    The comparison between an already inducted rafales to a future technology tedbef would either be "in-comparable" Or "un-comparable" depending upon how many specifications of the tedbef becomes a reality or comes true.

    The model of TEDBF shows how design has matured if we look at TEJAS initial designs for reference.
    Any step taken forward is a positive thing doesn't matter how small that step is.
    All the Indian government and the agencies have to do now is to adhere to the timeline as strictly as possible.

  • @rickgolder6818
    @rickgolder6818 9 месяцев назад +20

    Well TEDBF would come out around 2027-28. And after testing and all, it will only go for production from 2030-32. And some time around 2032 too our tejas mk2 will come into production, and AMCA's testings might get completed by that time. So, many will say its late, but we will also have to conclude MRFA and also our Rafale M order for navy carriers, so by 2030-32 it will be be the accurate time to shift complete towards indigenous jets production after all the foreign deals are completed. Which I think is OK, like if we can have our production of tejas mk2 and TEDBF started by 2030-32, it will be enough. Yeah it might not be super good, but its also not super bad.
    Also another thing, why i think that TEDBF will be on time, maybe with a little delay, is because of direct participation of NAVY. And we have seen, Navy is much more competent and proactive in procuring indian made weapons, also in a fast manner. So its heighly chances that we might se prototype of TEDBF around 2026-27, We never know.

    • @rickgolder6818
      @rickgolder6818 9 месяцев назад +5

      @@Koi_apna_nhi well obviously, jets are obviously always in under improvement. Even in our own case of tejas, first we got tejas mk1, and then the much better and more indigenous tejas mk1a, and now we ae gonna get the tejas mk2, which is even more improved version of tejas mk1a. So yeah, jets are always in development, as new techs comes in, we will keep on intreigating them in our jets.

      LOL. When they announced that it will be developed within 8 years, I knew it was a charade from the start. Aircrafts take 15 years from start of design to serial production, and that's for countries that have decent aircraft manufacturing experience. Announced in 2020, TEDBF serial production will not be before 2035. And that's the best case. Realistically, the project would be killed or serial production around 2038-2040 given India's history of delays.

    • @rickgolder6818
      @rickgolder6818 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@sanjay59741 nope, the reason, ots because it has direct participation of Navy. As i mentioned, Navy is much more potent than other forces in acquiring indian made weapons. So yeah it may get delayed, but wont be cancelled.
      Also idk how you are getting the 2035 date. By 2035 indias GDP will have crossed the 12-14 trillions dollars, so things will not be as its like now. India would have much capable infrastructure for manufacturing and also developing faster, than its doing today. Assuming the same situation for a decade later is idiotic. We can see the first prototype of TEDBF by 2027-28 and even if its delayed, it will not be more than 2029-30. production may start after 2 yeas of first flight.

    • @sanjay59741
      @sanjay59741 9 месяцев назад

      @@rickgolder6818 Navy will support the project, but it will be developed by HAL, an organization suffering from talent leaving for better companies, bureaucracy and funds being choked and not comparable to foreign organizations like those form US, Russia, France or China. Navy or not, a brand-new design will take its time. You can be upbeat and develop false sense of hope, but they will defer the induction 1 year at a time until it's too late and you realize you have been duped.
      The reality is - India does not have budget for armed force proportional to its economy or threat perception. Defense share of total budget has been slashed after reaching its peak in 2017 and its still coming down. This is causing India fail in maintaining a balance between foreign procurement where it is required and indigenous development. Whatever foreign procurements are done are not via bidding process, but Government to Government deals in small number.
      Be happy until China captures Tawang and more parts of Ladakh and we continue to pretend all is well. Bookmark my previous comment and see if the first of the serial production (not prototype) is inducted before 2035 or not.

      @brothergunns5055 9 месяцев назад +2

      When we keep RCS and aerodynamics into consideration, that'll be a terrible idea. Jaguars are strike aircrafts. They are in no way multirole.

    • @azrael6067
      @azrael6067 9 месяцев назад +2

      It was considered for Jaguars as they had no options for close range air to air combat. Jaguars fly very low to avoid detection. But for a design like TEDBF, aerodynamics and RCS is first priority, so no to overhead rails.

    I don't understand why our IAF hasn't went forward with ORCA.
    I have few points based on our defence.
    130+Jaguars single engined (outdated aircraft concept),
    60+ mig 21 (good that they will be replaced by Our Tejas)
    40+Mirage 2000 ( single engined)
    50+ Mig 29 (dual engined)
    Around 300 Aircrafts will be decommissioned within a decade.
    We need to full fill the decommissioned aircrafts.
    As well we have to add new Aircrafts to Increase our Squadron strength.
    114 MRFA + 123 Tejas 1 Versions + 100 MWF+ Few AMCA.
    That are not Enough.
    Point- (Fifth Gen Aircrafts are high cost to operate as well it's not for every mission).
    IAF should have gone forward with Tejas MWF as well ORCA (Twin engined aircraft version of TEDBF)
    AMCA around 4-5 Squadrons are enough.

      at that point, it would be better if IAF chooses to use TEDBF and make it into an airforce version (in short bring back the ORCA)
      btw TEDBF is also priority, Tejas Mk2 aint gonna fly from decks and also Rafale would make it overdependent on France and that would hurt indigenization

    When TEDBF becomes reality we can prove it. Till that time it's all bakwas. As usual like Mann ki baat. Too much talking no action. We need to get new blood in all areas of Indian economy. Old book learners are rigid. Drones are major future technology where we are no where near. Just dancing the music for last 25 years.
