I’d say your routine is minimal, and I like that you have adjusted it to your needs as you age. That’s a good thing. My mom still uses the same care routine she always has, and my sister still nags me because it would require a holiday to get me to put on makeup! I have greasy skin, and plain soap and water is necessary to get down to my skin. Occasionally, I can be bothered to use lipstick, but not too often. You should definitely have your daughter go over her skin care routine, just so we can all see the difference! Thank you for the wonderful video!
I don’t think you’re changing your mom (or you!) at this point Heather but whatever you’re doing, it’s obviously working! You know your own skin best. Victoria is for these double cleanse, one serum one night, something else another night, don’t mix this with that etc etc. She’s totally lost me 😂
I love your simple routine and have a similar one. I like to keep it simple as well, and find consistency over many decades has rewarded me with pretty decent skin. Wearing hats and SPF in the sun is key! 👩🏻🌾
Great video, very interesting. What your doing is definitely working for you! I have thin skin that breaks if I scratch too hard so I can't use rough exfoliants either!
The dreaded thin hair! I used to wash mine more because it seemed fuller after washing but I was just making it drier. I wash it a lot less now, maybe every 3rd day. I hate the “thickening” shampoos because you can’t even brush it after and some of the “volumizing” ones just make it frizzy! I love my Dyson Air Wrap (sorry, it’s brutally expensive 🫣) it’s fantastic for our hair type and so easy to use. Other best thing is Batiste dry shampoo for between days (don’t bother with the others and this one is same price) it really makes it look like you’ve got more hair and allows you to not over wash. ❤️😘
Great information! I like that your routine is fairly simple. I use Neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer - it doesn't pill - and its worked well for me under makeup. I will try some of the products you recommend. Thank you for another helpful video! :)
Dear Nancy! You know me, I always come out of the woodwork for your beauty routines, even though I do love all of your videos!! I was especially touched by your video about Alzheimer’s and your mother. Thank you so much for sharing your beauty secrets and loved products, as well as your honest and easygoing, matter of fact style! You look so lovely yet natural, and I appreciate your openness about injectables. Personally I have been hesitant about fillers (also have volume loss in the temples 🤷🏻♀️) but feel like fillers age poorly - what do you think? I may just see too many overdone cases. If you’re interested, there may be a product you’d like to try: Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil. It is one of the most beloved products in Japan (and by extension, Asia). It is for double cleansing, but oil is used as the first cleanse. It is so gentle, and my face feels MORE moisturized than if I only use a regular single foaming cleanser. I don’t even have to use night cream on the days I use this! It takes makeup off beautifully even though you don’t wear much (and don’t need to! ❤)
Hi Jackie, so wonderful to “see” you and many thanks for your kind words. I agree about the fillers, just look at Madonna right now! Downright scary!!😱 I’m going to ask my eyelash person if that Fancl is ok with the extensions because I’d love to try it! Appreciate the recommendation! Keep well and all the very best to you ❤😍
Hi Annie, wonderful to “see” you again! I definitely use an eye cream. I prefer the gel formulas as some of the thicker cream ones can cause some puffiness. I also recommend that you try a sheet mask or a cream mask once a week. Put it on and relax for 20-30 minutes! No harsh scrubs in that area.❤️
You have such beautiful skin! Will have to check out those sponges, those look great! Definitely agree that less seems to be more in skin care as ive gotten older. Just a good cream facewash, bha chemical exfoliant, a retinol serum and some moisturizer seems to be all i need. Some vit c serum and sunscreen during the day.
Yes! I’ve been using it for around 6 months and I’ve noticed an improvement in my skins texture and I break out less frequently. I use the setting on the mask that gives both red and blue light therapy - 3 minutes a day is all it takes! 😊
@@straightedgeveganbel2453 it doesn’t bother them but it is really bright. Sometimes I find it hard to see while I have it on if the room I’m in isn’t brightly lit. When I take it off, everything looks slightly green to me for a couple of minutes until they adjust back. It would probably bug me if I had to leave the mask on for a longer period of time.
Thank you for the video. At 48 years young I am still learning! One thing that I am always wondering about is: after a morning workout, sometimes I am still sweating after a shower and have to hustle to work. Do you put on products right away anyway, even though you’re still sweating?
Hi Margaret, I love that you’re 48 years young, you go girl!! Once you’ve washed your face after working out, you may still be hot but not likely still perspiring. Maybe a cool rinse to close your pores and then onto your routine! You can’t wait all day! 😘
I am absolutely addicted to your videos! I just found you and enjoy all of your tips and tricks! BTW, just curious but approximately how many calories do you burn every day? I assume it has to be 500+ since you probably walk an average of 10k steps a day. 🤔
Hi there! Yes, I generally burn at least 500-600 (I do Orangetheory 5 days a week) and I usually get 12-15k steps. 10k is my minimum. I’m so happy you found me, thank you for your kind comments!❤️
I have struggled with what the doctors said Roceasa since I was 18. Never had acne as a kid. It is awful. I tried elimination diet, no tomatoes, nightshade veg, no dairy, no eggs. Less meat, clean eating, low carb lol. Accutane, other pills from Dieticians. Literally days ago. I remembered I stayed in Banff, Ab. I am from Ab. For only 3 days on New Years Eve. Well they have the cleanest water ever. Mountains, springs. My Roceasa was gone in 3 days! I left came back. Until now! I just remembered that, I started to boil my water put into a container, only wash my face with it. Literally it is getting less inflamed everyday. I had become sensitive to perfume, melon extract and allergic to aloe Vera, over the years. But I was also exposed to black mold in a house we lived in not knowing. I use no fragrance products now. You still have to moisturize skin. I can see a difference. Love your channel, and because of you and Will, I am more cautious of what I put in my body.😊
Hi Margaret, thank you so much for your comment. I love that you never gave up and kept trying to find the right combination to alleviate your condition. You must be super sensitive! Wonderful news that things are improving now! All the very best to you ❤
Lol, we’re all trying to figure it out and what works best for our particular skin. I go to a dermatologist and ask questions, same with the medical esthetician also reading articles, trying things at Sephora etc. I can really notice the difference when I find something that works! Good luck 😘❤️
Hi Alaina, really the only negative I’ve had is that occasionally I can get bruising at the injection site..these can last for a couple of weeks and I have to camouflage them. My skin is particularly thin so it may not be an issue for you. Otherwise, all good and it makes a huge difference. Thx for watching!❤
@@MamaTenny That's good to hear. I haven't started yet but I have been thinking about it. You definitely have good results. Your skin looks good. Another great video. I wish more people on youtube were as honest as you!
Love your down to earth attitude about skin care. I’m 49 and am a bit confused as to how much I need to be using 😄
It can get crazy Katja!! I think I keep mine pretty simple, enough, without going crazy!🤪
@@MamaTenny word! I like it 💪🙌🤗
no matter the topic I never waste my time, when I'm on this channel. Nancy makes a great company!

@victoriatennyson ok, I have a red-light box, and even with goggles on it does that, it worries me that I might be damaging my eyes.
