@@jakehardyyythank you bro
i've watched this like 8 billion times. my favourite is brinx job
Yes Brinx Job!!! Different lyrics here than on wowee zowee, but probably the best song of the set. To me it's much better than what appeared on wowee zowee.
fuzz you see. fuzz you don't. fuzz-be-gone.

I think they were the finest band of the 90's. I saw them on their reunion in KC it was my favorite concert ever. They mess up they joke or apologize, start songs mess up and start again. Just people making music to make music not to make money. They rock. Malkmus is underrated but he is amazing and still looks the same.
Steven Malkmus is worth 5 million dollars. A happy accident I guess.
He's better than ever. Go see him live with the Jicks. So rad!
saw them early this year they were much better this time round not a single mess up
Definitely best band of the `1990s. At least the only band i think from the 1990s that i still regularly listen to.
This is it right here. Every Pavement-ism is on full display. Love the harmonies on "Silence Kid" lol.
always a pleasure to listen to Trigger Cut live! i've been on a binge of its live cuts since Malkmus performed it on acoustic for a Pitchfork special. P.S. this is my favorite Pavement video of all time. 1994 was such an incredible year for them.
One of the best nights of the 1990s was going to this club in Calgary Canada with some friends to have some drinks and finding out there was a big cover to get in because some band from the States named Pavement was playing that night none of us had heard of..surprisingly we paid the cover - unusual for us at the time - went in ordered some drinks, went out had a spliff came back in and this band of guys that well looked like guys we hung out with came on....& played like none of the guys we hung out with; sloppy but superb , well they blew us away. You could tell within 15 mins or less that here probably was a band that one would listen to for the rest of their life. And so it is.
the template for all good bands that followed
Strange. I've heard 'Gold Soundz' a billion times, I was a senior in High School when this concert was filmed, but something about watching them live like this gave me chills!
I remember getting this on the-zomb in the 00's and watching it many times and then losing the DVD some where. Thanks for the RUclips channel!
Wow, the audio is amazingly good, well done.
Incredible concert, PERFECT VIBES!
dont you hate when you watch a gig like this and the play all your favourite songs but you cant go casue it happenend 19 years ago
BeardedSailor1 haha 23 now. Fuckin bummer.
Yes but 25
Kazoo
@@claireisonline I saw them on this tour in April in Portland Or, I still remember how amazing it was. Life changer.
I hate it when that happens.
I love how every live version of silence kit sounds so different and soooooo good
Malkmus with the beanie! Best band of the 90's to me
Wish they kept that guitar distortion on this version of Brinx Job. It's amazing.
this is beyond excellent. awesome sound. great mix.
excelente job 13 productions!
so perfect
thanks for uploading this sir...youtube would do well to delete everything else...i kid
God they were amazing. Favorite band of the 90s
This is so good
Debris Slide is a perfect song.
BA BA BA DA BA
Excellent
thank god for RUclips x
Brilliant.
Pueblo.what an opener
@@zacharyhocking6095 totally..well put Bro
Brinx Job is amazing here
Malkmus rocking a mustang and spiral with a les Paul. Cool show indeed.
Strat
@@ST-xg3gy For the majority of the show. He uses the Mustang for Box Elder.
Anyone know what kind of Strat he uses?
@@simonreverb619 it's an OG '73 or' 74 CBS era hardtail strat with the tone controls removed. He still uses it today
53:42 to 57:20 one of the best moments of the concert, that's when they play "in the mouth to a desert"
Malkmus' look at Bob during Silence Kid is so endearing
That trigger cut performance is better than the album version
Box Elder is amazing
Is the guitarist wearing his own band's T-shirt? Bold choice.
I was there
damn you lucky chum haha. saw a lot of stuff in my time as monitor engineer at paradiso amsterdam but never pavement. greatest band of the era bruv! Do check my band wondertrees its pretty cool. on Spotify obviously. Big hug Freek
god i’d give anything to be at this concert
fuuuuuck i wanna cry every time i watchthis
Epic
You've done a fine job 13.
lol my guys really just not gonna play range life.
I saw him in Montreal a couple years back. At the end of the concert, he asked for volunteers to come up to sing their favorite songs. An audience member got to sing "Shady Lane" with the Malk himself. What a legend.
I then asked for "Range Life" and he shot me down. Such is life.
original and the best
"yeah"
Best distortion sound.
thanx 13 produc?and particularly the german mixers 4 getting it right theres an earlier post of this show somewhere and some guy said hes watched this show thousands of times understandable really pavement kind of became a blueprint for decent indi and were massively influential although not superior to polvo/seam/ slint/june of 44 anyway rock on kiddies {splifa 73}
The wool hat. Very Mike Nesmith.
Weird--Mike Nesmith died today.
i know its a long shot but does anyone have a bootleg to this that they could send me??
much love
The "Filmore Jive" here is fucking prime, I can sew where animal collective got some ideas from.
The song is called "Pueblo".
Pueblo. Or since it's the early version it would be Pueblo Domain, look it up on spotify or download it or whatever, I like it more than the Wowee Zowee version.
Is there a video for just Forklift?
What guitar is Malkmus playing with here?
Rory yor´re so right, and the world was a better place that time
I love bob nastanovich
im "Vorprogramm" traten Stereolab auf, unvergeßlich, der Abend in der Batschkapp
e puts, linda d+ essa pueblo oh!
Opening with Pueblo is kind of a bummer. That's like, second encore, to me. But God look at this fucking setlist.
strobelight, good night.
Pavement troubadour
Mark speaks German (@59: ....something). ON THE WHOLE THESE FRANKFURTER KIDS DON'T know how lucky they had it.
sm tá tão sensual. ele falou comigo do palco tbm heheheh
what is this venue called?
Calum McCauley Batschkapp.
thanks! just wanted to look it up because i felt like id ben there, turns out i was right
Very cool but I think their 2010 concerts as good as they ever sounded. It's amazing how they're called the best band of the '90s and yet so unlike any other band of the decade. I guess that's what you call being original.😏
Yeah, they sounded great in 2010, but to catch them on a good night in 1993-95 was something else!
Built to spill, Weezer, Modest Mouse I could go on of bands that have a similar sound.
Square Diner NYC Spring 1998...shit... shit... f my corp pager man...shit...I was the the one in the Navy Ralph suite... Dude...loved your stalking staring @me while stuffing mu face! Kiss
53:23 lol
^
Seen Pavement many times. Their 1st NY show at The Pyramid was a shambles. Too bad my buddy, Gary couldn't stay on. He would've given them a great drumming sound. Too much to Young. Pun intended.
I love how pavement has that one useless auxiliary member it just makes me laugh
bob nastanovitch isn't just there to bounce around and yell, he actually does all of that weird beeping sound effects with his keyboard and you can see him being the second drummer in a lot of pavements songs. He's like the multi instrumentalist of pavement. Also, if you listen to brighten the corners or terror twilight you can really hear his influence a lot more on those records.
OutoftheblueNinja Excuse my use of the word useless, Bob is an essential member to the sound of course, I just always find it hilarious, his floating around. Wonderful musician.
