The 2 Devils pictures are completely different rooms. The second one is their original room at the Prudential Center, they added a new locker room closer to the practice rink side and they use that one as their primary room now because it’s bigger and nicer. The one in the second picture is no longer used for the team
Both rooms always been there the one with gray carpet was only practice room and red carpet was just for games and down the hall attached to bench.. back in 17 they just made practice room for all and old one for med stuff during game
i like it when the rooms don't have the office building ceilings and when they can utilize the wood grain well. i think the blue jackets went a bit overboard with the whole jumbotron thing but i can see the appeal
In addition to the Sabres locker room being top notch, the hallway from there to the ice is really nice. The locker room is for and about the current players while the hallway is about the history of the franchise, and it's done very well.

Good video. One thing that isn’t taken into account is that this is just where they get ready for games. They’re mostly simple because it’s more or less an equipment room. For example, I’ve been in the Stars dressing room, it is much bigger than the photos in your video. However, just outside of this room, is the real locker room. This is where they change out of their suits etc and it is extravagant. Each stall has a closet basically and their fan mail and it’s beautiful. From there, they walk into the the room you’re showing which is still nice, but it’s just the Gametime room
I wanna see the Wild playing ministicks on the rink in their dressing room as a team bonding exercise. I'm not even a Wild fan, I just think that's epic.
Even though the Islanders' room is still under construction in the picture, you can see that the ceiling is going to be a little higher, which makes a difference. In a lot of the lower-rated rooms the ceiling is low--looks kind of claustrophobic.
I really love the bruins locker room. Not only do they review plays on the projector but they could also create plays on the floor there for when they hit the ice which is pretty cool and smart!
Wings fan here. My thoughts exactly on the Bruins room. Something about it gives the impression that it fires players up with passion for their team and teammates. Same as the Avs room.
I like the slightly smaller and basic ones. Seattle, Detroit, Toronto, Vegas were my favorites. I loved playing in smaller rooms growing up, its way better atmosphere, so many chirps going back a fourth.
Great video! Being a Blackhawks fan and being fortunate enough to be in the dressing room recently, those are not updated pictures of the locker room. I agree it looks bad in those pictures, but it has since been renovated and it looks a lot nicer nowadays!
Even still I wonder why he put the ducks above the blackhawks. Even if he thinks the hawks room was bland, the ducks room looked like a peewee team's room.
Your dressing room needs to be rich with the history and tradition of the franchise. A room where you can feel the guys who were there before you. A lot of these look like the basement in a rich sports fan’s house. 16:35 I liked Boston’s; I wanna feel like I’m one door away from seeing the ice.
Buffalo shape and look, with Edmonton size, and Detroit stalls, plus the modern look of the Seattle…and also some history. That would be the greatest locker room ever.
Solid choices for the top two, but I'd put the Habs up there in the mix in the top three. I like the shape, colours, professional feel and the history, with the "pass the torch" stuff and photos of the old greats. They may have been tge first team to do that kind of locker room revamp/upgrade
@@JonathanHawkey actually tend to agree with A G. Maybe bc I am a Habs fan tho lol! No seriously it does look quite historic with a good modern mix as well in my opion.
Habs is my team and I do not think it deserve a spot in the top 5. They need a higher ceiling, no fans in the middle ''get better ventilation if needed'' with a logo on top. I really love the penguin's dome ceiling, it would be perfect to showcase our team history.
The Penguins is top to me. You have to watch the end of game transfer of their warrior mask to the outstanding player that night or Sully speaking to the team to really appreciate the large circular concept of their locker room. The fact that they all face each other in an equidistant way versus the rectangular way is so much better. It would be nice to see the visiting locker rooms also to see any difference in layout.

I don't understand why the ranger's locker room was ranked so low, I think it should've been around the middle to upper middle. But also, it's hilarious that my college's locker room is nicer than literally all but probably 5-8 of these.
I might be biased but Edmonton has the best one lol. Love the circle rooms, like Knights of the Round Table lol. But I can dig your Ottawa thoughts. It’s a basic room, but the higher arched ceiling in there makes it feel bigger than other rooms of that shape/size. More grandiose. And all the basic ceiling tile in the rooms..ugh. Lol that’s the worst for me. Vegas has basic backlit translucent ceiling tile but it looks so good. Simple but effective
I would hate any of them without some dividers in the stalls. I can't believe how many there are without them. It gives me a sense of space to get ready in and makes me feel like that's actually my locker space not just a random piece of bench.
