I was a student in 2001, India Government started discussing MRCA of 128. My daughter in higher secondary now and all we could manage to get in these 23 years is 36 Rafales and a few sub standard LCA's. Some pav bhajji processes have been put by god knows who and no Government has been able to scrap the process. Armed Forces should have a dedicated budget and not allocation. Calculate GDP and Joint Military Command should have 4% of GDP. Just standard 4% and relay your purchases to Parliament for any course correction if need be after the purchase is made(not before). Let Armed forces decide what they want than these Dhotidhaari and Gutkha Chewing Politicians decide it in the parliament.

Sir I think the only solution to fast track the production of fighter jets we must use the unused potential of Private sector. Government must invite Private entities with funding and assured minimum order of fighter jets that can run assembly lines for atleast 15 years.And one more thing government must spend in R&D to develop critical technologies,as very critical technologies are never for sell.for example jet engines.

@@crackshotYT 1- the concept is from late 80s where a west switched to light aircraft’s F16 and Mirage as ex. Tejas was visioned to replace Mig21 ( light aircraft) and was suppose to be similar to Mirage. The new projects are more focused on Medium and AMCA. It’s just we are too inefficient ( govt, armed forces and PSU ) 2- When MMRCA was placed Rafale was the best available aircraft for IAF on certain grounds that is why it was chosen. Rafale by no means is outdated. It will keep getting upgraded. We actually planned 5th gen early with PAK-FA but then pulled out. I think pulling out of Su57 was a mistake. There are no other 5th gen fighters even today available to buy. So Rafale is good decision. Considering the overall picture I believe IAF should have ordered Gripen in 2015-16 3- I think all govt organizations are corrupt and in efficient. You don’t need a PM to make people on job to be responsible! I even think IAF has actually failed. They don’t have a plan neither is there vision clear for next 10 years. Just saying we need 42 squadrons is not a professional plan that people will admire you for. I think Navy here does a lot better job. I don’t know , maybe what I write above doesn’t make sense to IAF, but I do believe that we should not sit and wait for aircraft to be ordered. Lot of things are currently with us to improve

Now, it's time to purchase American fighter jets. F35 at least 5 squadrons ,F16 10 squadrons, F15EX 10 squadrons, and Rafael 10 squadrons. If you don't want to spend money, you are putting the country in a valunerable situation. All ready, China has got 200 J20,and the numbers will be reaching 1000 and on. Indian Air Fore- 90 Additional Rafale, Indian Navy- 24 F35B to be operated from IN Helicopter carriers in Indian Ocean. Rest focus on Indigenous program with Tejas MK1A, Tejas Mark2, AMCA(Project under PMO) with public private participation. Let Rafale and F35 be the last batch of foreign Aircraft we acquire. And our forces need to look themself as a single unit of defence. Whatever equipment we add is not just added to services but to Nation as whole. 3 forces worked very well jointly during galwan crisis. We had P-8I, Mig 29k deployed along with IAF assest. This jointness is the way forward.

