Both men are alive & well sis, living in another state with other families and I presume other priorities. They choose to call, visit and financially support when they feel like it which is not often or consistent enough to depend on. Sometimes their family members help out too. But I am raising my children on a day to day basis on my own girl. That’s just my reality and I accept it 🤷🏾♀️ but thanks for the compliment, I have always loved a canopy 💚
@@_EvolvingIntoHER_ absolutely rooting for you! I was raised by a single mom as well so I get it 🫶🏾🙏🏽🙏🏽 You seem to be very level headed and ambitious enough to improve your situation real soon . By the power of the Lord you will 💕
I lived 5 years with rats... I had to throw all my stuff away... My son and I had to part ways just to be able to afford to live... I thank God for my new home... 2018- 2023 was the worst years of my life... I lost my mom in 2018 and went downhill from there... Had no one to help me but God...
Oh my gosh girl I’m so sorry you had to endure all of that but I’m even happier that that nightmare is OVER for you. So sorry for your loss as well 😢🫶🏾🙏🏾 I’m thanking GOD for you new home too cause sheesh! 💚💚💚
God is the only way, he can always do what man can't and won't do. Praise God, for bringing you out and helping you into the new. Congratulations for all your achievements and may the blessings continue.
I've never lived in the projects, I was actually raised on the proverbial "other side" and live in the suburbs now as an adult but I can totally relate to both being a single mom and having to deal with "unwanted guests" in your house. And I can tell you that no matter where you live, a universal truth is that NOTHING inspires you to declutter your house faster than bugs and vermin. I considered my house pretty clean until years ago when a family of field mice (we live in a desert climate) found its way into my house via a large tree thats branches were touching my roof, which they ran up on and gained access into the house via the chimney. Pretty soon they were in the walls - I could hear them gnawing and scratching at the walls, until they finally chewed a hole through and now they were in the house - chewing holes through the dog food bag in the garage, making a nest in my very expensive couch, and I even found them under my bed , in my closet, and in my BABYS CRIB that I (thankfully) wasn't using any more. I tore my entire house apart, called the exterminator, put out poison, got a cat, had the tree cut down, and threw out probably 70% of everything in my closets - I didn't care if I needed it of not, I didn't want to keep anything that they had touched and I didn't want them to have anyplace to hide lol. Mice problem is gone and hasn't resurfaced since, but to this day I HAVE to be able to see the floors in my closets and I keep them as decluttered and minimal as possible.
Wooo! That was a crazy experience but you did what needed to be done! Way to go! You are so right too, if nothing else will make you declutter and clean up it is bugs and rodents!!! 💚💚💚💚
I raised 4 children alone. We lived in the projects for a while. You are a woman to be admired. Keep on keepin on just like you are doing. I truly, appreciate your humbleness. Keep close to God and He will take you further than you can imagine
You caught my attention because I can relate. I'm in housing 25 years, and you are right about the dirty neighbors it's continuous work. I have been dealing with rats/ mouse/ mice forever. I have literally become a minimalist . A few tips to eliminate roaches.. get rid of any books on your kitchen counter, roaches like glue, clean around your stove and back splash of any grease or food crumbs roaches luv that, dish detergent bowls with water , hair on the floor and empty the water tray in the back of the refrigerator from condensation, it sits there for them to have a feast. Move all furniture from against the wall and use lighter fabrics to see them and to avoid them from hiding in dark places. Invest in a steamer that will come in handy for many things and try to steam your home once or twice a month. I bought vacuum bags for the things that I'm not using, and then I placed it in the totes. No eating in the bedroom and vacuum as well as sweep your floor regularly because they luv dust as well. I prefer to vacuum, mop, and swiffer in that order. I have been crying for years and doing everything possible. Up to last night, I saw a mouse, and my anxiety and OCD level went up. To save on electricity buy yourself, rechargeable bulbs, and sensor lights on Amazon. Trust me, I've been down that road. Get rid of plastic food containers and unnecessary or chipped dishes. I am still working on my bedroom and bathroom. I would like to have the basics.
Sending love, positivity, prayers and encouragement your way. Thank you so much for the tips. My heart goes out to you having to live with that. Thank you for watching my video, I really appreciate it and I will be using some of your tips too! Thank you 💚
Also, no wood fruniture and clean with peppermint oil. The cold weather is also good. I don’t have kids and I have decided not to pay rent anymore because of this issue with pests. And let me tell you I went from paying $650 a month for a studio to $2500 and both started out good but ended up bad with pests. I’m hoping my next move to living and working on the cruise line will be different. I would love oneday to create a safe house for woman. Wishing you all well❤️
@@MsJonessss Even though that is unfortunate it sounds like your next step will be a great change for you. I hope you really enjoy working there 💚 Thanks for the suggestions and for watching my video
I’m not sure where you live but you need to check to see if there’s a Habitat For Humanity in your area or state and apply for a new home build. It’s a Home Ownership program for low income families. I believe you’ll be approved as a single mom of three kids. Once approved you can ask to have a three or four bedroom two bath home build. It is your home no rent you pay a mortgage to own your home for your family, the land is yours as well as the home. Please check into it ASAP!! I don’t know how I came across your videos but thank God I did so I can give you this info. ❤
Found it! lol, thanks again. I know a lot about Habitat For Humanity because my mom went through that program, paid off her home and is still living in her house 💚 It was such a BIG blessing in our lives
I went through this before it was a nightmare. A neighbor moved out and left a pot of greens on the stove for a month. Roaches was so big in my apartment my son who was 10 would sleep with tissue in his nose. I bought some boric acid powder sprinkled it in the cabinets closets kitchen and in two weeks they we're gone. It's working for your good weeping may endure but for one night but joy comes in the morning that trouble won't last forever 🙏🏽
@@aloeleaf9789 yes if the bugs crawl on the dishes. I always rinsed my dishes in hot water before I used them. I put it in the corners in the cabinets behind the stove refrigerator. In bedroom and closets out of reach out children.
I lived with my daughter in a loft in the city, and we were above two restaurants. The first few years, I never saw one bug. But eventually, we started to see roaches in the kitchen because roaches look for food and water. We had dirty neighbors, which increased the roach problem tenfold. After several complaints, we started to receive exterminators every three months, which helped control the roaches, but roaches are survivors. Just keeping it under control and staying on top of it is all we could do. They do have traps that you can put around and we would also, put little plastic bowls on the floor with water in baking soda in them because we learned that if they drink that they would blow up. In the morning you would find a couple on the counter. They come out at night so I would swat them and then clean the counter with bleach sprays. Come to find out our neighbor had so many, and never tried to control any of them, had a dirty apartment and We never did get rid of them totally until we moved. I know it’s tough but a greater problem would be bedbugs. If I were you, I would go to the manager and tell them you need an exterminator to come. If that doesn’t work, you can contact HUD and complain to them to get more of a response. I live in low income housing right now and HUD monitors our building for bugs. As a matter, fact, if I were you, I wouldcall HUD first. They are supposed to keep their housing free from bugs rats, and mice. .
As a women with 3 kids whom just left the shelter to live in ghetto section 8, i still needed to hear that line! " people are praying for where your at!" So true. The goverment needs to make these landlords give stable homes. It effects the mental health and continues the cylce for some that dont have the power to fight those thoughts, the bad ones, the ones that make it seem ungrateful but also know we deserve way more better conditions. God places people on journeys just so your energy can make a change when its demanded.
As a 50 year old woman who has been ill since the age of 22 with lupus. I'm single with no children and never married. I was struggling with my living situation and my life in general. I came across your video and was immediately inspired by you. I'm assuming you are maybe 1/2 my age, and you taught me today. Appreciate what you have right now. It may not be where you thought you'd be, but it's better than it was or could be. Thank you for sharing, and God bless.
I was in a motel at a casino, and heard the alarm clock radio malfunctioning, and picked it up and I saw roaches. I DROPPED that thing and ran to the office they was partying inside the clock. 😳😂😳🤣😳
I was in the same situation years ago! I sat down wrote down short term goals for the next six months. It supppose to be a stepping stone. Take advantage while you can. Go to school or get a trade so you can afford to move somewhere nice. I took advantage of all the free schooling they were all trades. I never had to come out of my pocket. You got this . Im praying for you and your family. I can tell youre a good mom and you deserve nothing but greatness for you and your kids. If i did it you can too. And i was a single parent. Its not easy, but its well worth it!!
