Despite his raw skill, the journey he had to take to get where he is has been very humbling. To overcome the adversity and having to wear the choke label for so long is really a testament to that the he is as much a brawler as he is a star.
Don't mistake that take no prisoners attitude behind that moviestar smile.

the only true goat of csgo, no player will ever be as consistently amazing as device. the best player on the best team in the world is far more valuable than someone like s1mple, who may be more mechanically skilled but can not play in a system where he is not free to do what he wants
Thats a SUPER ignorant statement. Device is a great player with plenty of success, but GOAT means GREATEST of all time, not most successful. Simple is the GOAT of cs and it isnt close.

Simple might be the best mechanically skilled player, but Counter Strike is a highly team based game with the objective of winning rounds, and not to get +30 kills in each game. In my opinion Simple lack teamwork skills, which is a vital skill. Device on the other hand is a great teamplayer and a top aimer, making him the greatest player, and not just the player with the highest ADR.
simple has been on many teams who werent based around him and hes had similar success and navi is a genuine competitor now

@@niko1ndex I think all of Astralis' main GOAT core are only like 24 besides dupreeh whos a bit older. The team is surprisingly young when you consider how old the stars on the other teams of the time are now (Olof, Shox, Forest)
@@HITMANDELUXE99 Its crazy to think that they were expected to win tournaments and be top 3 back in 2015. They had a average age og 19 i think. Isnt that insane? I remember Thorin said back in 2015 that Dev1ce was the best player in the world for a short period

Device is one of the best players of all times. Hes not just about raw skill and mechanical aim. Ill say shroud and s1mple have better " raw skill " than device but he's consistently performing on the big stage, and has won 4 majors so far. No one else has done this except Astralis'
Shroud lmao, yeah maybe he has a good aim in pugs, but we all seen him at events and how that went. Dont put Simple and Shroud in the same box lol.

Yeah he had some good games vs some decent teams, but he was never a crazy player. I can come up with alot of players that had raw aim like him.

Astralis being my favorite team I may have some biased opinions, but overall in terms of greatest player of all time; device definitely has a say in it. If we were talking best player of all time it’s hands down S1mple. There’s been no player even close to touch the skill of S1mple except maybe Zywoo. But he’s still very early in his career. Device has the backstory, accolades, personality, demeanor, everything the greatest of all time player needs. I love my team🙌🏻
Mechanically I barely place him in the top 10 ever (which is still insane levels of skill) but when it comes to results he is the GOAT no questions asked

He was never the choke artist. The team was, he was always consistent and he never had a bad game.
thats not true. he was a choker up until 2016 where he hardcarried his team when they were under karrigan. in 2015 it was reduced, but in 2016 it became impossible for him to choke.

hey man, love the video, but sometimes I find the commentators in the demo clips to be too loud compared to your softer voice - I have to readjust my volume whenever it's a clip with commentators. maybe turn yourself up or turn them down?
Good video, although I don't think that KD ratio is a good way to analyze a player's performance. Not that it doesn't mean anything, but CS is about much more than a player's KD ratio.
dev1ce is highly disrespected by the cs community. Sure he's always ranked high by HLTV but there's always a flood of negative comments towards him. HE is the 2nd best CSGO player of all time. Behind s1mple.

Fahad Waqar he still won 5 events in 2015 and bagged 4 MVP awards. Losing in playoffs to teams with much more experience in the biggest events shouldn’t be equated with being a choke artist... those teams had good reads against TSM back in the days and device’s efficiency was limited. That isn’t choke artistry at all; it’s tremendous preparation on part of the other teams
