasking and form factor issues ironed out by the time it comes out.

I respect the efforts put on reviews but many reviewers seems to focus A LOT on hardware and forget the software experience! We deal with apps, without apps all phones are practically from 2000s era, so how was the app functioning on this foldable? How twitter functions? Are tweets stretched out? What about Instagram? Facebook or snapchat?
The reviewer said let’s address the elephant in the room (The software) yet, he spent a minute talking about split screen and how games are stretched to fit the screen!
The hardware part of the phone is the easiest part of any phone review, because it’s physical and and specs are written, but software requires actual long use of the phone and many reviewers barely scratch the surface on this part which makes me think that not many spend good amount of time using phones. 😅

Why can’t I find this one? The website shows a foldable but it’s opening up and down not side to side .
I've just ordered one, being shipped to the UK. I'm really hoping my experience is as good as yours seems to have been. I love Samsung software & UI, but as much as I want to love the Fold series they're just to big & brick-like for me.
Many months in and still working great over here in Canada! Minor bugs every now and again, but I'm willing to live with it for the form factor.

@Carl Gunderson I think he means when you have it open and lay the phone down, the front screen is laying on a surface. Just get a screen protector for it OP

What's the controller you're using for mobile gaming? Want to buy it haha Great review BTW! A benefit of me living in China is having access to this and bought it and LOVE IT. I have small hands so it's one of the few phones that feel so comfortable and the fingerprint reader is in the perfect place for me. I like the heft as well. Very solid build, always gets comments and questions and I'm more than happy to show it off ❤️

I was hoping Google Pixel Fold would be in the same size/dimensions as this one. Unfortunately it's not, but fortunately it's not too far off. However, this Oppo Find N2 phone has the better internal display (less visible crease and uniform bezels).
I bought it in Feb. happy to have good mobility and big screen of course. I feel the software adaption is few and slowly for me, for example Twitter is not adapted to foldable screen ( inside ). May I know what version are you using and do you know when Oppo release the model to oversea ( so that I can enjoy more apps specially oversea apps ) ?
I'm on the latest version. You have to download the google play store to get all the apps I have.

Oppo knocked samsung cold out, will never recover again though am 22 ultra owner just waiting for fold 5 and OPPO video made me think twice. Very neat finish.

Remove punchholes in both screens, I'll use main cameras for video calls, put a proper fingerprint reader on screen, update it to SD Gen 2 and sell it globally. Then it will be just perfect
Do you have any issues receiving notifications? It's known some chinese devices tend to block background apps killing their notifications no matter what configuration you have.
I like a wider phone. Rumor has it Oneplus is going to launch a fold phone in 3Q of 2023 (based off the Oppo Find N2. How ever the fold open display will probably be 8") Price wise it has to match or undercut Samsung and Google folding phones. Then that will make 3 phones to choose from instead of one for the US market.

Do you think a phone of this size, while in its folded state, is usable? What I mean is a regular phone, not a folding phone. Because that's my dream to have a mini phone like that, that doesn't compromise on battery and most features, super portable and pocket friendly.

@yassinzao9790? They both foldable tablets and the z fold front screen is not as easy to use . That’s why the form factor in the Oppo is so much better

I think you're in the minority when it comes to wanting a front of screen fingerprint sensor. That side button sensor is exactly where people want it.
In fact, raising it up a bit is definitely the way to go. My wife has the Nord 200 5g, and the power button sensor is placed exactly where I'd hold the phone, so it constantly buzzes like I'm trying to unlock it. Raising it a half inch would be perfect.
I hate screen fingerprint sensors. They never work perfectly, and I'm constantly pressing my finger on the screen awkwardly, and repeatedly, to unlock. So annoying.
To each their own though I suppose.

it's a great phone but its nowhere near better then the galaxy fold so you say cause the hinge is better on this phone its makes the screen better um no it has a 1080p screen its nowhere near better then the fold screen this is a amazing phone. and since you love the hinge on that phone that has no gap it also has no ip rating.