Thank you, you are so right it is just a stepping stone-I WILL NOT get stuck here! I got my goals written down and checking them off one by one! Also I completely agree with taking advantage of all the resources I can. I literally tell myself we ain’t enduring all this to come out with nothing!!!! I just know GOD will bless my family and I. Thank you for being so sweet and encouraging, I appreciate your support 💚
💜 “Sooner or later, it’ll turn in your favor” This is only a pebble in the road, greatness is ahead. Don’t stress about it, work towards it and before you know it you’ll be a homeowner. We believe in you!
Thank you for watching my video and being positive and encouraging. I really appreciate that and you are 100% right too, one day this will be all behind me. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💚
This is definitely project life. Not to mention every financial reward you get like raises your rent goes UP because your income goes up. I have an associate who 60 years old no kids and lives in the projects. She refuses to work because she knows her rent will increase and food stamps will stop. You are not alone! I'm not in the projects but i have dealt with rodents, bed bugs, etc. And the apartment is falling apart. But my rent is $425. I have to live with the bugs, filthy neighbors because that's all i can afford in this economy!
The arguments and domestic violence ..shootings! The random drop ins with maintenance, loud talking neighbors with their family at 2am. The SPIDERS are huge! Plumbing is always messed up somewhere. The homeowners program is randomly available, if you make decent money your rent is high to keep you stuck🤦🏾♀️ Everybody has a car but no job.
THIS. I lived in the projects in Indianapolis for about a year back in 2014 with my then 4 year old daughter. Prior to that I had spent 6 months homeless living in my Ford Escort in the wintertime so the projects almost seemed like a luxury at first...until it wasn't. I remember there were nights I'd wake up to the door knocking at odd hours of the night. 2..3am. Always scared me so much and always just hid under the covers like that would somehow protect me if some shit went down, doors thin as hell too💀😂 For real though you got this! Best of luck to you. ❤
I ran across ur video. I grew up in the big projects in NYC. In 70 people were poor but cared. Things were different. Save money on store bug spray. Get home defense. That's what extermenators use. spray window screens, doorways. And vents. Vacuum bags cheaper than bins. Bins aren't cheap. Use moth flakes in bins . My mother was the pro. we rarely had bugs. I live in a house now, different problems. Gnats& geckos can get in. You are doing a great job. Keep praying and living positive. God sees this. Your miracle is coming❤
What I have found as a true help for anyone’s situation, keep updating your skill set. You don’t have to go to college. But there are certifications for skills, side hustles ( legal) and free city and state programs to learn new skills.
Girl I am in SA and live in the hood. Just three days ago they shot 5 people two streets up. Have the worst and most inconsiderate neighbors. Dogs barking at hours of the nights, rowdy unruly kids, fights etc. I had to finished writing exam in this mess. The last couple of years have been rough rough. I got a remote job and bought my own apartment! I am praying to God this is my years of flourishing and prosperity because I have been through the ditches.
@_EvolvingIntoHER_ thank you love. Praying for you. I was so inspired to see you worship. I wept when I pray because the last couple of years has taught me to lean on God alone. Wishing you the best. New subbie 🩵
This video is touching. I’ve never lived in the projects and I fight & pray hard I don’t have to & unfortunately that’s where they want our people. I remember being in the shelter eager to get in anywhere and the projects was one, but God had other plans for me. Funny that right after I accepted the small apartment, the projects selected me & my caseworker was trying to talk me into breaking my brand new lease to go the pjs because it had the two bedroom I needed. I prayed on it and asked family for advice & they all told me NO stay where you are. Now I’m trying to escape where I am, not because of the issues you face but I’m just tired, it’s over crowded and my mental health is at war because I know I want more for myself and children. These programs keep us trapped in a bubble but so does the city. If we make $1000 before taxes they act like we’re wealthy and they cut us from assistance. Rent is way too high & the wages are extremely low. Like you, I’m raising my kids on my own and it’s tough as hell! This video is so real because people don’t know the half, it’s no for sympathy at all it’s just RAW & REAL. I work for the city & I’m still eligible for public assistance… that’s disgusting & the landlords don’t want the programs & want you to make 40 times the rent & have a 700 credit score just to pay their mortgage. It’s so ridiculous but stay strong because a change is coming. 🙏🏾
I am praying that you too get out of your current situation🙏🏾🙏🏾 and I’m grateful you can see that this is my real life. You stay strong as well. Thank you so much for watching my video, I’m so appreciative 💚💚💚
I love how spiritually aware and vulnerable you are. Your journey to be closer to God will not fail you. He's going to deliver you into a better life for you and your kids. And after he does, praise him and never forget where he brought you from. I subbed because I'm looking forward to seeing your spiritual growth and seeing how greatly God is going to bless you, sis! 'Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.' Psalms 30:15
Oh you’re the second person to post this scripture, thank you for the reminder 💚 & Thank you for subscribing, welcome to my channel 🫶🏾🫶🏾 I receive and believe everything you just said and I WILL NOT forget what GOD will bring me through. All of my subscribers will be a witness to the blessings in store for me and I’m already grateful and just thanking GOD in the midst of all of this 💚💚💚
You not going to be there forever Sis! You have me crying because I remember saying this when I had a 3 family home that became infested with roaches due to dirty tenants. I had to pack up my belongings. When the lord showed me my next home, he gave me Duet 6. I would meditate on that scripture everyday and I would believe God that he had that home for me. It was like he said when I bring into this next place don’t forget the Lord God who brought you out. That was 20 years and he gave me a beautiful home that I didn’t I know I could have. He did exceedingly abundantly above what I could ask or think. He has more for you because you’re not afraid to share your testimony and you’re grateful for what He’s done already! I subscribed so that I could be around when you give us the house tour!!! God bless you and your family!
Better days are coming! God sees you & will walk with you through all the trials & tribulations. You are an excellent mother to a beautiful family. I pray & wish all the best to you all ❤
🥹 Thank you, I really appreciate this reminder from you. I had real strong emotions about sharing this but have been receiving nothing but positive vibes from this!
The Ortho doesn't work it just stinks but there is a fire ant killer i get from the hardware store and when i tell you it works wonders even if the neighbors don't do their part
I just seen your video in my feed. At my apartment, I used to have a gang of roaches but I ended getting the roach gel and the majority of them are gone. I used to have roaches in my kitchen and I rarely see them now. Trust me the roach gel works, and if you have an exterminator come over tell them to use to roach get instead of the spray. I tried baits, spray, tablets, and none that stuff worked. New subscriber. -Stephanie
Thank you for subscribing!!! I am going to give the gel another try, it didn’t help when I first moved in but everyone keeps telling me to use it and that it works. Maybe I did something wrong the first go round. Baits definitely don’t help either, I agree with you about that.
It’s unfortunately what low income housing attracts. Obviously not everyone is the same, but when people don’t work to keep a roof over their head, etc they are less likely to appreciate it.
Bugs are in my apartment as well and they stress me out I can definitely relate and I keep my place clean when I’m not depressed! There was bugs in my apartment before I moved in and they didn’t even tell me!
And why would they tell us that?? Cause they know if they did they would have to do something about it. I blame management too like girl don’t get me started 😠🤨😂😢
Something needs to be done worldwide about some of these lords over land! I don't understand why they are able to get away with giving tenants housing along with rodents, insects, mold & mildew upon inspection. The inspectors seem as though they are afraid to come up against these ppl & just pass anything! So wrong!
BORIC ACID!!! MY GO TO...BEEN HERE IN MY APARTMENT FOR GOIN IN 7 YEARS... DESPITE OF THE NEIGHBORS PROBLEM WITH EM ..I HAVE NONE!!! BORIC ACID...I SWEAR BY IT
Noooo you are making me tear up😔 it's going to get better! I am in a similar situation, I have my good days as well as bad and we will come out on top!
🥹 Wooo girl… You are not alone but you are right we will come out on top!! Thank you so much for watching. I hope you’ll subscribe and don’t be a stranger 💚
If any of the stuff you use don't seem to work, here is a suggestion. Borax, Liquid sealer, and Clorox. If you want to step it up a notch...add boric acid to the Borax. I' m not making this up. Put Borax in window seals, behind all electronics, around the stove and refrigerator, and in back of the cabinets. Liquid foam to seal all holes under cabinets and around pipes. You won't be the first or the last to have a pest problem. May the Lord be with you. Peace
