Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching you create those stunning and gorgeous project’s. Absolutely amazing and awesome too. I will be looking for those micro beads, they’re really gorgeous too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤️❤️❤️
Good morning nina, you kicked off my sunday as usual. As you understand I loved the shakerpiece with Frida...in my Fridajournal there is still room for little cards and I think I will make me a shakercard to add to it. The winelabel was beautuful. This sunday will be filled with watching the olympics, a walk in the sun, making soup and painting a mandala. I wish you a very nice sunday and a good week. Love and hugs lenaxxx
Good morning Lena. I think the shaker cards are so much fun. Glad you have room for one in your Frida journal. The weather is horrible here today. It’s tipping it down with rain and it’s windy too. My turn for a pyjama day I think haha! Enjoy your Sunday, love and hugs, Nina 💕 xxx
These are all super pages Nina, so hard to pick a favorite, but I love your adorable shaker made with seed beads. I have lots of seed beads, never thought of putting them in a shaker, will have to try soon. I just worked 3 midnight shifts in a row and my body clock is confused, so after playing with a couple of scrap pages, a visit with Mom (doing better but still in pain with fractured C2) I have a feeling I will be napping. I hope you have a wonderful day and look forward to a mid week mini.❣
Good morning Debbie. Glad to hear your Mom is doing a little better. You must be absolutely shattered working 3 midnight shifts. You deserve a nice long rest. Hope you have a quieter week ahead. Hugs 💕 xxxx
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia Hi Debbie. Wow isn't 3 midnights in a row killer? I was required to do some MN every month, but mainly worked day shift. Do you always do midnights, or do you change during the month? No matter how I prepared right before that difficult to stay awake shift came along (and it was always 3 days in a row of 12 hour shifts), I never could get proper sleep either before or during those shifts. I even tried Benadryl to no avail. I hope you get rested up in the next few days. XOXOJane
Love Sunday morning coffee and watching the new inspiring videos! All of your projects are so perfectly coordinated and executed, I would be hard pressed for a favourite but, I think Frida shaker is gorgeous! My mind is swirling again!😄💕🇨🇦
Wow, wow, wow! I can't pick a favorite - they are all fantastic! I bought micro beads a few years ago so will have to hunt for them. LOVE how easily you make the shakers! Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day. Janet 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia Yes, I can see that this is a very neat way of doing it and it doesn't matter which die cut shape you choose since you're not having to bend the foam around the shape. Great idea! Janet💕
I do love waking up and making my coffee and sitting down with a biscuit as you would say (we call them cookies) and watching these lovely videos! A perfect start to my day! Love the shaker cards! I had never seen them made before! All the pages you did are lovely. I hope to find some pretty wine labels! I never thought about using them. I wish I could get started right away on my project for this week, but in the USA it's Super Bowl Sunday! I'm hosting and I have a lot of cooking to do, but hopefully after the game I can sit down and at least pick out some pretties to start with. Happy Sunday Nina!
Good morning Alicia, I hope you had a great day yesterday and the best team won! I have been collecting wine labels for a while now, but I want to try waxing them as the one Pam sent me is just so pretty. It’s ridiculous, because I tend to choose wine now purely based on the label haha! Look forward to seeing what you come up for this weeks challenge. Happy Creating 💕
Beautiful pages! My favorite is the little purple Love shaker. Just darling! Always appreciate when you use something that you have created like the heart bokeh background.
Beautifully done as ever Nina and I must confess I’d never have thought of shaker cards in a journal in a month or Sundays! Both you and Kylie are so inspirational, we are very lucky xxx
Some gorgeous journal pages Nina , now how can we pick the best one 😆,, as they are all gorgeous, but if I had to pick I’ll go with the Freda one as I love the pictures of her ,,,. Xxxx 💗🌹❤️🌷
This shaker is so much simpler to assemble than using foam for dimension. I think I’d like that the sides are solid and not wonky with bits of foam. I’ve made my journal per your instructions. I used twine because it looked pretty but when I went to work on the pages the twine doesn’t have give so the pages were difficult to slide in and out. Lesson learned 🤪 I cut off the twine and replaced it with elastic. From now on I’ll use elastic and pretty the spine up another way. You are brilliant and awesome🥰 I love watching you create beautiful pages. I also enjoy hearing your accent as you speak. You are quite an inspiration. I’ve made several journals using your tutorial.
Thanks so much for your sweet comment Abbie. I really like the twine binding on my Use Your Scraps journal, but now it’s starting to fill up, I am also finding the pages harder to get in and out. Elastic is definitely easier isn’t it. I prefer the shakers like this too. I have tried it with dimensional tape in the past, but I don’t like how it looks from the side. I hope you’ll give this method a try. Have a fabulous weekend 💕 xo
Wow, you are on fire with this new journal Nina, I must have missed the notification of your tag, will have to check that out. All your pages are adorable. Tfs xo
Loved this! You asked us to say which project in this video we liked best. I loved them all, but I guess, being a fan of Frida Kahlo, I should pick that shaker card as my fave. The colorways are perfect!
I've been wanting to learn a shaker technique so I'm glad I found this episode of use your scraps!! Love the idea of using wine lables too. I've seen you do that before.
Hi Nina, Your pages came out beautifully and I love each of them. I have seen those microbeads in stores on ready made items, but for some silly reason I didn't think I could buy them??🥴 I already have the coin holders (after watching you first use of them, Thank you, and I took a most delicate dead wild flower that turned red in Autumn. Then I got out a little coin holder and gently laid it upon that, then sprinkled a bit of pretty glitter inside the coin holder and glued it shut. It is so adorable and that way preserves it too. Now, I didn't think of stamping the coin holder with a script or type stamp and I love that look. So I'll be going thru my background or otherwise stamps to try that too only I'm going to very lightly ink my holder first with perhaps shabby shutters and around the outside too with vintage photo. Thanks for your lovely tips and ideas, I take most of your tips in all videos to heart as I have loved so many, and even write them all down in my video journal. I even have beeswax and a glue warmer to try encaustics as you did-haha. You help me so much with different ideas. So much Fun. Your creativeness is boundless. XOXOJANE
Thank you so much for your kind words Jane. It’s lovely to hear that you have tried so many of the techniques and write them down for the future. I stamped some of my coin holders with versamark ink and added gold embossing powder for one of my projects and that looked gorgeous too. I will have another stab at encaustic soon. Have a wonderful and creative week ❤️ xoxo
This lovely Nina, and I love the colours. I bought an old 2nd hand Manuel Singer sewing machine in 2019, and I still haven't used it!!! The trouble I have, is not knowing how to thread it up, and have no-one to guide me. I will do it eventually by watching a tutorial. I really want to use it because it adds a professional and lovely touch/finish to things doesn't it. Thank you for your brilliant tutorials, you are very clever. Take care, and have a great week ahead. xx
That was my problem too. I had a phobia of threading it up and changing the bobbin. The sewing machine I have has a great tutorial on RUclips which I have watched dozens of times, and I can now thread up and change the bobbin without having to watch it. It’s taken two years though for the method to finally stick in my head and for me not to be fearful of the process. I do hope you will find a good tutorial for your machine so you can start using it as it really does add a lovely touch to your projects. Have a wonderful week 💕 xx
