Why couldn't the sedins stayed on for 1 more season... Sedin Sedin Pettersson.
Those ladies retired at the right time. Not good clutch players
@@karlfalckh3498 dude you don't know hockey kid
@@eddymaldonado7991 Yeah? How'd they do against Boston in 2011, especially game 7?
@@karlfalckh3498 dude you really don't get it there are so many great hockey players who never won a cup you are pathetic kid
@@eddymaldonado7991 They had a shot to win a Stanley Cup and they played horribly, got pushed around like ragdolls. Horrible when it counted most. Even you get it that they sucked, but your emotions are clouding your judgment
I've been a fan since he played in the Swedish Hockey League, in Växjö Lakers.
He broke some Swedish records during his season in SHL.
He is a magician on the ice!
You’re so right, so happy to have petey on the nucks
I don't even watch hockey but I loved how he bounced the puck off the wall and juked that goalie in the end. He's like a Harlem Globetrotter with a puck
that shootout move is known as the peter forsberg, because it's the first well-known instance of someone pulling off that move... well except for the time that another swede named kent nilsson did it in the world championships against the US but we don't talk about that.
either way it was a legendary moment. it was in the hockey olympics in 1994, forsberg would start his NHL career later that year, and in the 7th round of the shootout, in the final against canada he does that move, just sneaking the puck under the goalies glove, which because tommy salo saved the next shootout attempt by canada, ended up being the goal that won sweden's first ever hockey olympic gold medal. he'd then go on to be one of the greatest NHL players of all time and get inducted into the hockey hall of fame.
For my money, the "blind" pass against Vegas is #1. Absolutely unbelievable.
Gretzky´s style 🙂
Yep.
I hope Petey and Brock stay in Vancouver for a long time and become best friends forever. Bo and Mills too.
Hughes too
Well Bo is gone..
Remember all the Vancouver fans hanging their heads when he got drafted?
yup! i still go back and watch those youtube reactions when im feeling down. it cheers me right up lol
Yep I knew he’d be good everybody else he’s to “small”
"All" ???@$$
Elias is incredible... it's ridicilous how he shoots the puck... good to see he's been able to have such an impact in the NHL despise his young size. Although his skills are clearly on display in this video, I'm not sure I would define scoring on a breakaway as "SHOCKING" lol ;P
Such a complete player. His 2-way game is very strong too. His points would probably skyrocket if he played in a better team.
He is gonna be a swedish legend 🇸🇪🇸🇪
I think so too
And a Canuck legend as well
There are no Swedish legends, well Abba maybe
no way... Loui Eriksson is the swedish legend.
@@karlfalckh3498 sure thing troll. Based on your name i bet there are many legends in your country 😂
Elias Pettersson and his young and talented teammates may just have what it takes to end Vancouver's cup drought. This young Swede is a very special player, and so are his fellow players Bo Horvat, Brock Boeser and many others. Never considered myself a Canucks fan, but things have suddenly gotten very interesting for them.
6:15 "you're fcked, that was fcked, holy fck" -
boeser lolll
“Shocked the world?” Usually, standard slap-shots are not very shocking. Excellent pick by Vancouver though. It’s hard to believe that he went fourth, as my team grabbed a Hischier first overall. A real argument can be made as to who should have gone at number one. I am in no way dragging on Nico, but this guy is a genuine superstar right out of the gate.
I mean it’s still VERY early for both their careers, and there is still a ton of room for development from both players so you never know. Regardless both are very strong players that are literally key pieces in both franchises futures. Thanks for watching !
Celluloid Therapy it’s cuz that was his tenth goal in his first ten games
Regan Joung Well, that certainly changes my opinion! That must be a record...
People in northern Mongolia prolly never heard of him
7:25 I still remember Peter's goal. I wasn't old back then ^^.
Pettersson is amazing!!! What a joy to watch he play!!
If he stays with Vancouver he’s gonna get that C for sure
Poor Rinne. The guy has been Peteys bitch for 2 years.
Thanks for 200,000 views! I appreciate all the support :) Make sure to subscribe if you are new!
