I use essential oils and water to spray my house (an older 1960's house). It makes my home smell like Christmas or flowers or herbs all the time. But, it works.
Idk how well it works but I saw on an Instagram account that getting Irish spring soap and shredding it and throw it or smudge it in places where there might be bugs and it repels it.
Looks really nice!! I’m a firm believer.. the living space we provide our children… helps them perform better in school. Protects their mental health. Also trains and prepares them for when they branch off into the ADULT WORLD 🌎. I love this sweetheart..
Hello there from California! Thank you for giving us a tour of your home. I myself was a single mom of 3 kids, 5 and under at the time and I also lived in an income based townhouse in a very rough, ghetto neighborhood. But let me tell you I kept to myself minded my own business and asked the Lord for protection and He kept me and my children safe!! The inside of my home was not a reflection of the outside, it was clean and I made it home! Just cause you live in the hood doesn’t mean your house has to look like you do. I worked hard and saved and the Lord helped me to be able to buy a home in a safe quiet neighborhood, with good schools, just as my son got in Jr high, away from the nonsense. I know things can happen anywhere but God has truly been good!! Watching this brings back so many memories, down to the stairwell closet. What you have done with your home is amazing! It’s clean and cozy!

I just moved to the projects, 2 bedroom. I waited 7 years. It's quiet, clean. I love it. Only 2 bathroom. My mom always, "You can live anywhere, As long as you keep it clean.
@Indy-xj7qt rent shitty, overpriced 1 bedroom apartments for me and my 2 kids. Have $0 after I paid the rent. Now I'm happy. I'm proud of my apartment and the area I live in. It may be public housing but believe you me, no noise, no crime, The maintenance people are quick to come to fix a problem. No judgment. Great neighbors. And I've yet to see unfortunate addicts walking by. And camaras everywhere. I'll be here for a loooonnnnggg time.
This is NICE!! It's the first time I see a two-story apartment, with a front and back door, not to mention a nice back porch.. in of all places... the projects!! IT'S BEAUTIFUL!! I grew up in the projects in the South Bronx back in the 70s and 80s. It was nice back then, but I wish it had been like this, this is more like a house. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Hiiii Baby Girl!!? YOU ARE A GOOD WOMAN!!! Doesn’t matter where you live, YOUR HOUSE IS YOUR HOME. It’s nice and clean and beautiful decor!!!! Buy some wet and forget or outside bleach and clean the patio off. Put you some chairs and a few Dollar Tree pots with a few plants from Walmart. I looooove DT too! You might start a trend in your neighborhood of fixing up the patios. I lived in a lil 650 square foot home with 2 kids. Kept working hard, being faithful to Jesus and moving up. I went from a lil house that the drunks sat on our front porch at night to a 6,0000 square foot home. Now in my late 50’s I’m in a 1300 sq ft home that is paid for. Enjoy where you are and keep looking forward to. God will do AMAZING things for YOU. Would the property managers allow you to put up a temporary type privacy screen? Something you could use to secure your patio decor, while being able to remove easily when you move?? I’ve never lived in an apt., but our oldest does & I understand there isn’t a lot of things they’ll allow, but 🤞🏻maybe if it’s not something permanent-permanent?? If not, maybe you can find one of those Rubbermaid storage sheds to store your patio stuff in that can be padlocked?? That patio & view is to nice to not be enjoyed whenever you want!! The green grass, the birds chirping & the rain was just perfect!! I love the outside & those sounds!!! ❤️☺️

That’s why😂 back in the day when state HUD visited, the manager would take them to certain apartments. Five years no problem. But then new inspectors, and it was like five wanted to see all the apartments. A lot of apartments were outdated. They improved the project a lot.

When you started to explain how you stay to yourself, you gained a thumbs up and a subscriber. Those concrete block walls remind me of the projects I grew up in back in the 70s. Your place is lovely. We never had enough money to make our place look nice. I remember once my mom took me to a neighbor's apartment (which was extremely rare because my stepfather didn't allow us to socialize with neighbors), I could not believe how nice their apartment was furnished compared to ours. It was very nice to see your little son safe and happy in his room.