Logistics for F35 maintanence are already complicated for the Nato partners, for India (specifically during conflict) it would be a liability. Also, US keeps control of all the data and communication links. I don't know why such simple things are not being mentioned.
India 🇮🇳 enters the F-35 deal to ensure America keeps a steady and disciplined supply of the GE-404/414 engines crucial for the Tejas programme. If America slackens or reneges.... I have some thoughts , analysing the whole defence procurement strategy since 2014. 1. MRFA / formerly MMRCA is waiting for something . Since 5th generation technology is one of its criteria now - we are looking at flight of Rafale F5 and the Su75 . The French plane which would be an active semi stealth fighter jet would fly in its latest variant in 2027- the same year when the Su75 is slotted to take to the skies. Both Dassault and Sukhoi plan to build assembly lines within India if their equipment is selected. Dassault already has a factory in Nasik, meanwhile Russia is looking for avenues to invest Rupees in - where the Sukhoi can have plants that supply commercial orders of their fighters. 100 pcs of the said platform would be taken up. Right now, the problem with Rafale is that they have a long list of customers who already ordered the F4 variants and only after those had been supplied in full could the new variant be made - however if India is willing to avail 100 units, the Nasik plant would be used calling for components import from France. Su75 onnthe other hand is a new plane and all that would be imported would be the engine and airframe - because the rest of it , avionics, EW suite, radar and many critical components would be indigenous. We know that the Su30mki Super Sukhoi upgrade would be fully indigenous. 2. Tejas Mk1A would be reinforcing the decommissioned MiG21 Bison squadrons. Su30mkis have already fully replaced the MiG23/25/27 squadrons . Tejas Mk2 would be replacing the Mirage 2000, MiG29 and Sepecat Jaguars - all whose life had been extended for another 20 years. But all are 4th Gen fighter jets, numbering 120 would be rivaling the J10C and F16 of hostile neighbours. So it's just replacement we are working on in this point. To reach the sanctioned 42 squadrons for real, we need the 5th Gen fighters of MRFA and AMCA. 3. Engine : Here we would be having logistics burden again. Two American variants F404, F414 , one French variant M88 , two Russian variants Al31 and RD33. Now , if we select a fifth Gen fighter of foreign origin, which is not a Rafale variant , we are looking at another new engine to maintain - either Pratt Whitney or the Izdeliye 30. Hence , we are working on the Kaveri and trying to engineer many variants of it - which would be used on all our platforms in future. Either as replacements or on new platforms. Kaveri right now is going to get an afterburning section in a couple of years - which if successful would be powering second half of Tejas Mk1A. This projected 90 Kn afterburning Kaveri is aimed at replacing GE F404 and M88 units during mid life upgrades. The 90kn unit would be further worked on two get a 110 kn dry thrust variant for use on Mk2 and AMCA - which are slated to use the 116kn afterburning GE F414. But an engine whose dry thrust would be 110kn , would be producing 140kn on afterburners - making its thrust at par with the F22's P&W units. Meanwhile, there is nothing to fear from PRC - if you fly stealth in numbers at once , you would not be that stealthy anymore. So , not all numbers translates into effective offense in hostile situations . Especially, when there would be S400s on ground and Rafale in air to take potshots at incoming packages. We have to keep building our forces and support the administration which aims to indigenise all our platforms and induct them , quickly.
The only way to reach squadrons that are relevant by 2029 is to buy every serviceable retired Mirage 2000 and upgrade them in-house. Add a few MiG-29s as well. IAF needs no additional support infrastructure. For the interim select the Korean KF-21 stealth aircraft which is recently operational and similar to AMCA1. KAI could even help accelerate AMCA. F-35 may not be a real option as it will have too many strings attached.
Initial production of KF21 will use F414 engine. This is not a stealth compatible engine with super cruise capabilities and low IR signature. Only later interation of KF21 will have their home grown 5th Gen engine. If India place order now, they will only get the 4.5 Gen version of KF21 with F414 engine.

First Mirage 2000 were limited to 3 squadrons and now only two squadrons of Rafale. Seems there is something amiss when India goes for western technology. Jaguar being exception but has limited capability
What I understood from this podcast. 1. India has the strength and money. But they're not showing it. 2. Jet engine collaboration as soon as possible with whoever suits the best under PMO. 3. Make 2-3 variants of AMCA. One with foreign collaboration, one completely made in India. So, it'll be easier to fill the Gap. 4. Start procurement of all needed jets from France and USA. For present situation. Even if we start working on it today. We'll get it after 5 years at least so till 2030 we'll get it. 5 Tejas and Kaveri must be produce with utmost importance. But they should be built as finished products in India. We should start producing at least 24-36 jets in a year and it should be done under PMO. Then there will be no issues regarding funds allocation. 6. India has growing market and very large capital. We must use it to develop weapons in India on a large scale. Bring all the friendly foreign companies to build their labs or factories here so India could build the weapons here. Now with all these, may be India's reserved capital of 700 billions will get affected for next 2-3 years but now we have the market and things are going well for us. We should invest this money for our future.

