Never realized how useful deking can be just to maintain puck control when a player is aggressively fore checking you! The way he moves away from pressure in tight spaces and in board battles, very cool to watch

A lot of clips usually not shown in the Elias highlights here. Really nice to watch. Great work, thank you for the upload.

EP40 is the new generations answer to Pavel Datsyuk, the awareness, the puck controll and the sniper is equal.

Hate to be that one guy that complains about the music, but this isn't the sound you want for Ankle Breaking Action.
Nice collection of EP action though.

He's pretty silky holy shit. Thank God it isn't the 90s NHL anymore. I seen him with his head down so much in areas that he'd normally get absolutely buckled in back in the day. Glad we're able to appreciate so much skill these days. Makes it much more entertaining.
Ps. I'm not against big hits and fights like some people are in modern hockey.

in the 90's his ankles would have been broken.

He reads the game pretty well and would see most hits coming. Boeser, Matthew those other guys don't have silky hands or reads the game well. Just skates and shoots smh.

So pretty much he never goes backhand. Players are gonna pick up on that pretty quickly. He’s a very skilled player though

    • @Plastpackad

He has already fixed that. Look at the OT goal vs Carolina.
A few years back his weak point was his shot! He spent a year of extra practice on that and a few years later he is one of the hardest and most acurate shooter in the world.

Couldn't finish the video because of the terrible music. This is hockey, not European football.
