- Stern's Berzerk is a classic title from arcade gaming's "golden age", and it got several excellent ports to Atari home systems. Here we take a look at the previously unreleased Atari 8-bit version, ported from the 5200 version and featuring authentic speech synthesis!

Great stuff as always. I very much appreciated the intro discussing the games background and history. Take care and I look forward to many more videos yet to come.
Excellent gameplay!!! Cheers!!!
Berzerk is one of those timeless games that I still play fairly regularly, either the arcade version or the Atari ports.
I literally said "Sniped" at 13:02 as well! Looks like a challenging game, and it's great to know more about the history and influence. Thanks!
right up my alley
Great video, Pete. I've always been a big fan of Berzerk and got quite good at the 2600 version back in the day. My thought is: mastering those diagonal shots is key to being able to advance through wave after wave of asshole robots.
someone commented about the quarter in you pocket comment and I was reminded the Tremmors 2 game ... quarter quarter quarter
kept dying in the cloud of exploding robot bits
Definitely having that exhaustion with FF7 Rebirth, Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth and Sandland all out at the same time and just as I was half way through Lost Judgment. I stopped Lost Judgment to play FF7 Rebirth and months later with 200 hours of playtime I'm two legendary battles away from Platinum and I don't want to play videogames any more for a while. That's with just playing one big title, just the fact that I have the others on backlog and for some reason I put pressure on myself to get a platinum if normal play gets me close.
so ..... what are the 1-10 items for player 1 ... game difficulty, game settings?
about 12 minutes in ...
It's the starting difficulty, specifically how fast and often the robots fire. I go through them later in the vid.