HELLO!! I just started watching this video! And sis,I'ma tell ya right now...I was having the same problem ..been here in the projects for goin on 7yrs and even tho my nasty neighbors have ALL had a horrible roach problem ...I been here goin on 7 yrs and NEVER EVER had one problem with roaches ..I had seen a few here and there and IMMEDIATELY went to Lowe's and bought BORIC ACID!!! THAT WAS THREE YEARS AGO...STILL HAVE NASTY NEIGHBORS WITH THEIR HORRIBLE ROACH PROBLEM...AS FOR ME.. ABSOLUTELY NONE!!
Came from the house tour video, cant wait to watch this 🖤 Edit: girl I just want to give you a hug you radiate positivity and make the best of your situation. It’s rough out here I’m donating plasma just to get by because my job can’t come close to affording this ridiculous rent in Colorado. I feel so lost and defeated. My husband had his life taken now it’s all on me. I wake up daily with a racing heart wondering what will become of us. I love your videos they are comforting
So when I lived in an apartment we would spray all the way down where the walls meet. Spray the baseboards and inside all cabinets. We also sprayed the outside of the front door. It can be a little expensive buying cans so get to Lowe’s and get the large container of spray with the sprayer attached. Good luck.
For your roach issue; use this recipe, don’t waste your time with the gel it doesn’t work…. You need this: Borax or Borax acid Baking soda Sugar to lure them to the mixtures Mix these in equal parts Place in baseboards, behind fridges, near electrical outlets, they love moist dark places. Or place where you know they hang out. I’m telling you, if you apply this , the next day you’re going to have some major sweeping to perform. This is an old school recipe that works trust, the house I grew up in someone brought them over and it was a wrap but after this application, you could leave food out for minutes or hours and no one or nothing would touch it.
I lived in NYC projects for yrs and made the best of it. Your home is on the inside and you praise GOD for the Now. I now live in NC and own my TH it’s not a new build and I’m soooooo Grateful. “You don’t know my story”!!!!!❤
Congratulations, it doesn’t even matter if it’s not a new build baby you are better than where you came from. AND YOU OWN IT! I’m so happy for you 💚 Thank you for watching my video and you are so right.
Just found your channel and…WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL OF MY LIFE? This was the most inspiring vlog I have ever seen. You are awesome and your strength to navigate and grow has given me so much inspiration! Keep doing you and I definitely will be back!
Oh I’ve been there with the bugs. It’s just aweful. After your done everything, cleaning, bins, sprays and all that, oh some plugs for the empty electrical sockets, use some peppermint oil and put a few drops of oil on cotton balls and put them in all the cupboards and closets, under sinks, behind fridge, under stove, bugs hate the smell. Your home might smell light a big candy cane but that’s ok. Then just stay as absolutely clean as possible, which I know u know. You are so relatable, you are an inspiration and a beautiful lady
I’m a new subscriber. Your apartment is lovely because you make it nice and you try your best to make it cozy and comfortable for your children. Wishing you the best of luck with everything. It’s so true, we all gotta be grateful for what we have at the moment 🙏🏻❤️
I'm in the process of going back and watching all of your older videos now. I probably need to start at the beginning and do them in order. I sure hope by now that you have gotten a different job, it is so stressful working in customer service! You could definitely be a Professional Organizer - you've done wonders! It is so sweet and calming to watch and listen to you. 💞
I'm so glad I found your channel. I watched a few of your videos and remember you saying that there isn't much on youtube that is relatable and I feel the same way. I am a stay at home Grandma. I love to cook and decorate and clean and re-organize....and do whatever it takes to make my family happy. We live in a 650 square foot trailer and have our youngest daughter and her two precious sons here with us. Although it is small, there are three bedrooms and I am so grateful for that. The trailer park that we live in could be considered the eye sore of the neighborhood. We are lucky enough to live in a great neighborhood but a crap hole of a home lol. The boys can go to a wonderful school. This place always has issues like plumbing and electrical and also soooooo many cosmetic related problems that are in need of constant repair. We have lived in every neighborhood that you could think of. From good (when I was raising my kids) to the so called "hood". I found that (just like you said) if you stay to yourself and mind your own business then people will leave you alone. We have lived in a hotel room raising two grandsons for a year and also lived in a tent for six months. Although we have been here in this small trailer for five years now so I am so grateful to have a home. But I am always looking for new recipes and I love to bake and decorate and so many of the lifestyle vloggers on youtube live in huge fancy mansions and have money to buy expensive things and basically anything they want. Anyhoo....I am rambling on. Just wanted to pop in and say hi and to tell you that you are beautiful and your home is warm and welcoming and you are doing a wonderful job!! Thank you for keeping it real. Glad to finally find something a little more relatable for me.
Thank you for your authenticity. Your realness will relate to a lot of people. I have lived in the projects too before when I was younger. God is definitely going to bless you and your kids. We may never understand why we go through what we do, but God is faithful and will bring you out of this. I was told years ago that if God is bringing you THROUGH something, He's bringing you TO SOMETHING! I know this to be true. Sis, keep the faith! As fsr as the bug situation, I have dealt with that, too. I dont know if you have ever heard of boric acid, which is a powder that you can buy at Walmart, Target or Lowes, etc. Try that with some sugar in it and put it EVERYWHERE in your apartment, and I promise you'll see a difference in the bugs infestation. Praying for you....
I don't live in the projects. But when I moved in my rental home. The landlord said the tenant before me moved out without letting him know. She left all of the food in her fridge and cabinets. She also transfered the lights, so there was no power. This went on for about a month before he went to collect the rent and was told by her neighbor they had moved weeks earlier. When he went in. The food had spoiled and roaches were everywhere. He had a pest control company come in and spray twice before I moved in. He had someone come in to clean and sanitize the whole house. He was honest and upfront about the whole situation Even after doing all of that. When I moved in. There were still roaches. The little ones. I called him and told him that I still saw roaches. He said no prroblem. He had the pest control people back out spraying. Before I put anything up in my kitchen. I let the guy spray in every nook and cranny. He came out once a week for a month and I haven't seen a roach since. He said those small German roaches are the worst to get rid of. My landlord pays for monthly pest control services.
Seal all your base boards, Bug spray all window frames inside and out. Spray your doorways and frames too. Run chalk over all your edges on cabinets. Bug spray all edges of cabinets, shelves, base boards, under sink seal all edges, bug spray. Bug spray every two weeks all floorboards, door, windows and buy roach motels or bait containers put behind refrigerator, one on each side of the sink under. Under beds etc. Live din apt where everyone had bugs. I hardly had any, but it is what I did so I did not have them hardly at all. I put everything in plastic or glass sealed containers. No cardboard, no paper bags. I also bombed my house. Then vacuumed and washed everything, dishes I washed put away after I sprayed all cracks, that is after the bomb. I placed a roach bait in each cabinet shelf. Buy the baits in bulk. Seal everything. Peace!
You are not alone. I just came across your video and I just wanna tell you that you are not alone., don’t be afraid. Don’t stress yourself out. Focus on you and your kids.. as far as the bugs go to the dollar tree and get all the caulking you can find, go to hardware store and course steel wool. Also, pick up some combat roach gel. Caulk up every crack you can find whether it’s around your baseboard of your apartment inside your kitchen cabinets. Around your sink around the cupboard of your kitchen sink bathroom sink just caulk to you can’t caulk anymore. Any crack that you find in your home caulk it with the dollar tree caulk… at the hardware store, get the kitchen and caulk the water resistant one and caulk your bathroom with that. It’s gonna be OK. I’m still battling but sooner or later things has got to get better we can only tell our truth. Might get a little backlash, but who cares this is your experience and if you want to speak it, you have a right to. 👍🏾👍🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️💪🏾💪🏾, stay blessed because you are
Girl... just thank you! When you said caulk till you can't caulk no more I felt that in my soul!!! I'm laughing but it really ain't funny. I made a part 2 but I just might do a part 3 caulking the whole apartment up!!!! Thank you for being encouraging, I am sending it right back to you! I did the gel when I first moved in, I know everyone swears by it but it dried up so fast and did nothing for me but leave me with a mess to clean up. But the caulking I'm definitely going to try. Thank you again, I'm praying we both get out of our situations sooner than later by the grace of GOD! 💚💚💚💚💚
Not me crying with you when youre singing out to the Lord. Your feeling are real. They are raw. And they are felt profoundly by too too many people 😪 God gone get us there soon. Just keep being true to yourself 🫶🏼
Im so thankful to come across your channel... As someone who grew up in the projects/trailer park... I get it... But right now, I'm homeless, ive had to leave my youngest daughter so she can have a better place to live right now while i try to get in these income based apartments... Times are tough. I appreciate you being vulnerable.