Cost Implications of AMCA Failures Developing a twin-engine aircraft with the Kaveri engine as an intermediate step may seem costly at first, but it could save resources in the long run. If the AMCA suffers from significant engine failures or underperformance due to insufficient Kaveri testing, the IAF may face considerable additional costs for retrofitting, redesigning, or even replacing engine components post-production. Developing an intermediate Kaveri-powered platform could mitigate this risk and offer more budget stability by allowing incremental improvements based on real-world feedback. 4. Optimizing Production Timelines The IAF’s current strategy to jump directly to AMCA could face delays if the Kaveri engine reveals critical issues that need to be resolved, slowing down the entire timeline. An intermediate twin-engine project would allow India’s aerospace industry to parallelize development by addressing Kaveri’s limitations while continuing AMCA research. This way, both programs can progress with reduced dependency on each other’s schedules, leading to faster and more efficient advancements. 5. Strategic Independence and Self-Reliance Relying on the imported GE engines for Tejas aligns with India’s immediate defense needs but does little for self-reliance in critical areas like engine technology. Bypassing an intermediate twin-engine Kaveri-powered aircraft could mean that India’s indigenous engine development remains under-validated, undermining the long-term goal of self-reliant defense. By introducing a Kaveri-powered twin-engine platform, the IAF can demonstrate genuine strides in indigenous capabilities, increasing confidence in India’s ability to produce a fully indigenous AMCA down the line. Conclusion Directly advancing from the Tejas to the AMCA is an ambitious strategy, but it comes with significant risks that could impact the program’s success. Developing an intermediate twin-engine aircraft with Kaveri engines offers a phased approach, enabling essential real-world testing, reducing long-term costs, and aligning better with India’s goals of defense self-reliance. This intermediate step would allow the IAF to fully understand and refine Kaveri’s performance under twin-engine conditions, making it a more reliable option for a critical platform like the AMCA.

My 2 cents here, if we need to bring competitive advantage in India then start involving Private companies in the mix like US does the same. For e.g; let's say US Airforce need a particular type of aircraft they will invite the Best companies in the race like for e.g; Boeing, McDonnell Douglas or Lockheed Martin and they would share their specs along with initial funding for R&D to bring up the Prototype. Then Airforce would evaluate the Prototype of all companies and choose which one is the best fit for them and then that company will eventually win the deal for major production. Same thing needs to be incorporated here in India if we need to build Aircraft fast. We need to kill the Monopoly and start involving Private Companies that is the must and Govt shouldn't be too much worried thinking what opposition will say. Also, to plug the current Gap as the Respected Guest said we need to place order soon and buy ready made aircraft and what he suggested were perfect. Also few years back Sanjayji from The Jaipur Dialogues did a Podcast explaining the issues with Modern Fighter aircraft and that explains in detail why Western jets are the best. I mean the American Radar alone gives you the Power of God in Airforce terms to a Pilot. They can look out extremely far and the way they handle augmentation of instrumentation cluster is mind blowing. Also, we need not worry too much about the Chinese junk they call J20 or whatever that $h!t maybe, That aircraft hardly has any stealth characteristics, I mean there was a report that Indian Rafael was able to Detect J20 right from our territory. Also, their Jet Engines are all junk and rated for very poor performance. Americans jet engines are the best in the world, no wonder all over the world many companies who may build aircraft shells but they buy jet engines from American companies. Even our Tejas engines use American GE engines for the same reason. They use some Rare earth element and Crystal Blade tech to build the Fins of the Jet Turbines which does manage Heat dissipation very effectively, hence they run far longer than any other engines. Our Govt should work out a deal to procure 10 Squadron of F35 on a war footing front and probably the remaining squadrons of Rafael Soon. I mean on a war footing front, the order should have been placed like 5 years back.
I think we must commence developing anti stealth technologies. May be a suitable surveillance radar coupled with forward deployed SAM systems (along with guidance radars/ EO/ IR) which are network centred with surveillance radar (longer distance). Kind of a SAM trap. Just a thought...
India will eventually buy F-35 or SU-57 to compete with China, it doesn’t matter how bad JF-20 is, they have something we can’t even have for another 15 years and lot could happen with JF-20 in these 15 years, also they have the number advantage.
Lockheed is offering india F-21 which is most advanced verison of f-16, and also offered transfer of technology, but the americans havent offered india F-35 yet , while F-15 EX can be an export version for the india, These are only 3 options for the india. Sweden also offered SAAB GRIPER Electronic warfare version to the india as well which is 4.5++ generaitons aircraft.
Are you forgetting the South Korean Fighters that are much like the AMCA and also uses F414. They would do splendidly as stop gap for AMCA and much more economical. They would also be willing to make in India.
Major Gaurav - this problem of defence acquisition, especially fighter aircraft to maintain a reasonable air superiority in the region knowing the neighbors and their inventory has been an issue since just after independence. No nation in the world will ever give a full know-how of the aircraft engines. To expect that a nation will be eagerly waiting to receive a major order with the attached rider to share knowledge / manufacture in India is only deluding ourselves. We are in a panic situation now after knowing the preparedness of our adversary in the north but will be more prone to making mistakes that will impact us in the near future. We need to be always prepared for any country to ditch us at the time when we most need some critical parts/equipment for aircraft bought from them. A polite way would be telling us that they already have a huge backlog of orders from other countries while a more aggressive way would be through imposing sanctions. So what is the answer? The answer is keep developing in-house capability. It may take some time but with a determined effort and timelines this can be achieved. In the meantime with our existing strength in missile technology we need to take up on a war footing to develop ways to defend against 5th generation aircraft. Since 2022, the budget has been down to 1.9% and this 1.8% of gdp.. So even though in value terms, its almost 75-80Bn$, but in reality in gdp terms it has been reduced drastically… defense experts have shown alot of concern.. Even US at such big economy spends 3%, UK spending 3% too this year.. we have messed up bigtime..

