- Bad Company 2 just turned 10 years old, so I thought I'd hop back on again for old times sake. It's still very fun, even today! They made a classic game here. Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

I feel sorry for modern BF players who never got to experience this game at its height. Such a great game.
I'm sad that I skipped the BC games, I went straight from 2 to 3 and then to 1 and 5.. I wish they brought back 2142, I never had a good enough pc to play it at the time and it seemed like such a good BF.

@@lukaslofgren4457 I think because at the time I was playing on console and friends had pc so we couldn't play together. But from what I've played later on it was just a slightly improved version of BF3.
@@dehoedergia I couldn't play it for the same reason! I think there is a "revive" version... yep just googled it. It's called 2142 Reclamation. I wonder if there is anybody still playing. I might even check it out now if I can play it somehow

Ahhh man, when an objective was contested for a long time, and when you finally captured it there was absolutely nothing there other than holes and a tiny bit of foundations
Blowing up the entire forest on Nelson Bay rush, totally changed the map. Absolutely no cover for the attacking teams lol
The guns in this game felt like they had weight.. from the reload animations, the sound, the way the bullets travel, it’s difficult to explain.

Every gun sounded completely unique too, meaning you generally know who's firing what gun and which direction it's coming from, letting you plan accordingly for the encounter and exploit the weakness of what you're going up against. Great game

After 40 years of gaming, I can say this is/was the single best fps game for me.
Everything was right about it. Maps, weapons, vehicles, choppers, classes, graphics, sounds, servers, squads etc....

this was my first experience in the battlefield franchise back in highschool, it was/is the most complete experience in an fps shooter I've ever had. I would kill for them to take what made this game great and focus it into making the next battlefield. We want destruction, we want choice, and we want variety that lasts. no gimmicks.

I always had it on war tapes, put on my turtle beaches and absolutely blasted the volume. The sound design is fantastic in this game, I used to get so immersed lol

Only good battlefield campaign
No FPS can recreate how good this game felt to play. The map design, the movement, the guns, the story, the game mechanic were just soo beautiful. Miss this game soo much!
This map on Rush mode was something quite amazing back in the day

The map packs were all amazing
I remember finding out how to quick scope and I felt like a God. Shooting someone scoped in upped the damage, so if you could shoot someone just as the animation finished you would murder up close.
I miss this game so much.
I like it and Oasis in Rush mode.
This game, without a doubt, had the most crisp, realistic sounds. The fidelity of this masterpiece is unrivaled
War Tapes
You could literally tell which type of enemy soldier is by their lines when a grenade is thrown near them. This is my fav.
I have to say BF 1 rivals BC 2 in sound design in my opinion, it's also the two best BF's.
@@DuckAllMighty Bf1 was pretty unremarkable in my opinion, i enjoyed 3&4 more than bf1. Hell, i think i even played more hardline than bf1.
Robert Sludock for me BF3 and also worse in 4 was the downfall of The game play of the series. It became a worse CoD.

Honestly the graphics on this game looks better than some games that come out now. The immersion on this game is phenomenal.

The best battlefield ever made! Leveling an entire map should have never stopped being a thing I'm their games 😊
Right? It makes no sense to go backwards like that, especially since the games are on better hardware now.
The maps today just aren't built the same. Even if you could level everything, it would break the balance of the maps to do so. BC2 maps were just built differently, with full scale destruction in mind

ohhhh and classes had real value. in battlefield 3 every class just had everything. in BC2 you needed an engineer and a medic and a medic was made for healing and an engineer was made for blowing things up. battlefield 3; everyone had explosives and every gun and every tool so it was basically just a skin and a emblem. in bc2 if you had two snipers you were FURIOUS unless they were using the SVU and mortar striking/throwing c4 on the front lines and being sneaky as like a rogue engineer.
Back when games could be balanced, fun, and maintain a comfortable level of realism.

