It's supposed to do that connected to the brakes. So you can see if someone's trying to pass you. Not required on the straights flat out

With Full Gas you don`t need the rear view :-)

A) The Vibrations in the cabin are jiggling around some wires at certain frequencies
or
B) The battery harvesting and deployment is messing with things since it's a digital mirror