@@v4v819 What are you talking about? I described a locker room. These are just rooms with benches. Locker rooms have lockers for each player and where they can store stuff. It's nothing about a towel or being "shy'. You're trying to belittle me but just making yourself look foolish.
Ovi’s “stall” is actually right next to the door so no one crowds his space. Each section is segregated by skate position. The centers all sit together In the “middle” the forwards (besides ovi) sit on the right, and the defensemen sit on the left, which ovi on on the farthest left stall.
Great video, thanks for putting these pics together - always wondered what the locker rooms looked like. Maybe this is thinking too much, but when i saw the miniature ice rink on the carpet - I thought it would be something the players could use in between periods as a visual tool to accurately point out places on the ice for some play that just happened in the last period, or to discuss situational plays/adjustments for the next period So might be something more than just aesthetics? Then again, yeah they probably have projectors and tech to review on screen.
The problem with the Buffalo room is that they still have the logo on the floor. The reason the Oilers only have a ceiling logo is that they don't have to worry about weird rules with dressing room visitors like reporters about stepping all over the logo. It defeats the purpose of having the logo on the ceiling if you still have it on the floor.
We are a hockey city, all the reporters and visitors to the room know not to step on the logo. also not included in this video since it isnt technically part of the locker room, Buffalo has a fan zone just outside the locker room on the way to the ice where fans line up in between periods to cheer on the sabres as the return to the ice. I think that is a pretty cool feature.
The Seattle Kraken locker room is so beautiful. I had opportunity to be in there for several months while the climate pledge arena was under construction. The first image doesn’t represent anything that exists. It’s just a render and the second photo is what it looks. Behind where the photo was taken from closes into a semi circle. Comment with any questions.
I thought he was showing the practice locker room at first because it didn't show the curved wall. It definitely should've been higher up in my opinion, especially after seeing some of the ones ranked above it.
I like the locker rooms that have the projection of the rink on the floor. That has a really cool vibe to it, and I'm sure the coach can illustrate strategy on that diagram for everyone to see before they take the ice.
That isn’t the bruins locker room anymore, it got changed after the 2019 cup run. I was inside it a couple months ago, and it looks completely different from the one you showed. Could be their training facility, but I haven’t been inside that one.
2:49 In all of these locker rooms, the seats of each stall flip up to reveal a cubby underneath for equipment managers to store the players bag once they pull all the gear out to setup the stall
What makes the Jets room better than some of the similar previous rooms is the space in the corners. because the benches don't meet, it looks more spacious and brighter
Top. 5 Buffalo, Vegas, Seattle, Detroit, Toronto, Pittsburgh. I honestly don’t like the super modernistic ones like Nashville or Columbus. It’s Hockey not figure skating. I also hate bigger dressing room. I’ve been in the Oilers and it’s so big it has an echo, no character to it at all, players cant talk amongst themselves in this massive ones. Dallas built theirs small on purpose for this reason, better camaraderie.
Would you ever do a ranking of the entertainment different teams do before a game? The “commercials” each team produces to get the crowd going. Those would be interesting to see. You could include how the team enters the ice - whether they have an elaborate shark’s head as a doorway - stuff like that.
I gotta say the pittsburgh penguins have the best of the nhl. The detail in that dressing room is stunning. That's probably why pittsburgh always makes the playoffs every year. 🤣 🤣
Columbus definitely had the biggest glow up in the modern era in terms of upgrades for player facilities. They easily had one of the jankiest setups beforehand. Apparently before the renovations, their players didn't even have a straight shot from the locker room hallway to the bench. They had to make a dog leg turn. But now, a friend sent me a clip of some behind the scenes video they did, that arena is running a setup that's on par with the richer NFL and NBA teams. Multiple steam rooms, ice baths, jacuzzis, suspended running track, turfed area for soccer, and a video room with theatre arranged giant leather chairs. Bedard/Fantilli is gonna be really impressed LMAO
Nationwide is an extremely top notch facility. It’s nice the players are finally getting upgraded on the behind the scenes stuff to match the rest of the facility
I don’t understand how teams have bad locker rooms! For them $1mil could buy you an amazing renovation. A ton of it comes down to the mood it invokes. That is accomplished with things such as ceiling height, warm lighting, etc. I love the look of wood and each player having their own stall. I also like the logo on the ceiling. Just pay an interior designer, tell them the overall feel you want and they’ll make it look great. You can also consult with sports psychologists to see what helps players.
