That's hot
This is one of the biggest video edits I've EVER done for this channel, probably right next to my huge collection video! It was very challenging, but a blast to work on, and I hope you all enjoy it, and my little dashes of chaos I threw in for good measure 😘
Huge W Brandon my man

Thanks for all you do Brandon:)
Nothing I love more than taking a peek behind the curtain and to have the Machinewise process shown off like this is something special, especially with my recent SlifT purchase.
Great work to everyone involved! The Machinewise team for their amazing work and Brandon and Will for making this video!
YES MY FAVORITE MAKER!!!
WE NEED A BBBARFLY TOUR! Especially with the new announcements they are gonna be a massive player in the community. Make it happen guys!
Yall did great!!! Totally not watching this as I sharpen the slifts 🗿
Man.. this just goes to show that you can start any business you want. Save enough money, buy a few of the machines u need and start growing your business. This man is a perfect example of how ALOT of big businesses start out. Ill be buying one of these soon to go with my nabalis vulp and bbbarfly firefly
I have an Opus and a Prysma and I can't tell you how amazing the build of each knife is. Love the work you guys do and will be looking into getting a SlifT here soon!
Nah 7.5 million lines of code has singlehandedly sent me into an absolute existential spiral as a CS student. I was expecting to learn a lot from this video but I was not expecting THAT. Someone had to write all that. A real person and team had to sit down and type those 7 million lines, real people and keyboards and computers and 7 mil-
SO that code is auto generated by our softwware. Theres still a ton of work involved in making the software spit out the lines of code but it was not done by hand :)
we tell the software how to move the machine and cut the material then it spits all those instructions into code the machine can read, aka the 7.5m lines
@@machinewise4135 Okay okay okay, that makes me feel a little better lol, still would be rough to make the program but at least it's auto generated once you do.
@@camaroEEI'd assume a good portion of those lines are dedicated to what looks like 89 trillion curved tool paths for the lovely smooth bevel :)
i wasn’t expecting this vidoe to be so long, was pleasantly surprised! great work will and brandon this was super interesting and fun to watch
and ofc great job to the machinewise crew for their awesome production process
18:36 awesome having him trying to message Brandon to ask about the clone filming him
That's hot!
You're hot
I've recently had the chance to try both a Maryn and a Prysma V2 and I have to say I was blown away even after all of the good things I've heard about them.
Absolutely Wicked Sic tour!!!!😀😀😀😀
Been waiting for this one, Deylan's work is incredible and I've been dying to get a look at how it's made.
Absolutely stellar video showcasing an absolutely stellar maker. Deylan and his crew make the best production knives in the game and its great to have such a well put together insight into the process of how each of these knives are made. Many people really have no idea how much insane work and cost and time goes into making these beauties and why they cost what they do.
Worth every cent
ya know. I was sitting with a Serif in the cart - then this video came out - I applied the discount, and that sealed the deal!
Really interesting to see the different approach to production compared to Squid. I can’t wait for the day I have enough funds to buy some of their products
And this is why after discovering Machinewise, I've bought nearly everything he makes (in the last 2 months). A Prysma, 2 serifs, an Opus, and now 2 SlifT's. His level of engineering and quality is insane! Great job Deylan, keep it up!
what would you recommend the most? just based off your personal favorite?
im a beginner been learning for a month, this community is huge W
i got a beat up serif from bladeshow and the tune is still better than anything else in my collection. Their tolerances are no joke!
Absolutely loved this video. Serif was the first grail I owned. Ended up having to sell it. Was sad, and bought another recently. Thanks for all the great hardwork!
This is the best background information for a product i have ever seen and i love how much attention to detail there is with the machining and production and i am so happy to buy a prysma pro which is on the way right now!
Love that little Deylen noise at the end 😂😂
My favorite maker and modder ❤-Rowan
This As A Job Is So Repetitive But Relaxing At The Same Time!!
So awesome to see this I love machinewise🔥💯
Its seriously insane how a smaller channel like yours can have such high quality audio, video, and editing keep up the work
Ps-I woud love if you made a video with edlon talley or stich
Longer vids are the best, more content for the hobby
I would love if “How It’s Made” would feature Machinewise for an episode!
Love this video ❤
Makes me appreciate my MachineWise balisongs even more now seeing how much effort went into creating them
23:00 mark my jaw literally DROPPED thru the floor all the way to fricken China… holy SMOKES that’s a lot of code!!!!
one of the best makers ever
Love it!!
I am studying machine and production tech to become a machinist. It was great seeing you hell out about the machinery.
yassssssss! I've been waiting for this video!
You literally posted this the minute I bought my serif
LOVE these videos man, super tight
I love these longer videos! keep it up!
I own ZERO Balis. and know just as many tricks. (flips) ....? However, your awesome content keeps me coming back. Thanks Will and Friends!!
Squid needs to watch this so they can help there variances out snd start getting there machining tolerances better lol. Have the best machines in the game and still can't put out consistently good and equal products. Absolutely blows my mind and others lol.
Personally I recently got a Prysma v1 and I LOVE IT. Although I have a FEW problems, A I have to tune/tighten the screws kind of often(every/every other day) and also like my vulp & morse the pins are coming out. Still overall GREAT knife 100% would recommend
Machinewise the goat, let’s go
I've rewatched this multiple times now and I can't get enough of it. Watching the process of making these knives is so cool. Is it too much to ask for you to do this with EVERY balisong maker? 😂
YESSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
I personally have way more appreciation and understanding of the price from machine wise. Amazing job and fire video as always 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I did not expect the mario. Well played good sir.
