Toews really had a genius plan. He went with a simple quick shot from the hash marks which not many people do and it caught lots of goaltenders off guard. Once they figured him out he knew he could fake a shot from the hashmarks and go for a deke making the goaltender react too early. 1-2 punch

Nice video! If you make a part 2, you should include Ryan Johansen’s “slow jo” as they call it.

Great video man. If you make a part 2, shoutout to Matt Hendricks, he had a sweet fake shot deke move that was pretty good and smooth.

It's funny how the shootout rule seems like it is still relatively new. I'm blown away at how old the footage looks now!

Dawg I know I’m a caps fan but it is a crime to not put “the paralyzer” Matt Hendricks in this video. He had such a signature move and literally paralyzed the goalie

Kaner didn’t have a signature shootout move to put in here with his massively slow stick handle side to side until the goalie eventually makes a move

Jussi Jokinen also had option to do so called forsberg deke. I think he scored few goals with that as well.

The shoot out attempt is supposed to end when forward motion stops and a lot of those spinarama moves, the player clearly comes to a complete stop before shooting the puck.

I really feel like it shouldn't be, I understood the rule to be you need to approach the net, moving backwards should end the attempt

  • @UnhingedCanadian

The Gagne one was so unstoppable because he would sometimes do the move but just continue onto his back hand and score cause goalies were starting to anticipate this move then after he started going back hand he could just pick at will and goalies had no idea which move they would see cause they looked the same on the entry but the finish could either be backhand or forehand.

I'm super disappointed Kucherov's fake deke and Datsyuk's puck flip aren't in here. It seems like you went with repeated moves only? But those are signature moves all the way.
Also why no Olympic highlights for Oshie??