And I hope you get in one sooner than later, I am so sorry to hear you’re experiencing that right now but it will get better, for both of us. I believe that, the storm can’t last forever 💚💚💚
you NEVER need to be ashamed ,you are doing the best you can for you & your family .Mom was a single Mom with 6 of us kids & it was hard 5 boys & I the only girl.Mom is going to be 95 she lives 2 minutes away I go see her everyday & cal her every night before she goes to sleep. I know what you mean about you being close to your Mom I do not want that day to come . A question I think the landlord should be responsible for getting rid of the bugs by fumigating,& here in Pa. they have inspections in your apartment ,if it is ames you have to clean up or you are out. My Mom lives in a senior complex & they do that to all of them even if you rent out a place anywhere. The codes officer comes in with other people . God will NEVER leave you he is right there beside you keep on praising the Lord with your singing it is so beautiful & pleasing to HIM You are an awesome housekeeper ! You have inspired me to clean my closets thank you Have a lovely day
Thank you. I really needed to hear that. The landlords and management are absolutely responsible for getting rid of the problem and they are supposed to inspect but I don’t think I’ve ever actually had one. I just get the notice on my door every year. Thank you again and good luck with your closets. I hope you have a lovely day as well 💚
You are such a beautiful person both inside and out. You are a great Mom doing what is necessary for her family. You are such a strong independent woman. Looking forward to seeing more of your video's.
You and Peach is out here showing the real realistic life of most Americans. Like you said at the beginning you are needed on this app. Real life exists. ❤
My sister lives in the projects. I tell her all the time it’s not where you’re living currently it’s how you live in your place. She has 3 kids and I just don’t understand why she won’t get the courts to make the dads pay child support even if it’s bare minimum. Some help and support is better than none. This is just a stepping stone to do better and don’t treat this situation like most and stay down forever. I pray she get it together and maybe her next step is nicer income based apt or section 8. This the time to take online courses towards a degree and hopefully she can work remote to avoid worrying about child care.
I cannot speak for your sister but I too don’t have my children’s father on child support and my mother doesn’t get it but I watched her stress and be so angry about either not getting any child support or not getting enough to help her with anything the few times she did. She was never satisfied and it never made my father become active in my life. In the end what was it all for? I chose not to go through that and maybe that’s how your sister feels. I’m not saying this is the decision every woman should make because everyone including your sisters situation is different. I just wanted to share another perspective with you, you may never understand your sister unless you walk in her shoes. I’m sure she is doing the best she can, just love and support her as best as you can. No matter what choices we make in life we all will eventually learn from them. 💚 Thank you for watching my video, I will definitely NOT be in the position forever. I’m also praying for your sister that she makes it up out of her own situation too! I have faith in the both of us!
I know how you feel. I lived downtown Detroit for 3 years in an apartment, and there were roaches. I became terrified and paranoid. I literally had PTSD from that experience alone. And that’s only part of the story of the hell that I had to go through. But God had different plans for me, and a house on the west side of Detroit included. I bought my first house March 2023, and I am thankful even though new level new devils. It’s all hard but the Lord carries us each step of the way. I like that you have a foundation and a relationship with Jesus because can’t nobody help us but Him. He wants us to trust Him and to not fear nobody or nothing but Him. What you go through is preparation for where the Lord is taking you, and you will elevate, there will be greater giants to face, and you just need to get prepared because with each new blessing there is an assignment, for each assignment you must trust in the Lord and obey Him through all things. You got this 🙌🏾💕!!!!
Ooohh girl! You just said a word!! I already know I’m going to have some PTSD when the comes where I finally get to move… It’s just crazy, and like you it’s other stuff too but your story gives me even more hope that what I’m asking GOD for will be delivered just long as I keep my faith and do my part. I truly believe this is preparation too, it just has to be because it’s just so bizarre. But I thank you, so much. 💚💚💚
Keep it real and hold your head up high. If the higher power brings you to it. He’ll see you through it. I know it’s been months ago, I pray 🙏🏽 that this issue is resolved.
Ortho ant - brown bottle, yellow lid. I had a problem in DC when construction started - I had three kinds, German, the super big ones and the medium ones. I put it by the baseboards, behind the stove, fridge, etc. Got rid of every last one. They were still in the building but they stayed out of my apartment. It is a bit stinky at first but after a while the smell went away. Just be careful around the little ones and pets and if you vacuum it up don't breathe it in when you empty it.
I appreciate you being totally authentic and vulnerable. Showing us the good, bad and ugly. Your sharing has taught me to be grateful of the things that I have been blessed with. You taught me that I don't have to have a ton of stuff to be happy.
🥹 Awww, and yes we don’t need a ton of stuff to be happy! I am so happy that you were able to walk away from my video with all of that 💚 Thank you for watching!
Vinegar and Water! Every time you mop, use it! I lived in Brooklyn, NY, and the building had roaches, but my apartment didn't, but one night, I saw a whole lot of baby Cockroaches in my kitchen. ( I know how you are feeling) I was hurt and disgusted! So I poured vinegar and water all over and then began to mop and clean. I didn't see any more nastiness anymore. I can relate Sweetie you are strong!
Order several rodent/bug repellent electric plug ins. The roaches WILL NOT enter your apartment, as it sends an electromagnetic sound wave that keeps them away FOR GOOD. Works immediately. Safe for pets & children. Looks like a night light.
I clicked on this video thinking I wouldn’t even finish cus my attention span has been horrible lately it but this was so relatable I watched to the end. Thanks for the video I appreciate the authenticity. Subscribed ❤
Hey sweetheart I don’t know you but I’m so glad I found you, a few years ago I moved into this house (renting) and the previous tenants were nasty even though the house was spotless and repainted when I moved in. I’m bug free now but it took a few weeks. They were coming out everywhere even when I cooked. I saw a video on here about mixing boric acid, egg yolk and a tiny bit of sugar and rolling them up in balls and placing them on top of cabinets/ in cabinets, behind places bugs like to hide. And I swear to you it WORKED! I saw a lot of dead bugs after that. All the spraying didn’t work nor the first foggers ..it was so frustrating but I hope you get this resolved soon love. Keep going! Love your positivity and determination ❤
I somehow stumbled across your channel, you are so brave, inspirational and everything a woman and mother is supposed to be. I hope blessings rain down on you girl!
Hi I just found your channel and I love your energy and determination to better you life and have a peaceful mindset just take it slow sis and remember God is bigger that everything and this to shall past keep positive energy flowing so you can attract positive energy back to you don't worry about no one just push stay strong❤
Thank you and I most certainly will do my best to do so. I agree with everything you just said and I really appreciate that reminder right now 💚 Welcome to my channel, I hope you’ll subscribe too!
Krystal this is the video that I initially bypassed. Glad I watched another one and doubled back to this one. Buy boric acid and mix with sugar then put that all around base boards, inside cabinets, closets and believe me this will work. I remember that’s what they used in the past when I was little and it definitely killed them. I can’t give any measurements because I just remember that’s what the grownups used. You can put the mixture in a container with a pointed lid and squeeze it out so it’s more controlled when putting it down.
A couple of people have mentioned the same thing about skipping past this video in particular but thank you for the tip, a lot of people have mentioned this too! I am working on it now.
Thank you for being vulnerable and for sharing your story. I lived in public housing many years ago. In the apartment I was good but the moment I left the safety of the inside, reality hit. The drug dealer who ran in my home to get away from the cops, was what ended my housing journey. There is purpose in your walk. Keep informing. Keep inspiring.
Hey girl if u wanna do a profession where u dont need to talk to people i suggest u go into IT u can do like auditing; consulting or software testing/engineering. Great video much love and God bless ❤
Hey Lady, I just came across your channel (I love it by the way) every time the season changes if needed "I will line the baseboards with some Diatomaceous Earth" that gets rid of any crawling insects. By the way keep up what you are doing you are on the right path. From one sista to another.
I really needed this video because I’m currently going through the same situation. I never thought I would be living in the projects as well and this past year has been so hard for me. This video is so relatable to. Last night I had a whole mental breakdown. I called my mom at 2 this morning crying and breaking down. You are a person I need in my life. I have friends but no one can relate. Thank you so much for your vulnerable moment.