I was a student in 2001, India Government started discussing MRCA of 128. My daughter in higher secondary now and all we could manage to get in these 23 years is 36 Rafales and a few sub standard LCA's. Some pav bhajji processes have been put by god knows who and no Government has been able to scrap the process. Armed Forces should have a dedicated budget and not allocation. Calculate GDP and Joint Military Command should have 4% of GDP. Just standard 4% and relay your purchases to Parliament for any course correction if need be after the purchase is made(not before). Let Armed forces decide what they want than these Dhotidhaari and Gutkha Chewing Politicians decide it in the parliament.
And that is why R&D is important

Sir I think the only solution to fast track the production of fighter jets we must use the unused potential of Private sector. Government must invite Private entities with funding and assured minimum order of fighter jets that can run assembly lines for atleast 15 years.And one more thing government must spend in R&D to develop critical technologies,as very critical technologies are never for sell.for example jet engines.

1- the concept is from late 80s where a west switched to light aircraft’s F16 and Mirage as ex. Tejas was visioned to replace Mig21 ( light aircraft) and was suppose to be similar to Mirage. The new projects are more focused on Medium and AMCA. It’s just we are too inefficient ( govt, armed forces and PSU )
2- When MMRCA was placed Rafale was the best available aircraft for IAF on certain grounds that is why it was chosen. Rafale by no means is outdated. It will keep getting upgraded. We actually planned 5th gen early with PAK-FA but then pulled out. I think pulling out of Su57 was a mistake. There are no other 5th gen fighters even today available to buy. So Rafale is good decision. Considering the overall picture I believe IAF should have ordered Gripen in 2015-16
3- I think all govt organizations are corrupt and in efficient. You don’t need a PM to make people on job to be responsible!
I even think IAF has actually failed. They don’t have a plan neither is there vision clear for next 10 years. Just saying we need 42 squadrons is not a professional plan that people will admire you for. I think Navy here does a lot better job.

Indian Air Fore- 90 Additional Rafale, Indian Navy- 24 F35B to be operated from IN Helicopter carriers in Indian Ocean. Rest focus on Indigenous program with Tejas MK1A, Tejas Mark2, AMCA(Project under PMO) with public private participation. Let Rafale and F35 be the last batch of foreign Aircraft we acquire. And our forces need to look themself as a single unit of defence. Whatever equipment we add is not just added to services but to Nation as whole. 3 forces worked very well jointly during galwan crisis. We had P-8I, Mig 29k deployed along with IAF assest. This jointness is the way forward.

Logistics for F35 maintanence are already complicated for the Nato partners, for India (specifically during conflict) it would be a liability. Also, US keeps control of all the data and communication links. I don't know why such simple things are not being mentioned.
India 🇮🇳 enters the F-35 deal to ensure America keeps a steady and disciplined supply of the GE-404/414 engines crucial for the Tejas programme. If America slackens or reneges....
It'll be interesting whether India enters a parallel deal with the Russians for the Su-75 5th gen. fighter plane.
India should add licenced production of 350 planes to further sweeten the deal.

