    As someone who owns a 2016 Tacoma V6 and tows with it quite often, I absolutely love the horsepower torque of the V6. i thought it was pretty underpowered when i drove the 2021 sr5 3.5L in my mothers truck a few hundred miles, i was disappointed. the torque number is alright, the hp is kinda a let down for a 2021 3.5L V6. fuel mileage sucks compared to the heavier and more powerful f150’s. i thought it was really the opposite of quality when driving it, definitely not worth what she paid for it new. at least they are probably super reliable.

    • @amazedtenthousand4873
      @amazedtenthousand4873 2 месяца назад +1

      @@adamowens5507 I actually kind of agree. While overall horsepower and low end torque can leave more to be desired, once you get into the 2,000+ RPM range it takes off. Plus horsepower isn’t really what I’m looking for in a truck. If I wanted to buy a car with loads of horsepower I would have gotten a sports car. Plus for the towing I personally do it’s more than enough.

    Finally ppl are saying what ive been saying for months, you can see comments of mine on here from a year ago warning ppl not to buy toyotas because theyre all weak 4cyls now, you gotta count 1 mississippi before you start movinh after hitting the pedal.
    The seat quality is bad so if you do buy one, do not buy less than an xle PREMIUM, the regular xle awd rav4 destroyed my back. The lumbar support is a rectangle that juts out halfway up your back, and when you put it away it leaves an indent in the seat that your spine will sink into while your driving, it took months for the pain to stop.
    I hated it so much i traded it less than a week after i paid it off, and put the monry towards another car. I was done, no more payments or stress about owning my vehicle but i just couldny take it, it was slow, they put no tension on the gas tensioner so you speed up extremely slow, plus with only 4 cyls.
    Theyre also very barebones. Other manufacturers offer much more features for less money.
    These turbo 4cyls will not last like their old v6 and v8s did.
    Do not buy a toyota or youll regret it.

Toyota are shooting themselves in the foot by taking the V8 and V6 engines out of their vehicles for 4 cylinder full hybrid options even though some of those vehicles have had a V6 option since the late 1980s I.E. I first heard that the Tacoma was going to be redesigned in 24, so I thought I’d wait for the 26 or 27 year model so the bugs could be worked out of the new generation. Then I heard that Toyota was dropping the proven 3.5L Naturally Aspirated (NA) V6, so I started looking for a 23 TRD Off Road, double cab, 6’ bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs in either White, Barcelona Red or Lunar Rock.
    I bought one of the last 23 TRDs in White and had everything I wanted and needed.
    I’m super happy with my decision.

    Toyota in Manila. So just took a few rides in some Toyota Vios cars that are the taxis here. One overheated. Driver pulls over pours in a gallon or so of water and then a gallon or so of coolant while the engine is running. 5 minutes and we are back to normal. I ask him how many miles on it. 1.3 million kilometers. The thing is a wreck, rear shocks really shock you when they go over bumps, but the thing keeps running. Original engine. They replace bushings and shocks but the manual is original and engine keeps on ticking. If you have ever been to Manila then stop and go traffic is an understatement. Manila makes LA look like open road driving. I don't know what a Toyota Vios is, maybe a corolla equivalent. The next two Vios cabs I was in both had over 850,000km. Also no problem with engine and transmission. All, well 99%, taxis in Hong Kong are Toyota Comforts, and all taxis in Macau are Toyota Camry. Again, these are NOT highway miles. I am impressed.
