Whether you're looking for a new carpet cleaner or just want to see how the New Prospector PE 5003 in action, this video is for you!
Do they make a stair attachment for this machine? Like a handle?
Yes. They make a short wand that makes cleaning stairs a little easier.
How you heard anything about the moonson carpet extractor by Rotor vac?
Ive seen them before in facebook groups but I dont know anything about them.
Are you having any problems with your prospect 500. Any issues yet
Zero issues
What do you think about the prospect 500 so far?
I like this newer model way better than the last. Bigger tank, built in circuit locator, different pump, and its more quiet
Is Prospector brand better than the Sandia Sniper 500?
@@pedroandrade2103 I think they are the same machine with different branding
How long are them electrical cords? Can you use longer ones? Separate grounds are necessary correct? 2:50
They are 50ft 12 gauge. You can use longer cords but over 50ft you need a heavier duty cord to carry the amperage. Yes you need 2 separate grounds and circuits. One plug on the machine pulls around 15 amps and the other around 19.5 amps. Usually commercial building like these are set up with 20 amp circuits.
Can you do a tutorial on how to hook it all up and what is needed for it?
Yes I will do more videos on it.
How many feet of hose you are running on it on this video ?
50ft of everything
I am been thinking about buying 500 psi machine.. Have you had any major issues yet .Do you recommend I using prospect 500 cleaning houses?
No issues. I only use this machine for commercial work. Hotels, church pews etc. You can use this machine for residential but I don't recommend it.
@@Metalhead0426why?
@@pedroandrade2103 It can be harder to set up in residential.
Not sure I think the Prospect500 is a good
How can we test the suction of the extractor? This is our first one and it just doesn’t seem very strong.
They make a gauge to test vacuum. I usually test mine with my hand because I know what its suppose to feel like. What kind of extractor do you have and how old is it?
@@Metalhead0426 we have the Prospector PE5003. It’s new and was just using for the first time. I think it is working good. We were testing from the wand but when we tested from the hose, there was very good suction.
On another note, is Matrix grand slam a good pre-conditioner? My rep from Jon Don suggested it. Also, do you have to use a rinse when extracting or can you use plain water?
@James Cassata sometimes you can get into residue in the carpet that will slow suction. Keep some defoamer on hand just in case.
We just use plain water in the machine. You can use a rinse if you prefer. You may need to flush the pump afterwards so the pump doesn't get damaged.
I'm not familiar with grand slam but I know Matrix makes good products.
I prefer powered presprays in a hydro force sprayer for 2 reasons.
You get more out of one 8lb jar vs a gal of liquid. Also you can apply it faster with hydro force and it give plenty of dwell time before Extracting.
@@Metalhead0426 thanks! One last question. What are the two vacuums on the extractor for? Do you use both at the same time or one at a time?
@James Cassata you must use both at the same time while cleaning. When you go to suck the water out of the tank for loading, you can use one vac motor so it doesn't violently shake the hose.
How long of a vac hose can you run on it?
I run 50ft of 1.5in. Thats the max I would run on this machine.
The liquid is not coming from the wand
Is that portable worth it
For me yes. It does a good job. I use it on commercial only so I can run 2 machines at the same time.
@@Metalhead0426 why wouldn’t you use it for residential?
@Naomi if I had to I would. I'd rather not because the truckmount is so much easier.
2:50
are you able to max out the vaccums with the 1.5" hose? just wondering if a 2" hose would make a difference in performance?
In my opinion there would be very little benefit. The 1.5 in hose is much easier to deal with vs 2in.
Where did you buy this machine, and the attachments did you buy separate.
I got pretty much every thing from JonDon.
How many feet of hoses can you use before you lose vacuum?
I dont run any more than 50ft
I cleaned the carpet in my home as a trial run. I used Matrix pre-conditioner, powr-flite multiwash, then extracted with plain water. After the carpet dried I noticed it’s a bit hard. Is this due to not extracting and rinsing enough? If so, can I just repeat extraction with water to rinse better? How can this be avoided?
Sounds like some cleaner is left in the carpet. Yes I would try to clean again with just water. When I'm not using a rinse I try to only use cleaners with a 10ph or below.
Wich products are u using ? 👏🏻
On this job Im using Raptor C from Clean pro supply. Thats pretty much all I use on commercial grade carpet.
