Man, I followed Atlanta Toxics and I always thought his work looked incredible. His wave toxic in particular is impressive, but christ... It's a shame, it sounds like he was being super unprofessional and was unprepared for larger amounts of work.
In my time modding, I have fucked up *once.* It was a stupid mistake that I overlooked in some finishing with an ano job because I was kind of rushing it to send the knife back before I left for vacation. Once the person DMed me and was like, "Hey, you fucked this part up, it's pretty unprofessional and doesn't match your history of work and reputation." I *immediately* was like, "I'm so sorry, I was in a rush and overlooked that, I can either fix it free of charge or give you a full refund, or even both if that would be better." When you fuck someone's shit up, you make it right, and you don't fucking *lie* about it. Atlanta Toxics did not make things right, and that sucks. If he wants to keep offering mod work, he needs to get his act together. Even more baffling that people are still giving him money after this, I wouldn't trust him at all.
He’s a lazy addict. They need to never attempt any mods ever again. They need to be a laughing stock never to be taken seriously.
And the toxic anos are cool but they do require polishing to look right and as demonstrated polishing is a problem for lil toxics. Andrew and NorCal do much much better toxic anos (the wavy ano you referred to)

This is literally my worst fear and why I can't bring myself to ever get mod work done by another person.
And yeah, I can 100% understand trying to keep it down lowish. I just have this terrible feeling of him saying, "woops, sorry for breaking your mako, and damaging your kraken, also losing your blade and hardware. Anyways I'll have this shipped by tomorrow." After you posting a little complaint.
At least at the end of this adventure, you found 2 great modders and got the kraken exactly how you wanted. And Mako untouched.
NorcalCustoms is awesome and such a great dude. I highly recommend you give him a shot. 10/10 great guy

Yeah, i agree with what you said about live blades- i like the look a lot more and being able to tell immediately the side ur on, but i like to dull them because im just not super into cutting my flesh clean off if i make a tiny mistake while enjoying a hobby
oh yeah along the lines of that, you mentioned the live not even being able to cut you if you tried; i get how that works, but is it possible to do that to the tip too? so that it doesn't stab my hand if i mess up an aerial?
I use dogbite 3.1 bushings for all of my krakens, sometimes they come too small but you can buy ten of them for under 20 dollars and fine tune them.

Bruh one time I cut my thumb so bad on my new rep that the only reason the blade stopped was because it hit my fingernail. I had to wrap it in gauze at first, then clean, then hold close, then bandage it because all the stores were closed so I couldn't get super glue. From that day on I try to get dull blades when I get customs, or I tape my blades, or I get a spare clone to dull the edge down on. I have a kid, so I especially have no desire to sustain a hand injury and have to go to the ER. I respect your dull knife flipping; Besides, they're still pointy enough, and I have yet to find one that I can't cut through packing tape with.

He should've absolutely replaced them with some calamari clearance handles at the very least, sucks to hear man.
Seriously, those handles are super cheap too, it's like thirty bucks to get two Kraken handles.
This is the correct answer and why he didn't do that is beyond me

this would have been an easy fix that would have mostly solved the problem. but instead, he kept my knives for another 3-4 months and didnt replace anything :) (he also lost my blade. and never included the hourglass blade he said he would include to "make things right")

Lol looks like my home made "ghetto" speed channels. I only used a drill, dremel, files, and sand paper. And no I would not do that to anyone else's bali or ever consider charging for it.

Btw your speed channel v2.5 handles on an Hourglass blade recommendation is fn' epic. Puts up a real fight against the Kraken 3.0 trainer. So much so my 3.0 has been put away for the last few weeks.

This is actually disappointing news. This guys work appealed to me and I even believe Atlanta toxics did a collab with squiggle scales. Hearing about this is situation is actually really unprofessional and it was quite surprising to me.

its especially surprising when he messes up the speed channel cuts when there are lines on the original handles that can act like a stencil. He is also a "professional" modder that shouldn't even need those lines.
Despite everything I'm curious how you go from kraken trainer (most handle heavy kraken) to Bowie blade(most blade havey kraken) Think the Bowie flips weird then remove more handle material to fix the weird feeling lol, but fr tho I'm sorry you went through all that, bro just didn't care about running a real business

His negligence towards not just you but all those customers is unacceptable; especially making you wait multiple months just to get an unfinished product and completely ruined handles. Sorry to hear that man.

Good luck getting any compensation for his fuck ups. The guys obviously got problems. Sometimes it's better to put shit behind you, learned a hard lesson and move on. This video is a good warning to others.
