So does this charger still work? Surely when you fitted the bearing and put pressure on the clutch it would've damaged it and changed the way it now operates 😭👎
Not to answer for the guy, but it works just the same as an AC compressor clutch. Its an electromagnet that attracts the friction disk of the clutch which is attached to the twin screws in the compressor housing. As long as it isn't so bent out of shape that the electromagnetic force can not attract it, it should work. I bent the hell out of mine, being a dumbass...so I will tell you if mine still works after everything that I put it through. Honestly I have my doubts, but if not, then I'll get a new, smaller pulley.
