    Do they make a stair attachment for this machine? Like a handle?

    • @Metalhead0426
      @Metalhead0426  Год назад +1

      Yes. They make a short wand that makes cleaning stairs a little easier.

      I like this newer model way better than the last. Bigger tank, built in circuit locator, different pump, and its more quiet

    How long are them electrical cords? Can you use longer ones? Separate grounds are necessary correct? 2:50

    • @Metalhead0426
      @Metalhead0426  5 месяцев назад

      They are 50ft 12 gauge. You can use longer cords but over 50ft you need a heavier duty cord to carry the amperage. Yes you need 2 separate grounds and circuits. One plug on the machine pulls around 15 amps and the other around 19.5 amps. Usually commercial building like these are set up with 20 amp circuits.

    How can we test the suction of the extractor? This is our first one and it just doesn’t seem very strong.

    • @Metalhead0426
      @Metalhead0426  Год назад

      They make a gauge to test vacuum. I usually test mine with my hand because I know what its suppose to feel like. What kind of extractor do you have and how old is it?

    • @jamescassata3379
      @jamescassata3379 Год назад

      @@Metalhead0426 we have the Prospector PE5003. It’s new and was just using for the first time. I think it is working good. We were testing from the wand but when we tested from the hose, there was very good suction.
      On another note, is Matrix grand slam a good pre-conditioner? My rep from Jon Don suggested it. Also, do you have to use a rinse when extracting or can you use plain water?

    • @Metalhead0426
      @Metalhead0426  Год назад

      @James Cassata sometimes you can get into residue in the carpet that will slow suction. Keep some defoamer on hand just in case.
      We just use plain water in the machine. You can use a rinse if you prefer. You may need to flush the pump afterwards so the pump doesn't get damaged.
      I'm not familiar with grand slam but I know Matrix makes good products.
      I prefer powered presprays in a hydro force sprayer for 2 reasons.
      You get more out of one 8lb jar vs a gal of liquid. Also you can apply it faster with hydro force and it give plenty of dwell time before Extracting.

      @@Metalhead0426 thanks! One last question. What are the two vacuums on the extractor for? Do you use both at the same time or one at a time?

    • @Metalhead0426
      @Metalhead0426  Год назад

      @James Cassata you must use both at the same time while cleaning. When you go to suck the water out of the tank for loading, you can use one vac motor so it doesn't violently shake the hose.

    I cleaned the carpet in my home as a trial run. I used Matrix pre-conditioner, powr-flite multiwash, then extracted with plain water. After the carpet dried I noticed it’s a bit hard. Is this due to not extracting and rinsing enough? If so, can I just repeat extraction with water to rinse better? How can this be avoided?

    • @Metalhead0426
      @Metalhead0426  Год назад +1

      Sounds like some cleaner is left in the carpet. Yes I would try to clean again with just water. When I'm not using a rinse I try to only use cleaners with a 10ph or below.
