  • The Making of NiKo w/ BLAST Premier. NiKo is one of the best CSGO players in the world, and is also regarded as the best player never to win a CS Major. NiKo once played for Mousesports, and after leaving Mouz he joined FaZe Clan where he had a heart-breaking time at the Boston Major. Now he is the star player for G2 Esports CSGO.
In this CSGO NiKo documentary, the rifler talks about his regrets from FaZe, why NiKo hasn't won a Major, playing with his cousin huNter- and how he thinks he stacks up against the best Counter-Strike players of all time such as s1mple and ZywOo.

He’s already made it. He gets paid insane amounts of money and he lives life to the fullest. He’s also a 4 year old emotionally. Niko will never be on a major winning team and that’s a fact. He’s spoiled, he thinks he knows how a team should work because he knows how to click mouse and dodge flash. Every single team he’s on falls apart outside the server without exception. He’s toxic, he’s cancer, he’s goated, he’s Niko. Nuff said.

I think many haters just do not realise how good this guy really is. The Stocholm preformances out of NiKo and entire 2nd part of 2021 was just unreal. Something we have never seen before, and something we will most likley never see ever again. The best rifler preformances in history, out of the all time greatest player who never touched the AWP. People are saying how NiKo is out of form, expecting him to repeat his Stocholm preformances. Well guys that is impossible, those preformances, those plays, are just impossible to replicate. NiKo is "underpreforming" this season but yet he is 2nd best rated player with 1.20 average rating, after S1mple's unreal 1.30 ratibg, ye even above Zywoo who has like 1.19 or so ... So if beeing 2nd highest rated preformer in 2022 is underprefoming for many, that is just how good he truley is. I am glad he changed mentalitt as well, and is not chacing that major, not tilting about not having one, glad he is aware his time will come sooner or later, and when he really deserves it, he'll get it. Other thing they blame him for kikcing Aleksi, while the fact is Aleksi was just ass player for that lvl. He was just not good enoug caller nor player for that high lvl, I am sure NiKo has nothing to do with that, Aleksi was kicked for a very realistic reasons(it was needed and deserved), and it was not NiKo's fault I am so sertian of it. So stop hateing this guy, he didn't deserve it. Fuck off already. Full support for NiKo ...

There's such a big contrast between karrigan and niko mentality in the way they approach failures.
Karrigan straight up said that the Boston major was so bullshit he didn't even bother watching it, theres nothing to learn there. He view failures as a process leading to success, he can let it all go and start fresh, and he did it many times with different rosters. It shows in the way faze shrugging off weird round losses then proceed to beat the shit out of other teams.
Meanwhile niko is still haunted by that major and all the things he may or may not did wrong leading to all his losses. Being haunted over and over again by mistakes cant be healthy, its a miracle he can still ranked 3rd in the world with a mindset like that. Dude really need to chill out a bit instead of pushing himself to the brink of collapse in important matches.

Twitszz mentioned, NiKo performance has dropped, this was probably due to him giving much of his own space for m0NESY. If g2 want to win a major with current core roster, they need more time. • @unsungheroes8556

its because twistzz sacrificed so much also. faze has that triple threat with broky ropz and twistzz, so twistzz accepted the flex rifler. he can do from entry to support. niko needs to do the same. he has talent and aim i will never say hes bad at those. but his ego and he likes to do things his way thats why.. i dont hate nik0 as a person. but as a player. he puts monesy in bad situations and it throws away rounds for g2 because the burden monesy carrying if niko dies
sometimes by ego peeking. just for example the infamous twistzz 4k at mirage b site. 4v2 and they werent supposed to win but nik0 ego peeked and died.

NiKo’s answer at 9:33 is actually very indicative of his problem. He believes that people stopped talking shit about s1mple because he cemented himself as possibly the GOAT/won a major. And while that may be true, s1mple also changed a lot, with the help of people like b1ad3 and time itself as he grew, but he also genuinely learned to be a team-centered, more calm, understanding, and mature person along the way. Which ultimately led to the change in public perception of s1mple along with his accolades. As for dev1ce, what he did deserved the criticism and shift in perception of his person. I think what his answer shows is a clear lack of understanding of what issues and challenges he is facing as a player and ultimately the de facto leader(leader doesn’t necessitate being the igl, look at Navi) of his team.
Frankly I really hope NiKo overcomes his problems because it would truly be a crime if he doesn’t have a major title under his belt when it’s all said and done. He’s an extremely talented guy, who seems to be a genuine person. I wish nothing but the absolute best for him in his future, but he will end up with what he deserves. What he *deserves* is up to him prove.

I agree, what he said was quite misleading. He said that as if s1mple was being talked shit for not winning the major but the majority of the criticism came from his toxic behavior in the past. The CS community has already agreed upon the fact that he is the goat. The present s1mple is totally a splitting image from his past self and you can see how much he has grown as a player. If you tell someone who is new to the CS scene that s1mple was once one of the most toxic players, they'd be in awe. NiKo on the contrary, despite being one of the best players to ever touch the game, still goes into full tilt mode. Just look at the Katowice final against FaZe. He needs to calm his horses and starts being a leader.

Imo and yes idk him at all but from watching him for so long I can 👀 he's not fully playing as a Team. As far as winning goes idk maybe try to change up your thinking tactics and evolve with your team instead of always thinking you're better & higher up then they are. Besides raw mechanics & aim your nothing without Team play. And yes something else is wrong it couldn't have been all the igl's faults that he played with no way I like niko but imo he just doesn't know how to be apart of a Team once that leaps taken everyone will shut up its in his hands

It's crazy to see this psuedo-science being parroted as fact all over the scene. The truth is no one knows yet, but based on other sports, guys like s1mple and niko should be able to play into their thirties. The only players who have even come close to Niko's aim are twistzz and b1t. It's not like we have a new batch of aimers who are even magically better than Niko and are going to put him to shame. Travis Pastrana is one of my favorite people and he's 38 still pushing things to the limit despite breaking every bone in his body. Different sports have different life expectancies and we simply don't know what Counter Strike's is.