Bless you sweet young lady and your family as well. I had roaches and fleas, I didn’t have any but a neighbor moved in and I live in a row home which means the houses are connected. She had so many cats, I had 1. Her house became infested with fleas, roaches and the smell of urine in her home seeped into our home as well. I was so frustrated but I got on YT and did my research. I found a channel and he is a pest exterminator and would tell what he uses for the homes. I bought the product on Amazon and with time it worked. I treated my house top to bottom inside and out. It was exhausting but it was worth it. It was a bit pricey. My neighbors had an exterminator go their house once a month, I never hired one I did it on my own. I got rid of the fleas and roaches. I was so proud of myself. My neighbor passed away of Covid, her husband and kids moved out and their home was so bad they had to wear tyvex suits to go in and mask. They gutted the house because it was so bad and so infested. I used a Gentrol baits which were $40 on Amazon and it comes with a pack of 20 and I also used Advion gel bait $26 on Amazon as well. I live in a house with a basement and attic and I treated the entire house for the roaches. It kills them. The stuff at the store is too diluted so you need the strong stuff. Good luck. I was amazed at how fast this stuff worked. In a week I saw absolutely none. I kept cleaning the house. Took everything out the cabinets gave it a thorough clean then applied it. I didn’t want to miss any spots, kept my sink clean and dry and under the sink as well. Moved the oven and fridge, cleaned and addd the product. You got this sis. Oh one more thing l, my niece moved into an apartment and had roaches, I gave her some of the same exact stuff and she said she didn’t see anymore roaches. I hate them! The YT Channel that helped me was called Green Akers pest control LLC.
@@_EvolvingIntoHER_ YW.. I’m all about helping out especially if I tried the product myself and it made a drastic change for the the better. I tired to subscribe to your channel but my phone keeps telling me ‘Error subscribing to the channel” I’ve been dealing with this for a wk. smh

