That ojo de agua was purchased and a gift from my father when I was 15 years old. He gifted it to me and 4 acres on the beach of Santo Domingo. When I was 15 being a stupid teenager I told my father I wanted to live in Managua and wasn’t interested in doing anything on the island. Once I turned 21 I came back to America to find the American dream. Thats when my father sold the ojo de agua and the land on the beach. You can imagine back then he purchased it all for $1500 dollars. Now I am 46 and this piece of land is worth a couple million easy. Remember kids listen to your parents. My lesson will be when I return to the Isla and pay $10 bucks to swim on the ojo de agua and realize it was mine but now I got to pay to enjoy it lol good times people glad you enjoy the island 🏝️
Me imagino como se siente ver algo q fue de tu familia yo tengo 30 años viviendo equi en California y mi papa me dejo una propiedad en la isla de Ometepe ahorrillas del lago ahora tengo una casa ahí y estoy preparándome para retirarme y vivir en ese ermoso lugar
Amo la isla y toda la gente que vive allí. Hay tantas cosas que hacer allí. y hermosos paisajes y volcanes allí también. Espero poder volver en el futuro. Sí, el albergue era muy barato.
Yes there are several bike rental shops nearby. I do not have a specific one to tell you about because I rented through my hostel. The price is fixed and you should have no problem when on the island. I would recommend you to contact your hotel and they can help 😊