I'm biased because I'm a Wings fan but I love their's and wouldn't expect anything different from it. Classy, stylish, and something the Joe didn't have a ton of which is space. They're all about heritage and keeping the past alive while adding to it and I think that room fits exactly what their culture is about. I'm also not surprised the logo is on the roof. Was in the room at the Joe and Ericsson and Abdelkader said the players had to put $5 in a pot everytime they stepped on it lol.
I really like the Ice Rink in the Rug in the Wild room...the old Detroit Vipers of the IHL had the same thing at the Palace at Auburn Hills when I worked in the IHL...always wondered if the vacuum was a mini-zamboni!
I think the ceiling height and whether or not is is vaulted make a huge difference in the appeal of a room. Also, when the lighting is hidden behind a valance and is directed up and off the ceiling it makes it look a lot more modern.
when I was younger I had a teammate who's grandpa worked at the buffalo arena so my whole team got a tour of the locker room, rink (had no ice), and some other parts. It was an awesome experience. The locker room was so nice in person
I am surprised you got the tour and didnt like Rangers locker-room (the reason it is "small" is because the building space is limited the arena is like 75 years old). I have gotten a million passes over the past decade plus from player friends and the vibe is awesome. The locker-room you show is just for dressing but beyond it you have the amazing archive history room where food is and then right beyond walk through the glass tunnel that the fans wait on the outside of. All and all it is so very cool
Opened in 1968, so easily the oldest arena in the NHL (54 or 55 years old). I am just amazed that arena is still in use when many newer ones have been torn down (some of them years ago).
@@glennhavinoviski8128 they have done at least two major renevations in my lifetime I know of, the last adding all the modern stuff like a sky walkway bridge, dressing room, theater and restaurant. As a little kid I know they changed all the seats out (famous blue seat upper deck was gone and as were the reasonably priced seats) and skybox luxury suites were added. Maybe it is nostalgia as I get older and approach middle age but I loved the old Boston Garden and Montreal Forum as well and was lucky to visit. New arenas are so generic these days. MSG was built really well though originally so the foundation offers them alot of freedom to change the inside.. The Amazing thing is that Penn Station, the biggest transportation hub for subways, trains from long island and coaches from Jersry, Connecticut and abroad is BENEATH the arena. Really some modern marvel shit at play.
The teams that have the miniature rink on the carpet in the center of the room, that's an advantage, they can design plays and see it in full size rather then the coach drawing on a board with a sharpee pen.
I believe I'm correct...but I'm fairly certain you showed the current version of the devil's locker room and then the older version and called it the same...the first image is actually how the locker room looks, no major color correction happening when you see it live or in commercials
Most teams have a nicer dressing room where ever they practice because they spend majority of their time there. The flyers dressing room at their training facility is MUCH nicer than the one at Wells Fargo.
That is the Stars practice facility… I’ve seen shots during games of the actual one and had kids actually use some like the peace one while playing at Comerica.
Not for nothing, but that’s. or the 2022 bruins dressing room. seats are black leather with a B on the the back rest. above that is diamond plate. the room doesn’t sit that way, it’s more oval and the carpet is black with no logo i believe. you can see it in detail if you follow the Bruins on RUclips, and catch the latest episodes of “Behind the B”.

Yeah fr like that’s what the locker rooms for the NA3HL team and D1 team at my rink look like. Wish I were so lucky to dress in the coyotes room
Agree I like the rink on carpet. Prob also useful for coaches/leaders when talking shop/strategy in intermissions and pregame re. Positioning
I really liked the Red Wings room, that one left a good impression on me and I would have put that on my top 5
Thanks man. Fun to watch.
For the Ducks this video is far outdated, they got a huge renovation to their locker room and facilities at Honda Center
its not outdated its wrong. Thats the locker room at their practice facility Great Park Ice in Irvine. Their actually room is much nicer@@Dodger24
I love the Seattle Kraken's logo. Right up there with the Blackhawks and may be better.