I remember playing this game on the 360 and running around paddling people with the defib. These were the days.
This was the most fun battlefield for me. The classes, maps, destructible environments, vehicles... It was all exactly perfect.
Yea, everyone always mentions the obvious things like destruction. But the details on the vehicles tho, I love driving the damaged Humvee around cuz the door wouldnt shut properly

The best online FPS ever imo. You could be tactical due to the decent size maps and small squads. Loved it. COD and the newer BF are just crowded chaos.
Havent bought anything from either COD or MW since, I wont. They already reached perfection.
I played this a lot back on console. I remember all my friends wanted me to play more COD but I was always a battlefield guy
The radio chatter in this game was THE BEST out of all the battlefields. Just listening will fully immerse you!

BC2 is what made me switch from COD and this is bittersweet moment for me and the nostalgia is hitting me hard. Today everyone who played this when it came out or years afterwards I hope life is going well for you, if not it will get better and hope you achieve your dreams.

Sound stage of this game is still absolutely fantastic. Beats most modern titles IMO.
Easily the best to this day.
There has never been a game that sniping was this satisfying.
Medal of Honor was pretty satisfying
And even more so in this map, with that beautiful m24 owww men. I remember just a couple hours in on the game being all wtf why I am not hitting the shots, and my brother said aim higher, my head exploded and some enemies after that too.
the bullet drop and the hits were something else. i remember haha
i totally loved to annoy camping M24/barret .50 snipers with a SSV at long range, ofc i often didnt get a kill despite playing hardcore(= MUCH more damage per hit), but i completely annoyed them so they had no easy way to camp and snipe at the "best" positions :D
I somehow only loved HC gamemodes, no hud, no crosshair when hip firing, "realistic" damage.
There were only 2 downsides in my opinion:
- you could only crouch, not lying around
- too often you got annoyed by 40mm grenade/explosive addicted fools which totally killed the fun/balance.
Still it was THE battlefield i really loved, hell i played this game more than any other game.

I remember countless hours playing this through the 2010s. The community remained very strong. It wasn’t until BF4 people started to transition really. But BC2 Vietnam was also one of my favorites without question.
That Vietnam DLC was epic

Many still play the modded version on modded servers , pretty great experience. I still play it. About 200-300 online

This game was good because the guns "felt" like that had punch, the sound was mega and the recoil meant anything above close range with an AR was tap fire time.
Definitely loved the sniping! This was the first game I ever got for PlayStation 3 and I LOVED the bullet drop mechanic. It made that cross-map headshot SO juicy!
This and Battlefield 3 were the peaks of the Battlefield franchise. 4 and 1 were good, but this and 3 were just special.

I would love for this to be remastered but they can't change a thing about the mechanics or it would not be the same. The only mechanic on PC i would want changed is that you can't strafe left of right while sprinting. That could be changed but everything else needs to stay the same. The graphics could get a nice overhal to 4k textures adn maybe new lighting like RTX or something.
A remake is better.

The sound in this game has never been matched, the explosions, echoes and bullets. This game made you want a pair of expensive headphones.

I bought a massive Panasonic home theater just for this game and there was a hardcore sound mode on the game, I've never been in a war but I imagine it was something like I experienced with that setup! My neighbour wasn't as impressed, it literally shook the walls 😂

Man I miss the games of this era. There was something so pure about it
I remember being stuck in a game, which was me alone vs a squad of 4. They took all the vehicles and would hunt me down in my recon kit while I hid in bushes and I’d try to blow up their vehicles as they’d pass by with c4 before they could kill me as I ran away. It was the most exciting tense match I ever played, and it brings me joy to this day.
This game was so chill. Today's shooter are just too damn fast and hectic for a casual like me :/
That's why I play bf1 sometimes, it's just chilling with its epic moments sometimes
I like BF5 but you can feel that some of the players are not chilling haha
I may like CoD, but I prefer BF when it comes to multiplayer because in BF, it gives me time to think, reposition, and ofc, have fun driving all kinds of vehicles
Especially 16 Vs 16 rush, it was just so good and simple
The new games are actually made for causals, but in reality it just makes a miserable experience for everyone.
Believe it or not, the guy who is melting you on the other team in cod, he isn’t really that good.
He killed you because of poor hit detection, connection quality, and cheap game mechanics.
Throw that kid in a game like this and he would be terrible.

