I’ve heard that wrenches and tools get attached to the blade for the exact reason you mentioned as well, to get through customs. Just what I’ve heard on Reddit.
nabalis confirmed it on someone else’s review. I believe it was a review of the Wing
@@gadz00kiThey confirmed it on the Blade Bias Wing unboxing.
@@gadz00kican confirm it, received one myself. And Yes, true.
I think this has gone to the top of my list of balis to buy, purely because I want to increase my collection and as someone who is still a beginner and a student, this at the price seems like a no-brainer to give a go. Another great video gotta love a will flips upload!
Sold out I saw wing and I was sure they wouldn’t realise another on soo sooon so I slept on it
Completely perfect beater, cheap durable and at least in my opinion learning on a heavier knife can give you phenomenal flow when getting into lighter more nimble knives
When I saw their profile I thought it was an expensive titanium knife.. looks cool
those live blade vulps look sick 🫣
The yellow vulp looks sick
@@Wakio.the cheese one looks sick
I might actually consider buying one of these
Me checking every fricken frame for the Machinewise collab Bali 😂 “is it in that bush?”
Dang definitely one for my wish list. I love the look of the false live blade. Great vid as always Will! ❤🙏
I love the slippers
you have amazing fox slides
That is in fact how they come because of customs. Lol the crazy part is its the first SS bali ive ever seen. It sounds good also. They did fantastic for $50 lol. You know what I really love? Its 4.4 to 4.5oz! Perfection!
just got mine in the mail from Amazon today, no wrench just a foam cutout, labeled as "no edge tool" love it already! very nice for the money 👍🏻
So it comes with the same stuff as the Vulp?
Just got my Canyon yesterday (Trainer blade version), and I gotta say ... this thing is freaking awesome. I don't know how Nabalis did it, but they somehow managed to make an all Steel balisong feel lighter than it actually is. This thing is supposed to weigh 4.33oz, but it more feels like it's as light as the vulp imo. I think the big reason why that is has to do with the awesome ergonomics and reduced handle material. Most of my aluminum balisongs feel chunky in comparison to the canyon. The handle profile is skeletonized with speed channel and concave cutouts that provides some of the best grip I've ever felt on a metal balisong. I definitely think Nabalis took some design queues from Machinewise as the handles remind me of the skeletonized titanium construction from something like the SlifT. If anything, this balisong is emulating the feel of a titanium flipper. The Canyon can do rollovers, fans, and especially chaplins really well, making it a perfect beater/learning tool. Only time will tell if the tolerances and durability will hold up with the pinless design. But so far, this is incredibly solid out of the box and can make for the perfect gift for someone who is just getting into flipping. Heavily recommend folks try it out. The only downside I'm having is that my wrist will really feel the strain after a prolonged flipping session. But if anything, flipping this balisong will make going back to my aluminum trainers feel like feathers in comparison lol.
Balisong: I’m a little tool.
12:50 "it do a flip it jus do it kinda slowly" was really funny to me
It's really amazing that in my day a decade ago, the choices you had were a $50 bear and son that the handle pins failed in a week, and the next was a $250 BM51. Nothing in between besides a Bradley kimura.
Yup!!! I can confirm that the canyon does come with the “wrench” lol. I think it’s funny, but good for them on getting through customs. Also the Canyon kicks the Lucha stock up and down the football field.
My regular Vulp had one of those wrench things on it when it arrived direct from Nabalis.
Omggggg i have been waighting for review on that
Just ordered the acid washed black version. Crazy excited to get it flippin. Thanks for the review Will 🗡️
my Vulp came with one of those wrenches. It was also labelled "bottle opener" on the shipping label.
I’m loving my canyon. It’s very good as a beater and I’m surprised not a lot of people thought of using it as one. And yeah mine came straight from the nabalis site and it had the wrench 😂
aww man i was really hoping to be like top 3 of the first to make a video on the canyon. I literally bought one right when it released, but so far you, Denden, and Disuko have made stuff before me haha. Awesome video, can't wait to get mine so I can make my own video!