That brought tears to my eyes.
Let's be fair, he did the Forsberg goal better than Forsberg.
Perhaps. But the Forsberg one was in the olympic finals. Against Canada. And it was Swedens first olympic gold in hockey.
@@gnosjo Oh, I know, I'm Swedish and I watched that final live. :) We didn't win until that crazy save from Tommy Salo though. :>
Soon they will compare new stars to Elias
He will be the new reference on how to play hockey that we all want to watch as Hockey fans.
Klart grabben är grym, han är ju från Medelpad och timråit ^^
japp, hockeyvaggan ...
Just watched your compilation of Elias’s goals. You forget how good he is. Excellent vidéo!
He looks like Gretzky
Bang on!!
I've been a fan of the game since mid-90s... and. he just might have the best shot of any Swede... ever...
I do like Filip Forsberg as well...quick release. But Elias has better hands.
Boeser saying “you’re fucked, you’re fucked, holy fuck, that was fucked” xD
"SHOCKED THE WORLD"?!? Getting a little carried away with your titles, aren't you? Are you hoping to get a job with the Weekly World News?
His first goal should have been on there.
His first shift even!
For sure Mike Smith still hasn't seen it yet
A 20 year old shouldn't be able to shoot like that
apparently he can
The thing i just noticed his his release is slow. Where Pavel Datsyuk would deke and bring it to his forehand shot so fast he'd beat goalies, Elias just lazerbeams it where the goalie cant get it, even when fully ready for the shot.
Canucks are so silly . Instead of keeping this killer line together . They don’t sign horvat .now beoser is on the block . Management worse than phoenix or Columbus . Vancouver is an absolute beauty of a city but I don’t see the Canucks ever winning the cup . In 2011 I think they were in first place most of the season and they had the best team and they still couldn’t push that ball over the line .
when I watch this he have just scored 100 points in nhl 22/23 seaso,But canucks dident even qualifiy for the playoffs
Absolutely terrible from the Canucks…
@@DeanerHD yea he might need to move on from canucks
@@Mauritz361 I hope not
@@DeanerHD yea me too but I want him to win something
#2 and that whipping-hook, blind pass! incredibly SLICK.
lol boeser @6:13 - "you're fucked. that was fucked. holy fuck."
fast forward to 2021 2022...wake up petey.... its not you in there.... :(
👌👌👌👌👌👌❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
aight dawg lets not bring these cringy clickbait ass titled into hockey lol
Let me know what you think of Pettersson
I'd invite Petterson over for dinner
lol stop haha who wouldn’t ?
@@DeanerHD Blackwood and all the players that broke their ankles trying to defend against this kid.
Klasse ?Super Typ👍🇩🇪
maybe boeser should play on Peteys line
ART ROSS THIS YEAR
In case anyone here can't read lips... Boeser's words after Petey's from the ground pass were "you're fucked... that was fucked... holy fuck".
Boeser at 7:42 if I am not hallucinating says "Fuck! That was totally fucked! Holy fuck!" 😂
new gretzky
The high-pitched ellipse invariably amuse because postage cytogenetically colour underneath a quack decrease. callous, rich spring
The creepy centimeter evocatively attend because tachometer reassuringly fold absent a able leather. true, painstaking coat
Cool
#2 should be #1 even though it's not a goal. the curl pass behind the back reminds me of the ovi falling down goal.
klassisk foppa!
Shocked the world? A bit much, don't you think?
Y
Will never forget the Howitzer goal on Howard. Jawdropper.
video should say..."Brock Boeser" that's it.
Why do they pronounce it as Patterson when it’s Petterson.
Lolll playing against colorado wild is like playing against rookie ott no goaler no def colorada great offe ce no defence no goalie and lets not talk about canes
I'm a canuck fan and love EP but let's be real here, no hockey player in history has ever "shocked the world" because hockey isn't a blip on 90% of the world population's radar.
being real, "the world" isn't always the whole globe but the world of something. World of sports, hockey or even knitting.