I always wondered why the projects like you live in consider it apartments when you have an upstairs and downstairs. I always considered it a title town house. In NYC out PJs look nothing like these with upstairs and private entrance. I wish they were. However you made your space very nice. I grew up low income and we lived in some ROUGH apartments but my mama would clean it right up and made it a home. I’m a firm believer that the quality of a home comes from the love and peace within it. You could be living in a million dollar home and it be cold and miserable inside. Where ever we live, I make it a home. My fiancé and I busted our butts and now have a paid off house in the country. It was ROUGH when we bought it. Had literal holes in the walls, leaky roof, and dirt floors in some of the rooms. We have been renovating it for the last 4 years. Even though it looks so much better and is a safe space now, it’s always felt like home to us. Your space is beautiful and you can tell you value and love your family and home. ❤

I was born and raised in the projects. Then we moved. When I became an adult I moved back for 10 long years. I signed up for section 8 (yes you can do that in some states) I received section 8 and moved into a new construction apartment. ❤ it! After 12 mo, I got in the section 8 homeowners program and now I own my own home. I only make about 38k and section contribute to my mortgage for 15 years or until I make over 45k good luck on your journey

When I was in my 20’s (I’m 49 now) I lived in low income housing with my 2 kids at that time. I was proud of my 3 bedroom townhome, I always kept it clean. I got a lot of compliments on my decor. I worked full time and it was a good feeling ❤
Very nice apartment tour. I love it. I like what you said about your bedroom furniture. I like the fact that you have your own style and it’s not the typical modern glam that a lot of people are doing. It shows character and individuality. For the bugs get you some Boric Acid and sprinkle it behind everything including the stove, fridge, your washer and dryer. Behind your couch and in all cabinets and drawers. They will take it back to the nest. I promise it will work. Also put outside yours doors if its the big Palmetto bugs that try to come in. I’m like you. I don’t sleep in no dark house.

I currently pay1650 for rent and I am living pay check to pay check. I just recently applied for affordable housing and am praying I get approved! 850 for a 3 bedroom instead of 1650 for 1 bedroom!

It took me a while, but last month I just purchased a brand new, never lived in townhome in a new masterplan community, with resort-like amenities! 🎉 Never saw it coming, didn't even know I had access to it, but it was one of the best feelings ever! Combat roach gel is awesome. my old neighbor bombed and they came to my house, i used it and literally days later, i didn't see one. Please try it
I use essential oils and water to spray my house (an older 1960's house). It makes my home smell like Christmas or flowers or herbs all the time. But, it works.
No they are not inevitable, their are poisons out now to keep them away from your home completely, look it up!
Idk how well it works but I saw on an Instagram account that getting Irish spring soap and shredding it and throw it or smudge it in places where there might be bugs and it repels it.

Hello there from California! Thank you for giving us a tour of your home. I myself was a single mom of 3 kids, 5 and under at the time and I also lived in an income based townhouse in a very rough, ghetto neighborhood. But let me tell you I kept to myself minded my own business and asked the Lord for protection and He kept me and my children safe!! The inside of my home was not a reflection of the outside, it was clean and I made it home! Just cause you live in the hood doesn’t mean your house has to look like you do. I worked hard and saved and the Lord helped me to be able to buy a home in a safe quiet neighborhood, with good schools, just as my son got in Jr high, away from the nonsense. I know things can happen anywhere but God has truly been good!! Watching this brings back so many memories, down to the stairwell closet. What you have done with your home is amazing! It’s clean and cozy!

@Indy-xj7qt rent shitty, overpriced 1 bedroom apartments for me and my 2 kids. Have $0 after I paid the rent. Now I'm happy. I'm proud of my apartment and the area I live in. It may be public housing but believe you me, no noise, no crime, The maintenance people are quick to come to fix a problem. No judgment. Great neighbors. And I've yet to see unfortunate addicts walking by. And camaras everywhere. I'll be here for a loooonnnnggg time.