“Ortho Home Defense” is a good spray to use and it supposed to work for 12 months. Spray it around the parameter of your home outside and inside along your baseboards, etc. it’s pretty effective with bugs. I can’t say roaches bc I haven’t had to use it for that purpose. When I was young starting out and lived in Section 8 housing complex (brand new development) had a neighbor move in next door that kept a filthy place and brought roaches. A friend told me to go to Spanish store and buy a bottle of borax (can get it in powder and liquid) I put that down along by baseboards and under sinks in kitchen and bathroom.i didn’t have anymore problems with roaches coming in through walls. The boric acid WORKED so good that the roaches couldn’t come through the walls they were trying to crawl on the outside wall to enter at the front door and windows. I kid you not. I put that boric acid around the outside windowsills and at the base of front door (exterior). I had my place protected like a fort. Them homers would need to ring my doorbell to come in and with my peephole they weren’t coming in.😂. Place is beautiful and God has great things in store for you. Keep the faith and don’t stop believing. I went from a single mom in section 8 housing to having several college degrees and building my own home. God’s did it for me and He can do it for you.
Thank you for this realistic representation of what life is really like for many of us. I like the picture your mom has on the wall. It’s a good reminder to be grateful. Regarding your work situation. Have you considered getting your life and health insurance license? There are a lot of work from home positions. There is a cost upfront for the school and license - less than $500 in total. It’s a good investment because you’ll make that back quickly. Pay is higher than customer service and there’ll be commission on top of that. My husband has been doing it for about 18 months now and it works great for our family. My advice would be to go with an hourly paying job rather than 100% commission based. Much less stressful!
Oh thank you so much for that recommendation, my spirit is telling me to look into that! Also I appreciate that you watched my video. Thank you so much for commenting 💚
@@_EvolvingIntoHER_ I’m happy to hear that, because my spirit was leading me to tell you about it! I think you’ll find it much more rewarding than customer service. My husband works for a company called American Health Marketplace. They are a good company and always seem to be hiring. Also, for your licensing he recommends going through Xcel. If you can get into the industry in the next couple of months, you’ll be ready for open enrollment in November which is the busiest time of year and has a lot of earning potential. P.S. I’m so glad your channel showed up on my feed. I’ve subscribed and look forward to seeing your other videos.
I know this video is a month old and you have it handled but Boric Acid takes them out! Nothing to be embarrassed about; it happens. I live in a house in a nice neighborhood and spotted a few roaches. I keep a clean and well kept home but roaches don't care. Like you, I went to war, they didn't stand a chance lol!
I dont know how i came upon your page, but i have watched two of your videos, and i just want to say you are not along. We all go through something every day, but trust and believe God will not leave us. He is preparing you for your greatness. Your reward is about to blow your mind. I love your content, and your voice is so smoothing it pulls me in. You decorated your home, beautiful. It reminded me of when i grew up in the projects how beautiful our home was on the inside. I always say i miss my childhood and how everybody was so close to the projects and still knew each other. Keep praising God and being grateful. You got this queen and know that your babies love you and see how you provide for them blessing to you stay positive.
Clear bins are great, but you need to patch up any cracks you see as well. That alone praise and worship is real. Been there....still going through it sis. I appreciate you sharing.
I just found your channel and I relate to a bunch of your struggles. I am not a mom yet, but I am independent, in a state I have no family in, and struggling to go to university full time and working part time and still managing to pay my bills. It is HARD and this season of my life has been super tough and character building. That scene where you were vulnerable in your praise and worship is EXACTLY what I do probably twice a week. Without that check in with my lord and savior I have no idea How I could deal with all this. It's temporary struggles. I have a fear of spiders and where I live they are ABUNDANT . I have had to just give it to God and focus on the fact it's temporary. Because I am in University, I can't benefit from the low income housing, and I can only go to University because I qualify for Financial Aid. I will never ever understand why they prohibit students from benefiting from low income. The stigma that those who are in college have familial support is rediculous. I would be working full time if I hadn't recently wrecked my car and have to rely on a very limited county bus operating hours but I am very thankful we even have a county bus.
Doesn't matter about not having children, people can still struggle without them. You've got the right mindset to get through your situation. Keep claiming that it's only temporary girl and finding reasons to remain grateful despite it all. I'm praying for both of us. Thank you so much for watching! 💚💚💚💚
I’m your new subbie, your light & honesty have been so inspiring to me today. May God continue to bless you, and show his favor , like you said, you won’t be here forever. If you need to hear it, you are doing an amazing job! Keep pushing and praising. ❤
So true we dealing with roaches right now we buy so much raid it's crazy it was roaches here when we moved in and they were also coming from our neighbors house we stay in dmha in Dayton,oh
Raid or ANY OTHER TYPE SPRAYS OR BAITS...WILL NOT WORK! BUT... BORIC ACID!!! I SWEAR BY IT! I HAVE ABSOLUTELY ZERO ROACHES!! I had tried everything! WASTE OF MONEY!!! RUN TO LOWES AND GRAB SOME BORIC ACID! IT WORKS!!!
Listen I heard wiping down your counters with lemon disinfectant every night helps keep roaches lessen. Use lots of lemons/water, keep it strong with lemon.

