20 epic songs of epic band live in only an hour and 15 minutes of your time. The best date ever. Man do those people who where at concert know how happy they are
@Irony I remember when it was cool to like that song because it was a B side, but now everyone is pretending the opposite is true. Harness Your Hopes slaps. It's awesome that such a good song of theirs is the intro for so many people.
Something about the don’t give a F attitude mixed with the musical genius of Malkmus and how they let it freakin RIP during shows not holding back. I LOVE Pavement dude.
On the day of my 30th birthday Pavement played Roskilde. This was back in 2010 and I was there! It was a GREAT koncert and a perfect day. Tak Theis Mortensen, for at jeg kan genopleve det i ro og mag her 8½ år senere :) GENIALT!
Sooo glad I got to see them on this tour. I was only 14 and had just discovered pavement weeks before they announced the show in Columbus. Waited in line for 3 hours and got second row malkmus side. One of the best nights of my life for sure!!!!
Just stumbled on this gem of my favorite band along with the Pixies! So glad to see this fine performance . I saw them live on Crooked Rain tour . Thanks for sharing this!
They were very stoned in 1994. Really didn't care either. I saw them in 1995 and they were also very stoned but immaculately sloppy and great. Saw them again in 1997 at the Tibetan Freedom Concert and they had sharpened up a lot. Probably slightly sobered up.
Just remember, everyone: if Bob Nastanovich weren't a compulsive gambler, we might not have seen this reunion happen. Thanks, Bob, for being a degenerate.
@@Juanmariabrausen I read about it ten years ago, so it might be off a little. You can do some googling. The story was that Bob loved to gamble on horses (he may have owned one?) and had lost his shirt doing so, so he lobbied hard for Pavement to cash in on the reunion hype that was going around (Pixies, Pavement, Dinosaur Jr., GBV, Archers of Loaf, Breeders all did the same around that time).
@@mskcrc And are waaaaay better live than any of the other groups mentioned. Saw them last year and they are just impeccably good live. Stunning, in fact. Way better than in any of their original incarnations......

He actually said to me that Stephen was doing so good that he didn't need them. It was kind of a bummer statement. Exactly 2 summers later, I saw the reformed Pavement on that exact same fucking spot. 2010. I also met him quickly after a Sonic Youth gig when he was playing bass for them.
Nice to see them all having a great time. The one time I saw them back in '96, Malkmus was mind numbingly awful to his bandmates. It really killed the vibes, and made me never want to see them live again, even though they are one of my favorite bands.
They were awful, or rather Stephen was, and I believe they, as most in the crowd, had taken significant amounts of this fruit roll upesque textured mescaline...with a very pejorative moniker. It had gold flecks , within black gel, and the kids were referring to it as _ _ _ _ _ _ with a gold tooth. It's named was unfortunate, and insensitive, to be sure, but it's certainly served the scene...I could care less that Pavement sounded like shit, and they didn't seem that bothered either. Lollapalooza they were terrible as well. The New Orleans gig anyway...did these two fiasco, hinder my adoration for these magnificent bastards. .I'm here aren't I ?????? So no, not at all.