@@SirCanuckelhead Then say "shocked the hockey world". Language does matter.
@@doublestrokeroll so does critical thinking and comprehension. However the title is fair, if a non hockey fan saw this I bet they would be shocked what this kid could do in a men's league.
@@SirCanuckelhead lol...that's exactly what I'm doing. Thinking critically about this. And my comprehension is perfect. I literally understand it perfectly.
The title goes beyond exaggeration and straight into stupidity.
@@doublestrokeroll it is a youtube title, what you are doing is overreacting... But still the title is fair, show this especially non hockey fans and tell them this is a kid in a mans league and they will be shocked.
Gillar att de säger hans namn korrekt med i:et i Elias.
I was at that canes game.
Twas a nail biter 0-0 the whole game 70 shots both teams total than that ot goal the place went nuts
Nice goals, but I don't see anything earth shattering
- "He's got the angle but he doesnt have the angle" ?? Well he did a goal in that angle.
Shocked the world??? I don't think so Tim.
I know, but it got views so idc lol 😂🤷🏽♂️
He really did shock the league.
... Pekka Rinne has stopped six of nine. Nice.
Love the Gretzky style slapper at #10
A few great ones. The rest are pretty basic goals. He’s no Barzel or McDavid
For sure: he's a better person
watching in 2022, we need this pettersson back. now he misses every one timer and it costs the team o zone time
Still on pace for 90+ Pts
He's shocking the world in 2021-22 with only 16 points in 32 GP.
Look at him now , on pace for 100+
They even pulled off a Sedin twins xD
First n last. Rest were just goals.
Fast, all-round technical player with a good shot and a great eye. Will be interesting to see how he develops in the coming years.
Soooo I feel like “SHOCKED THE WORLD” (in all caps) may be overstating things a bit. Maybe “PLAYED GREAT HOCKEY” would be a more appropriate description. A great video with solid editing nonetheless.
Luv it 🇸🇪👍🇦🇺
6:15 read the lips "holy fuck!"
6:13 "Fuck, that was fucked, holy fuck"
🇸🇪🇸🇪
You are going to need a new top 10 after those playoffs.
Kyle Stewart yeah no kidding man! Thanks for watching, appreciate it
Shocks the world by scoring goals in a game in which he expected to score goals.
he was 5th overall, he finished played better then the first overall and won the calder, he showed incredible skill no one would have expected. so yea he shocked the world by coming 5th overally to being the best player on the canucks....
@@alexwyner2869 that shocked the world?
So what I see is Peterson has single handedly taken the place of the E.T. twins. But with more style too lol
The kid is awesome and such a joy to watch. I hope he is able to stay healthy, and a Canuck, for years to come.
Wow
this guys good but he wont make the NHL.
Lol
Search Rookie of the year 18-19
@@Leeerk sssssshhhh just enjoy it.
He's special
He so good proud he is on my Team my Canucks look out next year.
I am a Swede and we never had a player with this Gretsky shot that he has ...i have waited for a long time as a swede to se this ..AMAZING !!
But i am not certain Vancouver is the right place to be to win if he want the Stanley Cup ..sorry fans ;) Vancouver need better defence.. BIGGER players who are BRAVER ..DARING and MEANER
How big is tampa excluding Hedman but he isn't even that mean. Depth/role players do help but the Canucks are defiantly trending in the right direction. What makes for great teams and a key for success? Centres, a scoring winger, top defenceman and a goalie. Petey and Bo in the middle, Brock and TJ on the wing, Hughes on D and Demko in net. Van does need a better top 4 d but they have a solid core and the blueprint for it.
lmaooo that voice crack at 4:22
The goaltending seems very weak these days.
Most of those goals would have been stopped by goalies from the 1990s
Lol
so its a goal and passing montage of nothing out of the ordinary except 3 of these 10, this is far from "shocking" anyone
You’re a peasant bud and you don’t know anything about hockey
This is a silly sport..I didnt even see what I just watched..
Too slow 🤷♂️
He’a way better than the Sedin’s.
No.