I hope you like it!
@@WillHirschFlips me too haha 😄
omg, I love the wrench idea :)
The wrench taped on is damn ingenious!!!! 😀🤣🤣🤣
Always love your use of emojis❤😂
Can’t wait for it to arrive. Thinking about getting both colors and doing a blade swap.
I bought this today! I bought the trainer black acid wash, cant wait for it! I’ll probably use it as a beater, since I think the marks on it won’t effect how it looks negatively much! First balisong with this aesthetic for me!
Same I bought mine acid wash black last night
This thing would probably make for a great and super durable beater, given its steel
all nabalis products get sent with the wrench top now, my vulp got stopped at customs and they had to resend it with the wrench top for it to pass same with the nabalis wing i bought and i copped the canyon yesterday
that looks amazing. zenith trainer review PLSSS
I'll have to get one!
Ok, zenith or this??
woah, this looks cool, might pick one up to stave off the wait for Squiddy WH restock (so that I'm not just getting the un-flippable spider knife in the time)
Nabalis's factory was located in Yangjiang, and china is well known for it's strict custom laws... When the product being scanned it will show up as a wrench! So it will be legal to be shipped to most of the countries in the world, genius idea!
But I still don't know why they doesn't sell their products in china...I mean the canyon even has it's chinese name called “山河"
Love the review mine’s on the way btw luv ur vids
When I bought the wing from their website it also showed up with the wrench taped onto the blade!
the shoes are so good my guy
I think I see a vulp pro live blade on the table…
Trainer vlade is 39.99 false live is 49.99
Will, use your devine influence... to get us sharp live blades. Lol just kidding, those shoes reminded me of ewoks. Haha
Hear me out!
When the wrench thing is between the handels the balisong cant close completely and border x Ray things see that this isnt a real balisong so theres no need for further checking if its an illegal item. (just a theory on why its there). My vulp also came with it.
I just got my canyon today. It did come with a wrench but it actually fit the trainer blade. I haven’t flipped it much yet but it’s really f’ing good for the price
i’m in australia and just ordered one, we have stupid customs laws so we’ll see how or if mine arrives 😩
I’m curious about what the extra pieces of horizontal metal on the trainer’s safe handle is? Pieces that were supposed to be clipped but snuck through inspection?
I think there's what they are, I didn't even notice!
My vulp came with that little wrench "tool".yesterday actually.
When I bought The Vulp, on the package it said "foldable wrench" and when I opened it and saw that there is an actual wrench taped to the blade it made me laugh pretty hard.
For how cheap it is that clack sounds amazing
nabalis blades do in fact come with the wrench thing taped on can confirm from when i ordered my hydra blade, and yes its to get through customs
Are we just gonna ignore the yellow inked live blade vulp pro on the table
I saw that too. Keeping my eye out for the Machinewise collab
@@TheBuffnessFlips there's gonna be a machinwise collab!!?
@@SkullFlipper15 end of the will hirsch collection video he talks about an upcoming collab and puts a Machinewise sticker on screen.
@TheBuffnessFlips dang I didn't even notice that sweet
If Nabalis hasn't told you yet, the wrench blade attachment is for customs since they don't usually allow knives like that according to country/state laws. Knives that could be hidden like OTF knives, Flip knives, and Balisong's.
Just got my canyon trainer I'm the mail, and it does indeed come with the wrench 🤣 which Canada's customs didn't really like, they kept it for like a week! 😅
I love the design of the live canyon. If only it flipped as good as the vulp pro.
you could make that a live blade and a live blade canyon would go crazy.
bro you think for super beginner canyon is good or should i spend more and get something better?
They manipulate it like that because in some parts of the country there are certain requirements for the supply of sharp objects and by manipulating them like a wrench they can manipulate the conditions of entry of goods in some countries. including in my country indonesia...maybe i think...
