At age 48, I can say I really love the internet. No one ever imagined, that these secret moments from the past would find the light of day. That's me, right in the front having one of those peak moments of music scene bliss. Thanks Fugazi!!!!!! for everything!!!!
I swear to god this is my favorite band ever and when they play live it actually brings me to tears just bc theyre so god damn good and not the fact that I cant be there
I bought this performance on bootleg DVD probably 20 years ago, and it's good to see it cleaned and synced up. I agree that more of the Fugazi Live Series ought to be synced to any live footage, that would be so amazing to witness in the only way left now. Greatest punk rock n' roll band ever

Thank you so much for posting this. I was actually at this concert with my girlfriend at the time. We stood right in front of Ian. At 34:53 I yelled "football practice" and then my girlfriend yelled a bunch of crap about us getting hit. For some strange reason there were a bunch of jock like preppy college kids there and they were non-stop moshing the shit out of everyone like it was a Slayer concert. Anyone who went to a Fugazi show knew that the band disapproved of slam dancing, so these dudes were definitely at the wrong concert. Besides this it was a amazing show, and the opening act Makeup also left a hell of an impression. I have never forgotten this show to this day.
Jersey Devil I actually Remember someone saying “football practice “ I was there too! Crazy how memory bridges the gap of a pre-internet world. No joke, I really remember that!
I used to know the guy who filmed this. He called Dischord to ask permission to do it for his film class at The Art Institute, Ian actually called him back and left a message. We met him after the show, he filmed a bunch with Ian talking to fans in the alley behind The Troc. Hell of a night!
Stellar. Their emotion, quality of sound, and the entire setlist make this one of my all time favorite Fugazi shows. Their authenticity makes me want to play music again, very inspiring energy and songs. I especially liked the overall take on Repeater from this set. So good!
This is such a damn good band, amazing performance and energy. I almost feel like I’m there and I never got to see them. This is awesome, thanks for this
This was such an excellent show - I was in the balcony approximately above the cameraman. I wasn't sure if this was the show I saw until Guy had to ask people to stop pushing! This was one of the best nights of music I ever heard!
Thanks for uploading this, I see some years ago. I was never fortunate enough to see them in person, and they were on indefinite hiatus long before I lived in Philly, right around the corner from the Trocadero. Funny Ian mentioning Rangoon at the end. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in that neighborhood.
I was at this show! First time seeing fugazi live. I’m serious, i remember every moment. The guy Ian calls out for the “born in the USA t-shirt” is a guy named John howie, who was in my circle of friends. Thanks
I believe you. Cool name man. Mine would be fugazi1979 if I thought of it back when I first started listening to Fugazi in early 90’s. Keep that username .
@hustache yannick YES !!! I have listened Fugazi before 20 years; but i didn't understand the deeps of the sound in this time. ... but now it's my music for 2015.
+Jens Sokolowski yeah, I really didn't "get" the "Red Medicine" album when first released and I hated it. But real artists push the envelope and it takes the rest of us a while to see it. That's punk for you, essentially, whatever the sound.
I can't believe this doesn't have more views. Thanks for uploading it! Too bad about the interlacing and the off-sync sound... But it's still one of the best Fugazi videos I've seen.
honestly there's all types of bands doing all types of sounds touring all over. basements and obscure spaces are where shit like this happens every single night across cities. we've just gotta be proactive about searching out the actual good bands
Assinti a um show do Fugazi no circo voador em 1994 no RJ , o show inteiro eu estava no palco fotografando p um fanzine na época , entrei nos bastidores com Andre X da Plebe e o Sergio do Tubarões Voadores . Inesquecivel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could be in a band, I want to be in that band. Fugazi rule. Have loved them ever since I heard Waiting Room on the Robby Naish wind surfing video called RIP.
I’m surprised the Troc was still standing after Fugazi burned it down during their Nov 1991 show. Great band, great live shows. Back when rock music had a pulse.
52:25 Brendan either drops a stick or discards it for a new one without making it noticeable, just a little detail that shows how effortless Brendan can adjust while still killing it on kit
Here's hoping that Fugazi finds a way to use more videos from their audiences and also syncs those to the live series recordings. I'd love to see that.
I find it hard to believe this is discord records approved and it is laced with so many ads. I hope the revenue is going back to the band. don’t get me wrong super stoked to see this they are my favorite. (minus the constant advertisements)

