I'm already so excited to see you guys for the first time ever this year. It's been a dream of mine to go on a Hook and the Light concert since 2020 - the year I discovered JD and NO. Me and a very good friend of mine will travel all the way through Germany (we are Germans obviously) to catch you in Strassbourg on May 22th. Why Strassbourg? Because Hooky doesn't tour in Germany this year and Stassbourg is the closest to my town ;-) And of course I already bought a ticket. Couldn't risk that the gig might be sold out if I wanted to buy it later, because otherwise I'd have to take an even longer train ride. And it already takes me 6 hours to get to Strassbourg. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this day and I'm very curious how a Hook and the Light gig feels like.
A friend went to all five shows the last time these guys played in Melbourne a few years ago. I only went to one of them. But I'm looking forward to seeing the band later this year.
I was at this gig in Brighton at Concorde2 and it was fantastic!! I have Hooky & TL many times and getting that Joy Division feeling is epic. Thank you Hooky & TL for touring and making it possible.

I've been at the "Unknown Pleasures/Closer" show (2013) and at the "Substance" show (2018) at the FLEX, Vienna. Awesome and impressive performances. Highly recommended. If you have the chance to go to a PH+TL show don't think twice. Would love to see them again. Any set.

On our last tour before the pandemic (2019) we were playing two New Order albums in full (Technique & Republic) with only 7 Joy Division songs as a shorter opening set. This is just the reverse of that. Don’t forget we have also done full world tours performing Movement, PC&L, Low-Life, Brotherhood and New Order Substance.
@@PeterHookAndTheLight I saw you in Sydney 2017ish and it was all Joy Division and the most notable NO song was Ceremony. I understand Joy Division nostalgia is what pays the bills. But man what I'd do to hear Vanishing Point, 60 Miles, or Crystal given the PHATL treatment
@@MColemanTV We switch it up on various tours. Australian promoters simply weren’t as interested in booking our Movement/PC&L or Technique/Republic tours unfortunately… that’s not our fault. We will be back in Australia in November on this tour and all those songs that you mentioned are possible for the opening NO sets. Hope to see you.
