My first truck driving job was a 68 F Model Cabover and I hated it. Mack has come a long way. My buddy drives for Nascar and he says this is the best riding truck he has ever drove.
I really like the design. I would hope you can still get a standard transmission. Something I noticed, is the hand rails on the outside, I've really come to like them on the inside. They stay clean, and when driving in icey weather, you don't slide down an icicle. I noticed the gold dog, I believe that means all Mack components.