I have some thoughts , analysing the whole defence procurement strategy since 2014.
1. MRFA / formerly MMRCA is waiting for something . Since 5th generation technology is one of its criteria now - we are looking at flight of Rafale F5 and the Su75 . The French plane which would be an active semi stealth fighter jet would fly in its latest variant in 2027- the same year when the Su75 is slotted to take to the skies. Both Dassault and Sukhoi plan to build assembly lines within India if their equipment is selected. Dassault already has a factory in Nasik, meanwhile Russia is looking for avenues to invest Rupees in - where the Sukhoi can have plants that supply commercial orders of their fighters. 100 pcs of the said platform would be taken up.
Right now, the problem with Rafale is that they have a long list of customers who already ordered the F4 variants and only after those had been supplied in full could the new variant be made - however if India is willing to avail 100 units, the Nasik plant would be used calling for components import from France. Su75 onnthe other hand is a new plane and all that would be imported would be the engine and airframe - because the rest of it , avionics, EW suite, radar and many critical components would be indigenous. We know that the Su30mki Super Sukhoi upgrade would be fully indigenous.
2. Tejas Mk1A would be reinforcing the decommissioned MiG21 Bison squadrons.
Su30mkis have already fully replaced the MiG23/25/27 squadrons .
Tejas Mk2 would be replacing the Mirage 2000, MiG29 and Sepecat Jaguars - all whose life had been extended for another 20 years. But all are 4th Gen fighter jets, numbering 120 would be rivaling the J10C and F16 of hostile neighbours.
So it's just replacement we are working on in this point. To reach the sanctioned 42 squadrons for real, we need the 5th Gen fighters of MRFA and AMCA.
3. Engine : Here we would be having logistics burden again.
Two American variants F404, F414 , one French variant M88 , two Russian variants Al31 and RD33. Now , if we select a fifth Gen fighter of foreign origin, which is not a Rafale variant , we are looking at another new engine to maintain - either Pratt Whitney or the Izdeliye 30.
Hence , we are working on the Kaveri and trying to engineer many variants of it - which would be used on all our platforms in future. Either as replacements or on new platforms. Kaveri right now is going to get an afterburning section in a couple of years - which if successful would be powering second half of Tejas Mk1A. This projected 90 Kn afterburning Kaveri is aimed at replacing GE F404 and M88 units during mid life upgrades.
The 90kn unit would be further worked on two get a 110 kn dry thrust variant for use on Mk2 and AMCA - which are slated to use the 116kn afterburning GE F414.
But an engine whose dry thrust would be 110kn , would be producing 140kn on afterburners - making its thrust at par with the F22's P&W units.
Meanwhile, there is nothing to fear from PRC - if you fly stealth in numbers at once , you would not be that stealthy anymore.
So , not all numbers translates into effective offense in hostile situations . Especially, when there would be S400s on ground and Rafale in air to take potshots at incoming packages.
We have to keep building our forces and support the administration which aims to indigenise all our platforms and induct them , quickly.
India has a problem with manufacturing execution. There has to be a private sector alternative to HAL.

The only way to reach squadrons that are relevant by 2029 is to buy every serviceable retired Mirage 2000 and upgrade them in-house. Add a few MiG-29s as well. IAF needs no additional support infrastructure.
For the interim select the Korean KF-21 stealth aircraft which is recently operational and similar to AMCA1. KAI could even help accelerate AMCA.
F-35 may not be a real option as it will have too many strings attached.

Initial production of KF21 will use F414 engine. This is not a stealth compatible engine with super cruise capabilities and low IR signature.
Only later interation of KF21 will have their home grown 5th Gen engine.
If India place order now, they will only get the 4.5 Gen version of KF21 with F414 engine.

First Mirage 2000 were limited to 3 squadrons and now only two squadrons of Rafale. Seems there is something amiss when India goes for western technology. Jaguar being exception but has limited capability
What I understood from this podcast.
1. India has the strength and money. But they're not showing it.
2. Jet engine collaboration as soon as possible with whoever suits the best under PMO.
3. Make 2-3 variants of AMCA. One with foreign collaboration, one completely made in India. So, it'll be easier to fill the Gap.
4. Start procurement of all needed jets from France and USA. For present situation. Even if we start working on it today. We'll get it after 5 years at least so till 2030 we'll get it.
5 Tejas and Kaveri must be produce with utmost importance. But they should be built as finished products in India. We should start producing at least 24-36 jets in a year and it should be done under PMO. Then there will be no issues regarding funds allocation.
6. India has growing market and very large capital. We must use it to develop weapons in India on a large scale. Bring all the friendly foreign companies to build their labs or factories here so India could build the weapons here.
Now with all these, may be India's reserved capital of 700 billions will get affected for next 2-3 years but now we have the market and things are going well for us. We should invest this money for our future.

