It's not a choice. Hockey fan: "hey lets just trade our overpriced, under-performing player in this salary cap era!". Every GM: "Duh, why didn't I think of that!". Like listening to those idiotic Leafs fans saying "lets just trade Nylander or Marner!"
Unfortunately we don't have to imagine it at all lol. Petey, haha, wonder what JT is gonna say about this.... hopefully it doesn't divide him further from his European/Russian teammates. He already on an 8 milly island by himself lol and from his play, this I'd imagine, it's hard to look up to the guy. He needs to humble himself and forget about finding ways of showing his displeasure with the way the team is going AND of course, yknow, not give up on plays, ever. Lol
@@pizzasaurolophus It was a choice last year when Miller was on a heater and could have brought a decent return but the half-wits in management got greedy and decided they didn't need to move him.
@@pizzasaurolophus uhh they paid a 29 year old based off a career year and not his career to date. They overplayed their hand and signed him to a terrible contract instead of losing him. He's underperforming his not yet started contract because they signed him to a garbage contract in the 1st place. So yeah, they chose JT Miller over their soon to be UFA captain.
I mean hey, what could go wrong signing a guy until hes 37 based on a career year and giving him a NMC?
@@scallaghan61 nah miller isn’t the problem. He’s having the same point production as my captain Larkin at just under a ppg. and he’s wanting more than 8mil. Its really the OEL and Boeser contracts that are holding you back.
Marachenko was a second round pick in 2018 for the jackets, kind of broke out in the KHL, came over this season, dominated the AHL, got called up in December and hasn’t looked back. He’s been a real bright spot for us so far.

@@AlexAnteroLammikko russians who have khl contracts slide in the draft because theres a possibility they wont come over to north america, especially if they have to play in the ahl first (podkolzin supposedly slid in his year due to this, canucks had the same problem trying to convince nikita tryamkin to stay over)
not sure what 2018 has to do with anything. but if youre trying to refer to geopolitics youre right, russia had taken georgia and crimea at that time but the media/lib npc's didnt care about that as much as they (think they) do now
@@deepaktoor7376 Im Finnish, so on the geopolitics I care a lot, but won't get into that outside of a purely hockey perspective. Yes, I was referring to the uncertainty with Russian players in the last draft and the next few due to the situation making the movement uncertain.

yeah i saw another comment saying the same as im gonna say. They didnt make fun of JT, they were talking about kuzmenko "stealing" or at least what looked liked a "stolen" goal from pettersson, and then he jokingly got mad and smashed his stick on the bench. So it wasn't directly making fun of JT, but it could be hidden shot that could send an message, If JT saw it maybe could feel targeted and maybe he thinks about it. But i do believe that this was not intended to make fun of JT, this was just two teammates having fun about who scored and one of them jokingly getting mad because they thought they wouldnt get the goal.

That interaction had nothing to do with JT. If you saw the entire sequence you see EP making an inch gesture in reference to his goal. Either in jest over Kuzmenko tapping it in or the fact it was his first pp goal of the year and Kuzmenko almost stole it and since EP has had 2 pp goals changed to assists, he was jokingly pretending to be upset.
I'm not gonna sit here and defend JT on every play or interaction but despite struggling he's still almost a ppg who's mistakes seem to be blown way out of proportion imo.
As for tension with the team, the fact that they signed JT and Kuzmenko but refuse to pay Horvat full market value despite being the captain, should tell anyone that Horvat is perhaps not on the greatest terms with the young core.
Yeah, but who was he imitating? The previous shot where you see EP and Kuzmenko sitting next to JT makes me think it's Miller.

100% I don't understand why people say trade him when it's unlikely to find this type of skill on free agency a second time. He took a discount, mad respect for him and his goofy hair style. Without Kuz, Petey would be searching for new teams.

I don’t think they were making fun of JT. What I believe happened is that was after Peterson power play goal. Also that was his first PP goal of the season. I think Kuz was saying to him “that was mine” cause of how close it was to crossing the line before he swiped it in. And Pettersons reaction was a joking reaction to kuz stealing his first PP goal of the season.

as a viewer whose been keeping up with your videos for the last few months. I love the relaxed editing style and the simpleness of your videos, but you really gotta work on your breath control. I know this sounds stupid and minor but theres honestly no reason you should be jumping ahead of your own words and out speaking yourself in a youtube video where you have full control over the product. I say this because there are a lot of small creators out right now making the same content and I find their videos much better and I'm starting to realize a lot of it has to do with the way you're speaking. I love the videos and your takes on everything going on around the league, this comment is only meant to be helpful and critical. I can tell most of your commentary is freeballed and you just have like bullet points you touch on, but i recommend just doing a few retakes every once and a while and slow down after you do one take and get out what you want to say.

Just pathetic that even though the habs are losing all of their games, the Canucks are STILL behind them in the standings. Habs are parking their asses in the handicapped spot, Canucks need to pass them in the standings. I've been a Canucks' fan since 1981. I used to draw Richard Brodeur and Tony Tanti with the Skate logo on their jerseys. I'm a definite fan, but that's just the opinion of a long-suffering Canucks fan.

i hate this we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, who knows what JT is like in the locker room and off the ice, i’m not saying he’s gotta be the exact opposite of how peopel perceived him but this is what puts pressure in players and it takes such a mental toll, this isn’t excusing his behaviour but there’s more to it all than just what we see
