I recently bought a GE Side by Side and I like it so much better than my old Samsung French Door refrigerator. Nothing worse than digging through a deep freezer drawer trying to find what you need. A full size frozen pizza box fits perfectly in my freezer, but I got a full size (not a counter depth).
I like the side-by-side design for two major reasons. 1. It keeps the ice maker in the freezer so it lasts longer. 2. It's easier to organize and access items in the freezer. For me, I have a deep freezer in the garage for storing more frozen goods, but I like the convenience of the side-by-side in the kitchen. With a French-door freezer, it is a pain to play Tetris every time I want to get something out of it. With the side-by-side freezer, it's easy to see everything in it at a glance so nothing gets buried.
I like how your reviews of refs/freezers are very detailed coupled with your personal experiences really matters. I'm in the market for a ref/freezer, but I prefer the French door design specifically Thermador and Sub Zero. Still undecided though that's why I'm searching the net for reviews of these 2 brands. Hope you can upload a comparison between these 2 French doors in the near future. Thank you so much for sharing.
I just got delivered a samsung one because whirlpool wasn't providing service in my city... Didn't go with lg because had bad luck with their compressors last time so only option left was Samsung 🙂🙂

very nervous about Lg Refrigerators, don't think I could pull the trigger on one. I like side by side better