I remember playing this before BF3 came out, starting playing at 9 pm, going full battles with 12 vs 12 players, and as time goes on, players leave the servers but veterans stay, going for an epic hide and seek showdown 4 vs 4 at panama canal during midnight. The best experience in my life.
there was a time when i was bored and i just bought this game at like a garage sale.. it was the best decision ive ever made. Out of a lot of shooters this game has a special place in my heart.

I fell in love with this game, i played it all the time when i got home, i always played by myself because my friends never had it until one day after playing a session of halo 3 custom games i ended up carrying and my friends asked how i got so good at aiming with a controller, i told them about bfbc2 and how the hit boxes and aim assist didnt hold your hand. They all bought it shortly after and pretty soon we had enough kids playing from school that we could fill up an entire team on rush.
Haven’t played this game or even thought of it in 6+ years… I randomly remembered it today somehow and man I miss this era of gaming and FPS games so much… BFBC2 aged so well, game was way ahead of its time in terms of gameplay, graphics, physics, and destruction. Also, I would say this game and BF3 had the classes perfect, loved sniping in this game
not only was it ahead of its time, but the devs have said they don't even know how to make a game like it. it's a mystery to them. it really has to do with the team at that time.

@@bretmaxfield4678 I loved this game, but the GOL was kind of OP. I think it did not have any breathing movement while scoped in, was crazy accurate, great scope with thin crosshair, low bullet drop and had decent enough hipfire to reliably no-scope enemies sneaking up to you for as far as 10+ meters, if necessary. It also was a 1-shot kill in close quarters, even to the body.
Agree...no scope glint...none of my scope have flashlights in them.
@@bretmaxfield4678 That just encourages camping far away with snipera though, people should be rewarded with 1 shots if they're playing aggressively with their team pushing objectives.
@@brandon8007 right lol. I don't think scope glint should always exist, and i'm sure with modern engines and ray tracing they would be able to make it so there is only scope glint when the sun reflects off the scope towards your position. that would be something i can get behind.

One of the best FPS games ever to be created. The dlc of Vietnam was absolutely beautiful! I played this game more than probably any other game back then.

Best battlefield. Best maps/design, voice overs, gun damage/sound, no sniper glare 👌, one shot sniper kill and stronger hand guns abs it was easier to get headshots… it’s like the models of the characters were bigger. Bullet drop was just right. Recons had mortar strikes and c4… literally everything was better than all the rest of the battlefields. Destruction as well and the the shotguns and lmgs were better. U had the option of body armor

This is a high quality FPS one of my favorites of all time.
This was the game that introduced me to Battlefield. BFBC2, BF3, and BF4 gave me countless hours of enjoyment, here's to hoping BF6 will do the same.
I love how the rifle explodes with every shot, and its echoes a second after.
That XMB weapon seems so badass. It fires its rounds so rapidly, like a beast and like a monster, apparently.
This game got so many things right. The sound was great, the guns felt super satisfying and each was enjoyable to use but by far the best aspect was the destruction. You could level the whole map.

My favorite part was the sound design and destruction, you felt like you had so much power with every gun and the map was just blown to hell by end of every match.

Amazing game, I still play it to this day. The explosion, destruction is very good, plus Vietnam is so special in its ambience.

The pump action shotgun, magnum rounds, and the 40mm slug. Legit laser beam that could out sniper the snipers from across the map. man i miss those days
This map on deathmatch, use a shotgun with slugs and enjoy butthurt snipers getting fucked by a shotgun. So much fun

Can anyone agree that when you played games back in the day you had more fun and you just couldn't wait to play more. Sure playing games now is fun and all, but it doesn't have the same feel to it, am i right?
