I do not know if they talk about it. But my personal biggest hope for the music app is special albums. Stuff like the Mario and Zelda Big Band Live, the Zelda orchestra concerts, the special album that came with first printings of Skyward Sword, the Melee Smash Live album, the Mother 1 album. I want all of these on this app. Considering how publishing and licensing works I do not expect most or any of these. But it would be amazing to have old obscure albums easily available in high quality. It would be ESPECIALLY amazing to get some of the really old Mario albums that only released in Japan... Again, realize it's very big hopes. But I have to dream. P.S. I also want the arranged versions that some old soundtracks had. Star Fox comes to mind. Those few arranged tracks were bangers.
Yes please. F-Zero X Guitar Arrange please. And I wonder if we could even get more recent things that have questionable ownership, like Super Nintendo World and Kirby Cafe's original arrangements.
I reckon Xenoblade X is a bit of a trial run for their new version of the engine with a lot of procedurally generated textures and environmental detail, in the video they showed to me it looks like it's constantly up-resing textures etc on the fly. Some odd ghosting etc as well 🤔 like there's a mask running over the original trailer or something. Could be way off, but I'm curious to see what it looks like next time they show it
Friendly correction Daniel talked about how Astro bot not taking half a decade when discussing Concord, when actually it did take close to that, the last game came out in 2020 the new title in 2024, and Sony weren't involved with Concord until 2021, they weren't involved for most of its long development.
I have mixed thoughts when it comes to unlocks in multiplayer games. I think for fighting games I like the idea of unlocking characters or even alternate costumes as I play, but a party game should have everything available moment 1. Imagine turning on a Jackbox party pack and being told you need to play wordspud for at least 2 hours for you to be able to play fibbage (there would be chaos!).
Fun episode! I don't understand why people want to have everything unlocked in fighting or party games on day ONE, aren't there enough characters or boards to play with in the base game?
the time limit in Majora's Mask is really only stressful if you are trying to minmax every cycle. if you limit how many things you do per cycle, there's more than enough time that it's never really stressful
I am curious about how Nintendo will handle the soundtracks of Super Smash Bros. when those games get added to the app. Will only remixed and original tracks from Nintendo franchises be added? Or could third party music be added if it’s specifically a Smash remix?
Don't know why you're so sure 3rd parties would never be on board. There's plenty of 3rd party NSO games. Plus when it comes to Brawl-Ultimate, they could easily put up all of the music that they can and just leave out what they can't. We've already seen with Side Order that they are willing to put up an incomplete soundtrack for reasons.
Hey someone else who hates the combat in CoM! Game has a good story and is very important to the overall series plot but man do I hate card-based combat systems because of that game
31:18 I get feeling emphathy for laid off devs but the Concord thing is far from a sad ending, it was a no brainer ending. Like, what did they honestly expect? At some point you gotta wonder why the devs even stuck with that project for more than a year, it wasn't just dead on arrival, it was destined to fail. And then you got the people on the dev team blaming gamers, calling them names and expect emphathy for them? Eh... No
Daniel leaning over to fit the rectangle at 5:20 killed me

Where’s the rest of the GVG crew??? They haven’t been on the podcast in over a month

I loved the demo for Pikmin 3 and 4.
It isn't available in my country, like the nso app, they accept my subscription money tho
honestly, i think multiplayer unlocks should still bw there, but there should be an option in say options, that just unlocks everything for you

I pray we get High Quality ost from Elite Beat Agents.
If we do, I will ascend to the heavens.
Super Banjo is a life saver was not enjoying it much before then.
No way. I hate it when it is still dark at 8:00am. I will take darkness at 5:00pm if it means more light in the morning.

CoM?
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
I thought most people did.
It is the most unique combat system i have played, I absolutely find it frustrating and can see where someone would hate it

Sorry man, not happy about people working for 8 years for a DOA product then being out of a job
@symphomaniac don't have to be happy about it
Three five eight over 2 days.
Nintendo music is not great. Drip feeding albums is ridiculous
One a week is hilarious
Uhhhh FIRST???
I see Daniel and immediately close the video.
Here’s that attention you wanted