This video defenitily made me appreciate the craftsmenship of balisong makers a lot more dope video will
I bought a slifT v2 the minute this video released, very exited
amazing video
Well that’s frickin cool
Good video ❤
Ya'll vibe so well together xD
I gotta say will's just social skills kiiiiiind of impresses me
It’s finally hereeeeeeee
Awesome video as always❤
Could you do a review of the NRB SLight?
Would love to see what you have to say about it.
Deylan is an artist. Machinewise is amazing.
This was super cool seeing how these are made! I’ve worked with machinery before but nothing like this, very cool💪🏼
Thanks for touring the place for us!
I need to get a machinewise product for myself now 😅
On a side note, would you consider doing another review on the konig? NRB made a V2 that fixes a lot of problems it used to have
It’s not currently in stock as we speak but I’ve heard NRB comes in stock every couple of months or so
I trust your guys opinion above most else and would love to see a video on it 💛
Ty for the funny part editor ily 🤟
THANK YOU WILLIAM, DEYLAN, AND BRANDON
The hole in roof for cable awesome
Yoooo the one company using good washers, I’ve been Tryna find stainless washers the same thickness as my brass ones so I can replace them and not get tap in a day, it’s amazing to see a manufacturer actually using their brains and giving us quality hardware
Hell yea🎉😊
50 MINUTES LONG LETS GOOO
Hi I love the videos my favorite part is the Brandon clones so I was wondering if you would do a video explaining them
YES! BEEN SO EXCITED FOR THIS VIDEO SINCE Y'ALL STARTED TEASING IT ❤
I’ve got a question, not really related to the video. But I was wondering if you will do a review on any of the mantis blade works Balisong’s soon or in the future? Keep up the awesome videos though, love the content.
Wow it's crazy to know that your consumables are like the cost of a whole aluminum knife. Machining on heat treated steel is no joke
Will’s twin.
Very cool info. But I do have a question. Why harden before cutting? if you harden afterwards then you can run the tools faster and they last longer. Just curious as I have made a blade or two and normally don't harden until the end. Yes I have to clean them up afterwards but it still makes them easier to grind. And yes I use stock removal too only use a belt grinder.
Accuracy and surface finish. Things warp in heat treat and turn grey
Slayed
Will there ever be a live blade version on the Vulp?
@machinewise If I order a “dull” Opus blade for my blade on Serif of maybe full channel Slift handles, can you sharpen the blade at a later time? Also, which handles do you think for the opus blades… Serif or full channel SlifT V2 handles?
i have a question i have an addax atm and was going to get a artic but don’t mind spending the extra money for a antarctic is it worth the extra money?
I wish I can make those one day
Will, tell me what hip bag you are using. i am the jealous. thanx!
you should check out the shein butterfly knife
Damn, you offer a machinewise discount code in a video 30 minutes after I buy a serif on the drop😂
New this was coming eventually!!!
I will now forever keep in mind, that somebody out there owns a balisong that has been licked by Deylan and Will
25:02
Do a convex edge
well hello Brandon And will I recently been away from the balisong community for personal reasons my friend almost sliced his finger open with my krake raken v2.5 with orange handles (because of will Hirsch ofc) but now im fully back in because my dad gifted me a ton of balisongs for my birthday now i have 1 mako 2 squidtraners 3 krake rakens and 1 of their brand new squiddys and now i will im going to rewatch all the videos and im going to be coming back to will flips :)
Is that debuting machine an Ultramatic by chance?
Why did i suddenly hear the camaroee theme ?
unrelated but, can someone help me I lost my zen pin on my nabalis vulp balisong and I don't know where and how to replace it. If anyone can, please help me
what iem's are you wearing?
"dont sleep on those they are really good" - deylen machinewise
I'm trying to use the code but it isn't automatically applying
Fantastic video and insight! Sorry I'm late but I do have one question that wasn't covered: what's the smell? Not sure if anyone else noticed but everything I've gotten direct from MW has like a very specific incense-like smell - not that I'm complaining in anyway I'm just curious. Also I believe NRB also has a pretty distinct smell when getting direct. Maybe I'm just crazy but I swear if you blind-folded me and let me open direct-from-factory balis, I can guarantee you I can pick out which one is MW from the smell alone lol
Machinewise uses NRB thicc juice for their oil, so that's probably what you're smelling!
@@thebrandonbakerclone oOooOoOoHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i had never had NRB thicc before, that's gotta be it! thank ya!
What Bali is Deylan carrying in that chest pocket???
International shipping is not an option, is it?
The balisong market honestly isnt bad with price=build quality/service/material.
Now the knife market in general used to be a problem like *ahem microtech*. But with more people doing startups on top of the huge advances in having utilities/tools/machines like smaller bench size CNC machines, 3d printers. Competition has really pushed prices down to where they should be.
I love my Prysma 😭
How much is the discount on Machinewise products and how long does it work for?
7%! I believe it's one use per email used. Should stick around as long as Machinewise wants it to!
lets goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Hey guess what I am getting your guys Balisong for my birthday
That's hot
Based
Machinewise please tell me you usually wear dust masks when sharpening, I work in a similar environment and would hate for you to damage yourself.
Will the discount code for squid be back? Or is it gone for good?
Should be back soon!
@@WillHirsch 🎉 thanks!