Would be interesting to see what these teams provide for the visiting teams
I'm biased because I'm a Wings fan but I love their's and wouldn't expect anything different from it. Classy, stylish, and something the Joe didn't have a ton of which is space. They're all about heritage and keeping the past alive while adding to it and I think that room fits exactly what their culture is about. I'm also not surprised the logo is on the roof. Was in the room at the Joe and Ericsson and Abdelkader said the players had to put $5 in a pot everytime they stepped on it lol.
The wings room is objectively top 5. The middle of this list feels very “I’ma throw these here to piss people off and get comments”.
I knew you big on EDM and CGY news, but i didn't know you were a fellow small town berta boy. Sick, man.
I really like the Ice Rink in the Rug in the Wild room...the old Detroit Vipers of the IHL had the same thing at the Palace at Auburn Hills when I worked in the IHL...always wondered if the vacuum was a mini-zamboni!
Lightning 2020/21 champs huh? You forgetting one? 😎😉 Really cool vid!
I would like to see the comparison of the home teams locker room and what is offered the the visitors at all the arenas
Some of the more basic ones in this video are about what the Lightning's visting locker rooms are like, but in varying sizes.
Anaheim just renovated their locker room. Got to tour it last month at their fan fest. Way better now
Loved your videos very surprised at the NHL looker room
I think the ceiling height and whether or not is is vaulted make a huge difference in the appeal of a room. Also, when the lighting is hidden behind a valance and is directed up and off the ceiling it makes it look a lot more modern.
Totally different video. Loved it
Super cool unique vids!
when I was younger I had a teammate who's grandpa worked at the buffalo arena so my whole team got a tour of the locker room, rink (had no ice), and some other parts.
I believe I'm correct...but I'm fairly certain you showed the current version of the devil's locker room and then the older version and called it the same...the first image is actually how the locker room looks, no major color correction happening when you see it live or in commercials
hate to say it but the bruins locker room picture is outdated. they got a new locker room a little while back and it looks really nice in my opinion
I’m pretty sure that’s not the current bruins room if you watch behind the b they show a different one and it’s way better
This ⬆️🫡
Great video! Would love to see more of these!
Will do!
@@JonathanHawkeygreat video but that bruins locker room is 4 years old. The new one is amazing. Otherwise amazing video man keep it up
Are these photos pre game or post gam??the Coyote one kinda comes across to me as being a post game...
That construction scene in the islanders locker room is a little rough huh, carpet down before finish work/no plastic over carpet?
Most teams have a nicer dressing room where ever they practice because they spend majority of their time there. The flyers dressing room at their training facility is MUCH nicer than the one at Wells Fargo.
wo hooooo buffalo is number 1 at something lol!! great video overall!
Amazing video!!
cheers bro!
I really like your video 😊
That is the Stars practice facility… I’ve seen shots during games of the actual one and had kids actually use some like the peace one while playing at Comerica.
i would put chicago in last place because the roof is so low down
How can I send you pictures? I have some of the new Avs locker room. I know that this isn't the newest video but if you want to do an update lol
The bruins one was updated years ago
Chicago updated theirs 6 years ago..
Bro your beer league must have some amazing arenas. The dressing rooms in my city are all tiny and super cramped.
Please list the arenas that have dressing rooms better than the one at Gila Arena.
How does the ceiling change from 09:04 to 09:08?
I love when you complimented my favorite teams locker room
Awesome video
Boston bruins locker room that was on this video must be a different one cause their locker room looks way different then that they have a huge B on the ceiling and looks much more classy
Hey Jonny. Don’t worry the flames are getting a new stadium in a few years.
Anyways I would like to know what small town you live in Alberta, because I might of played hockey there
I think a big factor of this is the connecting rooms where they are able to do other things. Most have a big space like a lounge
I like the wild and avalanche. Oh and oilers and sabers
Kraken one looks great. That one looks amazing.
I’ve been in the Sens dressing room and one thing I like about in was the size and look of the players lounge just off the dressing room full of leather couches and tv monitors. I’m sure other teams are similar but I have no reference of other teams rooms.
Cool video thanks.
Buffalo needs to tighten it up defensively and bring that Silver Mug into this beautiful dressing room.
Wait how does color correction change the shape of the roof in the Seattle arena
I don't know when the Avs locker room was updated, but it is much, much nicer than the old one. It was done before this video was made for sure.
Yeah the new one is so nice
the avs got a new lockeroom and its fire
Ducks locker room already has been upgraded. I’ve seen it in person this fall and it’s amazing. Top class and great spacing
