Fathers : The Unsung Heroes |

Behind every success and failure, every achievement and accolade, there are regrets that can be hard to forget and let go. One of my greatest regrets is not apologizing to my father before he passed away.
Despite being a monk with nearly three decades of spiritual practice, I still have regrets.
Spirituality doesn't turn a person into a stoic, emotionless being.
On the contrary, it heightens our sensitivity and awareness of our feelings and emotions. It encourages us to take responsibility for our actions, rectify our wrongdoings, learn from our mistakes, and strive not to repeat them.
Spiritual practice doesn't eliminate regrets; it equips us to process them and transform that negative energy into something uplifting.
I will never forget what I did to my father, nor do I want to.
By God's grace and my father's blessings, I am grateful to have been able to process my regret and find the courage to share it publicly.
My humble appeal to you all is to nurture your relationships in a way that leaves no room for regrets.
So, what are you waiting for?
Apologise to your dad, mom, or anyone who deserves it.
Express your appreciation and gratitude for your dad's role in your life.
Give him a tight hug, get him a thoughtful gift, and make him feel special.
For those of us who have lost our fathers, let's offer a silent prayer filled with gratitude and love.
Wishing all fathers a very Happy Father's Day.
