  • Having watched all of the reviews and been offered the chance to buy I succumbed to the hype. Two thousand miles into ownership here are the top 5 positives in order of importance to me:
    (1) I get the sort of driving enjoyment that I have only previously experienced on a motorbike. Steering and how the car feels going around tight bends. On a tight twisty road third gear is all you need. Reasonable torque on slower turns and acceleration out of the corners is exiting without being scary. Driving position suits me really well.
    (2) The car looks fantastic with good proportions in a small size, which suits the tight roads I mostly drive on. In red it is a cliche of a sports car, which I think is a positive.
    (3) The automatic works well and with the paddle shifters the drive is very engaging. Changing down myself but generally letting the car change up. The timing between going into manual mode and the car switching back into auto mode seems just right. In sports mode the car marches how I like to drive.
    (4) The interior is just good enough. Controls are all in the right place and have a robust feel. As the interior is a bit old school I think it will age well.
    (5) Power delivery if the naturally aspirated engine makes the car drive quite similar to my motorbike, better than a turbo?

It's much better with the borla s-type Cat-back on it. It isn't too loud, but it also gives you enough sound to know where to shift. And it makes the experience 10x more enjoyable than it already is.