Also few years back Sanjayji from The Jaipur Dialogues did a Podcast explaining the issues with Modern Fighter aircraft and that explains in detail why Western jets are the best. I mean the American Radar alone gives you the Power of God in Airforce terms to a Pilot. They can look out extremely far and the way they handle augmentation of instrumentation cluster is mind blowing. Also, we need not worry too much about the Chinese junk they call J20 or whatever that $h!t maybe, That aircraft hardly has any stealth characteristics, I mean there was a report that Indian Rafael was able to Detect J20 right from our territory. Also, their Jet Engines are all junk and rated for very poor performance. Americans jet engines are the best in the world, no wonder all over the world many companies who may build aircraft shells but they buy jet engines from American companies. Even our Tejas engines use American GE engines for the same reason. They use some Rare earth element and Crystal Blade tech to build the Fins of the Jet Turbines which does manage Heat dissipation very effectively, hence they run far longer than any other engines. Our Govt should work out a deal to procure 10 Squadron of F35 on a war footing front and probably the remaining squadrons of Rafael Soon. I mean on a war footing front, the order should have been placed like 5 years back.

I think we must commence developing anti stealth technologies. May be a suitable surveillance radar coupled with forward deployed SAM systems (along with guidance radars/ EO/ IR) which are network centred with surveillance radar (longer distance). Kind of a SAM trap. Just a thought...
India will eventually buy F-35 or SU-57 to compete with China, it doesn’t matter how bad JF-20 is, they have something we can’t even have for another 15 years and lot could happen with JF-20 in these 15 years, also they have the number advantage.
Instead of aircrafts focus on stealthy drones
Lockheed is offering india F-21 which is most advanced verison of f-16, and also offered transfer of technology, but the americans havent offered india F-35 yet , while F-15 EX can be an export version for the india, These are only 3 options for the india. Sweden also offered SAAB GRIPER Electronic warfare version to the india as well which is 4.5++ generaitons aircraft.
We are developing tejas mk2 for f16 which are similar.
For F15ex we are upgrading Su 30mki to Super Sukhoi which are similar

Are you forgetting the South Korean Fighters that are much like the AMCA and also uses F414. They would do splendidly as stop gap for AMCA and much more economical. They would also be willing to make in India.

Major Gaurav - this problem of defence acquisition, especially fighter aircraft to maintain a reasonable air superiority in the region knowing the neighbors and their inventory has been an issue since just after independence. No nation in the world will ever give a full know-how of the aircraft engines. To expect that a nation will be eagerly waiting to receive a major order with the attached rider to share knowledge / manufacture in India is only deluding ourselves. We are in a panic situation now after knowing the preparedness of our adversary in the north but will be more prone to making mistakes that will impact us in the near future. We need to be always prepared for any country to ditch us at the time when we most need some critical parts/equipment for aircraft bought from them. A polite way would be telling us that they already have a huge backlog of orders from other countries while a more aggressive way would be through imposing sanctions. So what is the answer? The answer is keep developing in-house capability. It may take some time but with a determined effort and timelines this can be achieved. In the meantime with our existing strength in missile technology we need to take up on a war footing to develop ways to defend against 5th generation aircraft. This will also be cost effective while we arm the squadrons with aircraft having current capabilities but better fire power. A suggestion on similar lines is what needs to be looked at instead of just trying to look for a few aircraft which will take a lot of time to acquire and make them operational.

Since 2000s, India consistently spent 2.5-3% of GDP on defense..
Since 2022, the budget has been down to 1.9% and this 1.8% of gdp..
So even though in value terms, its almost 75-80Bn$, but in reality in gdp terms it has been reduced drastically… defense experts have shown alot of concern.. Even US at such big economy spends 3%, UK spending 3% too this year.. we have messed up bigtime..

Sir, Russia didn't induct or make Su 30 SM until we decided to induct 272 Su 30 MKI's.
We now have zero trust in usa and its policies, so zero reliability regarding supplies and independent functionality & support.
Rather, in recent times, the finish of Su 57 has been impressive and so have it's capabilities.
P.S.:- FGFA was twin seater, PAK-FA was never meant to be twin seater, FGFA was supposed to have 43 improvements over PAK-FA, both were different apart from having certain similarities in airframe & engine wise.