I saw them at the Antenna Club in Memphis 89'. One of my favorite shows. I know what you are saying.
Literally in tears, they're so damn good
Karina Ballinas I know how you feel .
Same here
Pure emotion.
yep
This was my first show! On my 14th birthday. Amazing.
I swear to god this is my favorite band ever and when they play live it actually brings me to tears just bc theyre so god damn good and not the fact that I cant be there
Ian: Be nice to each other.
Guy: *Literally almost impales Joe through the face with a guitar immediately.*

One of the few bands that sound better live. My favorite band. This show kicked ass. Respect each other and enjoy the show. Classic Fugazi.

Dude, The Make-Up are back performing!
Jersey Devil
I actually Remember someone saying “football practice “ I was there too! Crazy how memory bridges the gap of a pre-internet world. No joke, I really remember that!
"These jocks are fucking us up!"
I hope you didn’t push anyone. Hahaha. So lame.

Neat. That explains why the videography is so good.

One, of the best bands in musical history!
I remember riding home to Jersey on the speedline and I couldnt hear anything. Unreal. Lucky to see them so many times. xx
This is such a damn good band, amazing performance and energy. I almost feel like I’m there and I never got to see them. This is awesome, thanks for this

Fantastic version of Suggestion
Fantastic show, overall
This world - yesterday, today, and tomorrow - needs Fugazi
45:51 Jumpin Jack Picciotto topples Ian in a groove induced act of pure energy
Toppling explicitly means falling over. This is too flowery of prose for Fugazi.
A band my son and I agreed on from the get go...love 'em!
Been watching alot of these old Fugazi vids. Power. In one word: Power!! Wish I would have found them sooner.
There the effing best to ever do it
Brand new Fugazi fan and lover of all things Philly, here. Thank you for posting this!

I was at both Troc shows this weekend. So awesome to find this!
I was at this show! First time seeing fugazi live. I’m serious, i remember every moment. The guy Ian calls out for the “born in the USA t-shirt” is a guy named John howie, who was in my circle of friends.
Thanks
One of the greatest bands ever!
Lucky to see them twice in my life.once in 91 behind the Whitehouse and in 2004 maybe free again.that was a DC show also.i will miss seeing them play.
I've listened to Fugazi every day for 30 years
fierce Fugazi set. Thanks a heep for this masterpiece.
I love the Troc. Seen so many bands and been in so many “raves” there, best venue ever
It went downhill quickly, in the 2000s. Doesn’t even exist now.
Seen them at First Avenue mpls many times and was lucky enough to meet them all.
I need Fugazi!
I’ve had this username since 1997
Lol
Nice
Awesome! 🙌
I believe you. Cool name man. Mine would be fugazi1979 if I thought of it back when I first started listening to Fugazi in early 90’s. Keep that username .

Those European shows Guy was talking about... I've been on many in the Netherlands back then :) Brings back great memories
Fantastic. Christ they were good.
EDIT: Latest Disgrace is such an underrated song. Rarely played live.
Awesome, thank you! I saw them 2 years later at The Electric Factory while I was living in Philly. Amazing show.

This set was freaking amazing.

Yes it is. Peak form.
I wish they were still making music.

This show rocks hard
this is gold! thnx for the upload
Another JAM ◆ Session ☆
Here's hoping that Fugazi finds a way to use more videos from their audiences and also syncs those to the live series recordings. I'd love to see that.
Was a Troc staff member. They dominated.
So fucking rad.
The best band in history.
GOLD!
I guess you're not supposed to observe these kinds of things in hardcore music, but I love how the drums are tuned.
I hate myself for Not Seeing These Guys Live!!!!
The best performance of shut the door imo
Up there with Joy Division. A sensitive
blast.
killer set
yeah it could be a bit better. when I get some time i'm going to try de-interlacing and syncing it better.
Naw man You did a great job thank you!!
Thanks
Big Chungus Energy, aka eyebrows on full display here. Guy and Ian are total maniacs, I love it 🙏👏👏👏👏
I love Fugazi.
Good work!
I'd like to see a recording where the camera just stayed on Brendan the whole time

I find it hard to believe this is discord records approved and it is laced with so many ads. I hope the revenue is going back to the band.

This wasn’t uploaded by dischord

The only band without t-shirts for sale at the door
