  • Dane is BACK with a recipe for THE cake of the autumn months.. The Boston Cream Pie cake!! Two layers of delicious, lighter than air vanilla sponge, sandwiched with super silky custard and finished with a thick layer of chocolate ganache. This recipe is so easy to follow & will impress everyone!

    SPONGE
    200g Self Raising Flour
    Pinch Sea Salt
    60g Buttermilk
    1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
    3 Large Eggs
    140g Unsalted Butter, Softened
    60g Vegetable Oil
    175g Caster Sugar
    GANACHE TOPPING
    90g 50% Chocolate
    45g Double Cream
    45g Butter
    PASTRY CREAM
    450ml Whole Milk
    1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
    90g Caster Sugar
    26g Cornflour
    1 Large Eggs + 3 Large Egg Yolks