Hiiii Baby Girl!!? YOU ARE A GOOD WOMAN!!! Doesn’t matter where you live, YOUR HOUSE IS YOUR HOME. It’s nice and clean and beautiful decor!!!! Buy some wet and forget or outside bleach and clean the patio off. Put you some chairs and a few Dollar Tree pots with a few plants from Walmart. I looooove DT too! You might start a trend in your neighborhood of fixing up the patios. I lived in a lil 650 square foot home with 2 kids. Kept working hard, being faithful to Jesus and moving up. I went from a lil house that the drunks sat on our front porch at night to a 6,0000 square foot home. Now in my late 50’s I’m in a 1300 sq ft home that is paid for. Enjoy where you are and keep looking forward to. God will do AMAZING things for YOU. Would the property managers allow you to put up a temporary type privacy screen? Something you could use to secure your patio decor, while being able to remove easily when you move?? I’ve never lived in an apt., but our oldest does & I understand there isn’t a lot of things they’ll allow, but 🤞🏻maybe if it’s not something permanent-permanent?? If not, maybe you can find one of those Rubbermaid storage sheds to store your patio stuff in that can be padlocked?? That patio & view is to nice to not be enjoyed whenever you want!! The green grass, the birds chirping & the rain was just perfect!! I love the outside & those sounds!!! ❤️☺️

That’s why😂 back in the day when state HUD visited, the manager would take them to certain apartments. Five years no problem. But then new inspectors, and it was like five wanted to see all the apartments. A lot of apartments were outdated. They improved the project a lot.

When you started to explain how you stay to yourself, you gained a thumbs up and a subscriber. Those concrete block walls remind me of the projects I grew up in back in the 70s. Your place is lovely. We never had enough money to make our place look nice. I remember once my mom took me to a neighbor's apartment (which was extremely rare because my stepfather didn't allow us to socialize with neighbors), I could not believe how nice their apartment was furnished compared to ours. It was very nice to see your little son safe and happy in his room.

I always wondered why the projects like you live in consider it apartments when you have an upstairs and downstairs. I always considered it a title town house. In NYC out PJs look nothing like these with upstairs and private entrance. I wish they were. However you made your space very nice. I grew up low income and we lived in some ROUGH apartments but my mama would clean it right up and made it a home. I’m a firm believer that the quality of a home comes from the love and peace within it. You could be living in a million dollar home and it be cold and miserable inside. Where ever we live, I make it a home. My fiancé and I busted our butts and now have a paid off house in the country. It was ROUGH when we bought it. Had literal holes in the walls, leaky roof, and dirt floors in some of the rooms. We have been renovating it for the last 4 years. Even though it looks so much better and is a safe space now, it’s always felt like home to us. Your space is beautiful and you can tell you value and love your family and home. ❤

On my patio I take a lityle folding table like a tv tray with legs & I sit out & read & sit my ice tea or coffee on that then I can bring it in ! I was born and raised in the projects. Then we moved. When I became an adult I moved back for 10 long years. I signed up for section 8 (yes you can do that in some states) I received section 8 and moved into a new construction apartment. ❤ it! After 12 mo, I got in the section 8 homeowners program and now I own my own home. I only make about 38k and section contribute to my mortgage for 15 years or until I make over 45k good luck on your journey

When I was in my 20’s (I’m 49 now) I lived in low income housing with my 2 kids at that time. I was proud of my 3 bedroom townhome, I always kept it clean. I got a lot of compliments on my decor. I worked full time and it was a good feeling ❤

Very nice apartment tour. I love it. I like what you said about your bedroom furniture. I like the fact that you have your own style and it’s not the typical modern glam that a lot of people are doing. It shows character and individuality. For the bugs get you some Boric Acid and sprinkle it behind everything including the stove, fridge, your washer and dryer. Behind your couch and in all cabinets and drawers. They will take it back to the nest. I promise it will work. Also put outside yours doors if its the big Palmetto bugs that try to come in. I’m like you. I don’t sleep in no dark house.

I currently pay1650 for rent and I am living pay check to pay check. I just recently applied for affordable housing and am praying I get approved! 850 for a 3 bedroom instead of 1650 for 1 bedroom!

New subscriber here! I just love your spirit!!! You are truly blessed, and your kids are blessed to have a mom like you! I love seeing how gracious you are of your space. I've been there sis, and I eventually evolved from section 8 and low income housing to expensive Apts that looked nice but weren't too much different than living in the projects. It took me a while, but last month I just purchased a brand new, never lived in townhome in a new masterplan community, with resort-like amenities! 🎉 Never saw it coming, didn't even know I had access to it, but it was one of the best feelings ever!