THANKS FOR SHARING YOU DID YOUR THING BEAUTIFUL

Thank you 💚

In the cabinets, does it get on the dishes? Do you wash your dish each time due to the powder. I want to use it, but that is my concern.
@@aloeleaf9789 yes if the bugs crawl on the dishes. I always rinsed my dishes in hot water before I used them. I put it in the corners in the cabinets behind the stove refrigerator. In bedroom and closets out of reach out children.
@teresachoyce8378 so a good rinsing not dishwasher liquid? That saves time if I just need to rinse and not wash a dish each time.

Don’t worry about your look, ur naturally beautiful…that’s what made me want to watch ur channel. #facts
Awww, thank you so much. I really appreciate that.
What I have found as a true help for anyone’s situation, keep updating your skill set. You don’t have to go to college. But there are certifications for skills, side hustles ( legal) and free city and state programs to learn new skills.
Thank you 💚
Girl I am in SA and live in the hood.
I am so happy for you because I know where you came from 💚💚💚💚 Congratulations!
@_EvolvingIntoHER_ thank you love. Praying for you. I was so inspired to see you worship. I wept when I pray because the last couple of years has taught me to lean on God alone. Wishing you the best. New subbie 🩵
@@MsRamington Yes! I can relate. Thank you and welcome 💚💚💚
Go get Orthene Fire Ant Killer for roaches and place Camphor around the outside and inside of your units for rodents…..thank me later
The Ortho doesn't work it just stinks but there is a fire ant killer i get from the hardware store and when i tell you it works wonders even if the neighbors don't do their part
@@RitaCannon-ef2sg Ok, thanks!

