    What's your favorite appliance feature that you couldn't live without? Let us know in a comment below!

      Beko dishwashers have a feature called Ion guard, which basically is fans that activate every little while and completely filter the air inside the dishwasher.
      This completely gets rid if humidity and smells. You can store clean or dirty dishes in there for weeks and it wouldn't have a smell
      What's a shame is that in my region they sell the dishwasher with either half load or ion guard, between them I rather go with ion guard but being able to do a half load would be very convenient as I live alone

    A feature i have in my oven that i absolutely love is a setting for dough to rise which is 30-60 degrees (Celsius) that i can choose …works so good for people who bake a lot plus i also use it for homemade yoghurt

      That sounds like a super awesome feature, I've never heard of that myself! As a baker myself that sounds amazing!

      I have a bread proof option on my oven, the biggest downside is that the bread deflates too much from the time when you pull it from the oven to when you can stick it back in when the oven is up to baking temp. I usually end up using the warming drawer (where the pans live) to proof my doughs.

    Great information!!!! If adding a griddle to the middle section do you have to have the griddle elongated burner or can you use the regular 5th burner?

    Super useful video. I had all these features, as I found them important, but most people told me I am a geek. Now I have more confidence it was money well spent.
    I would add one more for the washing machine: weight measurment. It tells how loaded up it is. I used to measure the kg on small scale, but this is much faster.

    I like the pop open feature on the dishwashers to aid in drying, bit is this a bad idea if you have wood countertops? I'm worried the steam would warp them.

    can you make a video about scent boosters? products that make your laundry smell nice (like essential oil + wool balls)?

    • @BoulevardHome
      @BoulevardHome  Год назад +3

      We'll add it to our list, thanks for the suggestion! We've done something similar to that in our video about fabric softeners, but not specifically scent boosters. I'd imagine a lot of the same things could be applied to scent boosters though. You can check that out here if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/8Y3RpTEfH0M/видео.htmlsi=kM59_Wk2oVMfC1oo

      I have seen that video. From what I heard scent boosters dont have much fabric softening and have much more fragrance, so there probably is a difference. Would love to hear more about other products (scent boosters, wool balls, stain removers, etc)@@BoulevardHome

    As a chef for almost 2 decades. I strongly recommend convection ovens. They'll cook your food more evenly and maintain temperature more accurately

    I wish microwaves let you set a default power level. I would set my default to 50-60% and adjust my reheating times. If i needed or wanted to heat something fast then I could manually change the power level to 100%. Didn't know about the Humidity sensor that is cool! Inverter microwaves are awesome too! I can run mine on the same 15A outlet with my induction cooktop and not trip the breaker.

    • @BoulevardHome
      @BoulevardHome  Год назад +2

      That would be pretty cool if you could set those default power settings for microwaves that don't have a humidity sensor!

    • @Bopzibeel
      @Bopzibeel 3 месяца назад +1

      My old microwave had power settings from 350W to 1300W. My new one operates on percentage only. 100% is 1300W which is too high for my rice, so I get on my calculator and do my percentage equation. 60% is 780W for example. That's perfect for basmati rice on a 12 minute setting. Try that method.

    A) You hypnotized your wife. The cutlery rack on a dishwasher is horrible, especially if the dishwasher is further away from the sink / utensils drawer .
    Utensils drip, utensils may have yucky stuff on them + you want those things out of your hand as quickly as possible, and starting to put them in one at a time, running back and forth from the sink is not that amazing .
    So cutlery basket for the win !!
    Also, while a part of me was amazed at all the functionality of modern refrigerators ... , a happier part of me was thankful to the service man who basically rebuilt the 35+ year old fridge that my parents had , and if all goes well, that beast will continue to hum along with minimal electronics, no surge protector another 30+ years without much service .
    (I remember once replacing a rusted out small dish in the back that collected water droplets from the machine . (DIY before it was popular)
    ... now going back to downloading Bosch service manuals, to try and figure out what's actually different between 3-4 models that have pretty much the same description ... 🤯

    Here’s my issue with the smart dispense on the washers; my Samsung toploader doesn’t even give the right amount of water for a load. How is it supposed to dispense the proper amount of detergent? I would LOVE to go back to a front loader, but my machine is only 3 years old 😢

    Are you serious? Modern dishwashers do not have heating elements anymore? That was a big feature and an important feature government needs to get the hell out of everything.

      ALL DISHWASHERS HAVE A ELEIMENT FOR CORRECT wash and rinse TEMPERATURES.
      Normally a circle or square calrode. At the bottom sump of the dishwasher.
      120f
      130f
      Target Temp 140f
      155f
      Basic & med line DISHWASHERS.
      Cold water only gives more versatility in TRUE wash and rinse temps.
      But longer wash times.
      European machines achieve this if you have and array of dishware.
      Like delicate for lower temp washing. But usually people don't apply this . They use hot water hookups.
      115f
      120f
      130f
      140f
      150f
      155f
      160f
      170f
      Achieve those temps in a higher end DISHWASHERS.
      These machines uses a flow thru heating system.
      Meaning you want see it.
      And plastics won't get burned .
      Or plastic tops or lids that might fall down in the sump that could cause damage near a element.