Hey Will would you consider making some v2 version of OG vulp blade, maybe some tanto or something for the better chaplins so they would sell them separately like they do on their website with no-bottleopener versions
Interesting idea!
@@WillHirschFlips or maybe some spare false live blades🤞
I love your slippers! Where'd ya get them?
Amazon!
Vulp Pro live blade video coming soon? 👀
I got me Natalie vulp like that with the wrench 2 months ago 😂😅
I simply MUST know where you got those fox paw slipper socks!
I've only ever bought Squid, but man, Nabalis really putting some great stuff on the market. Wonder if/how the US makers will respond
My Vulp pro trainer came like that with that littel wrench 😂
At 5:00 he let out the Karen giggle😯🤣💀
Hey Will I actually how my vulp pro with a wrench on it I was a bit confused but then it clicked in and Nabalis is based asf for that
Suggestion pls .. bbbarfly barracuda or nabalis canyon for a beginner?
I bought one but before that i talked with nabalis abt getting it throught customs and he told me that the wrench is the way they get it through customs 🙂👍
I had my nabalis lightning with that rench thing
the handle gaps on the bead blasted ones seems to be wider that the acid wash 7:29 🤔
if the wrench is to get through customs, does that mean you could buy it and have it shipped outside the usa? i really want a false blade but i never thought id be able to because "it can be sharpened"
You'd have to order through the Nabalis website but maybe!
Is the “false edge” Canyon on their website the live blade Canyon?
The false blade is 50$. the trainer is 40$
disappointed to find that it's already sold out. Looking forward to the next drop, though. I'm gonna get that acid wash on a false live blade!
For the price that looks insane if only i had this 3 years ago
The trainer blade looks like the tsunami trainer.
I got my vulp a few weeks ago and it came with one of those wrench wrench things but no lub or Lock tight
Oh no that's no good!! Maybe send Nabalis an email? Did it come in the case it was supposed to?
@@WillHirschFlips correct box yes
@@Commppass776 okay that's good at least
Yeah my canyon came with a velvet pouch, spare hardware, the t10 tool, a letter about the canyon, some stickers, and the standard gray and black box instead of the one in the video. I guess they changed it up. Maybe mine is different because I got mine off the nabalis site instead of Amazon?
besides the canyon im considering buying those slippers 😭
Wait do I see a live blade golden vulp pro????
I’m pretty sure most nabalis products use the same platform, so it’s probably a wing or marble blade
@@colekivisto2954will said a while back that nabalis was working on a live blade for it
Hey guys that "thing" isn't a live blade vulp pro right?
*right?*
Correct. It’s a false live blade vulp pro 😉
do you think this would be a good choose for a first live blade
It's not a live blade.
It can be sharpened to become a live blade but idk how well the edge on this thing will hold
Tbh yeah!
oh@@Zoinks3245
what's with the bars in the handle of the trainer??
I think it's a thing that was supposed to be removed but they missed?
My Vulp also had a wrench taped to it
its slower due to weight paired with bushings and wonky weight patterns (my experience)
Does anyone know when the Canyon will get restock?🤔
could you review the flytainum Zenith trainer bali, i was looking to get it soon and was wondering if i could get yours or other opinions on it b4 getting it
I personally have the zenith trainer and have been flipping it for about a month.
Some things to note:
- This Balisong is made in China, so hardware quality may vary.
- The Pivots use the inferior T8 screw hardware with one of the screws possibly stripped out of the box for me.
- The handles are made from a rigid 7075 Aluminum with speed channels and a nice, grippy wave pattern that gives substantial grip compared to the Vulp imo.
- The ends of the handles are slightly angled, which may hinder the execution of palm fan style tricks.
- This knife has a particularly neutral weight distribution, which makes it surprisingly easy to learn fans on despite it's blade shape.
