Where to Go with Kids in Nicaragua: Christmas Abroad VLOG

In this video we are celebrating Christmas in our final destination here in Nicaragua: Hacienda Iguana, a small, intentional community, located on the shores of Playa Colorado between Popoyo and El Gigante on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast.
Hacienda Iguana is a golf and surf community with a couple of little stores, a few restaurants, two world-class surf breaks, and a place where you can access everything via golf cart.
When we travel over the holidays, which is often, we try to keep the spirit alive and make it feel as Christmasy as possible for our kids.
In Nicaragua that meant decorating this houseplant in our airbnb with paper ornaments!
Our kids fell in love with surfing a couple weeks earlier when we rented boards in the San Juan del Sur area. It’s been really fun to watch them, and they have improved their skills a lot in such a short amount of time.
As many times as we travel to this part of the world, we never get tired of seeing monkeys in the trees!
