I actually just got myself a trident (with the case) and I love it! The blade design isn't actually that bad in my opinion and it comes with lots of extras in the case. For the price it is amazing! It does ring allot though. You should definitely get this!

Just so you know g10 has to be broken in a little and oiling it can help a lot with the "chalky" feel you talked about
