  • Nicaragua Family Travel VLOG: 1 Week on Isla Ometepe with Kids // Where to Stay Isla Ometepe
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In today’s video, we are heading to Ometepe Island, Nicaragua to spend a week while our kids participate in a local WorldSchool Hub here.
The ferries come in and out of Moyogalpa, the main city of the island. When we arrived here, we had to take a taxi for about 50 minutes or so to get to the middle of the island where we would be staying - an area called El Madroñal, right between Santa Cruz and Balgue.
While most people choose to only spend 1 or 2 nights on Ometepe, we opted for a full week on the island because our kids are attending a week at Jardin Enfantil Colibri - a local school that welcomes travelers and expats from all of the world.
Where to Stay on Isla Ometepe? Ecolodges!!
We changed ecolodges halfway through the week from Finca del Sol to Finca Ometepe. They were both lovely choices, but Finca Ometepe had flushing toilets.
Have you ever visited a WorldSchool Hub?

    Great job guys
Children need to be in an environment like this because electronics take valuable time from them. 👏👏👏👏