- The zen nipple is particularly longer than most other offerings, which is prone to pinching. I myself have been pinched a couple of times.
- There is a noticeable ring on this knife due to the blade shape and speed channels. (I really like it but it may annoy some folks)
- No tap or play out of the box.
- You will need a bite handle indicator since the Zenith blade is a dagger style design with no distinct edge.
- The jimping is a little subtle, but substantial enough to provide sufficient grip for ladder tricks.
- Chaplins are pretty much on par with the Vulp, which is not that great unless you give a bigger circumference to perform those tricks.
- This thing was DRY out of the box. Lube immediately after unboxing.
- Boxy handles make the knife feel chonkier than it actually is. I believe this knife weighs 4.25oz, which is a nice sweet spot for having some weight without being overbearing on the wrist.
My overall thoughts are that the Zenith trainer is an absolute miracle to be made of 7075 aluminum for a $60 price. The Zenith blade is great looking imo. The flipping performance is on par with most of the other entry budget range balisongs like the Vulp, or most Amazon flippers. However, I will say that this knife has some of the best overall grip compared to the other offerings due to its pattern and speed channels. I was able to learn some tricks like the Short Stop on this thing, as well as some beginner fan combos. I particularly baby my balisongs, so I cannot speak for long term durability. What I do know is that the bushings system is pretty solid so I didn't have to adjust any screws just yet. The only semi-dealbreaker would probably be those T8 screws that they use. It makes it particularly difficult to disassemble since you can easily strip the screws with the wrong screwdriver tension. Another con is that the zen nipple juts out pretty far compared to other balisongs. I have been pinched a couple of times. But aside form that, the milling is very soft and overall comfortable. Overall, an incredibly solid offering that can be used as a beater thanks to its material. I'd say you've got nothing to lose if you decide to pick up this trainer due to its cheap price, and nice warranty.
when i saw the canyon was stainless steel i was worried that itd be super sluggish and heavy feeling like the lucha, but so far both you and denden have said that this is actually like a good flipper (not the best, but good). ive flipped some terrible heavy stainless steel knives before and the thought of a good, cheap stainless steel bali (that also has a live blade?? false ik but still) is really cool even tho i probably wont buy one since i tend to prefer lighter knives
also i see those vulp pro lives yaint slick mr will hirsch dot gay
🤭
$50 is actually pretty nice.
I just bought a vulp and it came with the wrench, so i think there doing it with everything
Good to know I guess!
The wrench comes on there with all false edge products, this is to ALEDGEDLY POSSIBLY get thru customs
The wrenches are to get through customs etc
Fire footwear
Mine came with the wrench, though the design seemed to fit the canyon instead of the vulp. I'm from the Americas don't know if that changes anything
How long did it take for it to arrive for you mine took about 3-4 days
@@Grim9_9_9 Mine took less than a week
@@cheesycakeous okay thanks
@@cheesycakeous did you buy it from the nibalis website?
Did you buy it from the Nabalis website?
well there goes my nabalis entry... almost 1:1 with the same material and everything lmfao 😭😭
fr tho glad they did it
Is it really your design, the canyon?
@@Ambatufakingnat Oh nah they didn't copy my design obviously, I didn't even submit it; I just was PLANNING on doing the idea of all steel for durability and similar grip stuff; but no it's definitely not my design haha
missed the drop damn it
There was a wrench on my vulp too
damn free shipping im deffinetley buying soon
Im in canada and my vulp came with the wrench attachment aswell
Why is the fe handle gap wider compared to the trainer blade
Dude im so happy it was on sale (originally it was 69 CAD)

Holy wow this dude can ramble endlessly. Should have been a politician.
Nah he passianet and have alot to say because how coop it is
my hydra blade came like that lol
Reverse grip tricks are some of the coolest. Reverse grip cutting, however, is not the best lol
my vulp pro came with that same tool attached.