Some people thinks it’s normal to have roaches, rats and mice they don’t care
I cannot even fathom that type of mentality, that’s got to be a mental illness!
Why a deplorable household must have pets.....Poor dog or cat must want to escape and babies or very young kids must live the way the adult(s) live
It’s unfortunately what low income housing attracts. Obviously not everyone is the same, but when people don’t work to keep a roof over their head, etc they are less likely to appreciate it.
Sista, God is preparing you for the home that you desire! Don't give up, keep your dreams and hold in. I'm praying for your family!
Get you some #3 steel wool to plug that hole up. Also, get you some peppermint oil to spray your baseboards with to keep rodents and bugs away.
I had to subscribe. I can relate to most of what you’re going through…. It’s sad but better days are coming ❤.

BORIC ACID!!! MY GO TO...BEEN HERE IN MY APARTMENT FOR GOIN IN 7 YEARS... DESPITE OF THE NEIGHBORS PROBLEM WITH EM ..I HAVE NONE!!! BORIC ACID...I SWEAR BY IT

Peace
Thank you I really appreciate it 💚

So when I lived in an apartment we would spray all the way down where the walls meet. Spray the baseboards and inside all cabinets. We also sprayed the outside of the front door. It can be a little expensive buying cans so get to Lowe’s and get the large container of spray with the sprayer attached. Good luck.
And ALWAYS REMEMBER beautiful sister in Christ...THIS TOO SHALL PASS! MUCH LOVE AND GOD BLESS
AGREED 💚
For your roach issue; use this recipe, don’t waste your time with the gel it doesn’t work….
You need this:
Borax or Borax acid
Baking soda
Sugar to lure them to the mixtures
Mix these in equal parts
Place in baseboards, behind fridges, near electrical outlets, they love moist dark places.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate this 💚
Boric acid and borax or two different things , which are you talking about?
@@FeliciaJohns-lr8zt I think borax is a brand of boric acid or something similar to it but I could be mistaken

Noooo I haven’t yet 😩😩 I never thought of being Professional organizer though 🤔 Thank you 💚
I'm so glad I found your channel.
Awwww thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words. Welcome to the channel 💚

What a blessing to have a landlord like that 💚 I am so happy for you!
Thank you for talking about this because many of us are going through the same thing.

Peace!
Thank you 💚
You are not alone.

you NEVER need to be ashamed ,you are doing the best you can for you & your family .Mom was a single Mom with 6 of us kids & it was hard 5 boys & I the only girl.Mom is going to be 95 she lives 2 minutes away I go see her everyday & cal her every night before she goes to sleep.

Aww thank you so much I really appreciate that 💚
My sister lives in the projects.
AMEN

Ortho ant - brown bottle, yellow lid. I had a problem in DC when construction started - I had three kinds, German, the super big ones and the medium ones. I put it by the baseboards, behind the stove, fridge, etc. Got rid of every last one. They were still in the building but they stayed out of my apartment. It is a bit stinky at first but after a while the smell went away. Just be careful around the little ones and pets and if you vacuum it up don't breathe it in when you empty it.
Thank you 💚
This works used over a decade ago never had a problem again. Got it from Lowes garden section.

Thank you, and are you referring to white vinegar?
Order several rodent/bug repellent electric plug ins. The roaches WILL NOT enter your apartment, as it sends an electromagnetic sound wave that keeps them away FOR GOOD. Works immediately. Safe for pets & children. Looks like a night light.

Keep going!
I love you so much and I love how honest and real you are! Thanks for being vulnerable! We should link up!
Girl you just don’t know how I was feeling, recording, editing and then UPLOADING this video. 😂😂😂 but email me sis evolvingintoher@gmail.com
Thank you 💚 I will
Hey girl if u wanna do a profession where u dont need to talk to people i suggest u go into IT u can do like auditing; consulting or software testing/engineering. Great video much love and God bless ❤
Aww thank you for that 💚💚💚
Hey Lady, I just came across your channel (I love it by the way) every time the season changes if needed "I will line the baseboards with some Diatomaceous Earth" that gets rid of any crawling insects. By the way keep up what you are doing you are on the right path. From one sista to another.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you for that and thank you for the tip I am going to get me some of that too!
Yes! I was wondering why nobody mentioned Diatomaceous Earth!
It works!
Ugh GIRL! I just want to hug you right now!! I know EXACTLY how you feel. We gon be alright and we're going to get through this! We may be struggling now but we won't be forever. Keep your head up Goddess. Thank you for being here and don't be a stranger girl.
@@_EvolvingIntoHER_ thank you so much. I oh wish there was a way we could exchange numbers because you’re so uplifting. And it’s crazy how I ran into your video after my crying session. This video was definitely meant for me to see. God is so good!
@@Unapologetically_Keya All the time! That’s what I like to call divine timing 💚 I know it’s not the same as a phone call but you can email me at evolvingintoher@gmail.com
Side note: that dresser with the shelves next to the mirror is everything. I’d LOVE to find one. Your home is beautiful.
Thank you so much!! I found mines at a thrift store 💚
Just keep praying God answers prayers 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you & I will 🙏🏾💚
Bless you sweet young lady and your family as well.
Thank you so much for sharing that with me and the YT channel as well 💚💚💚
@@_EvolvingIntoHER_ YW.. I’m all about helping out especially if I tried the product myself and it made a drastic change for the the better. I tired to subscribe to your channel but my phone keeps telling me ‘Error subscribing to the channel” I’ve been dealing with this for a wk. smh

Thank you 💚
“Ortho Home Defense” is a good spray to use and it supposed to work for 12 months.
Thank you so much for sharing that with me, it did not go unappreciated! 💚💚💚
Thanks for the inspiration Miss. Gigi
Yesss, thank you so much 💚💚💚
I dont know how i came upon your page, but i have watched two of your videos, and i just want to say you are not along.
Aww thank you so much, I really appreciate you for this comment. Thank you so much 💚
Clear bins are great, but you need to patch up any cracks you see as well. That alone praise and worship is real. Been there....still going through it sis. I appreciate you sharing.
Thanks for the tips! I did eventually seal the cracks! It’s further along in the playlist if you want to see. I appreciate you watching 💚
@@_EvolvingIntoHER_ yeah I saw that u did it. lol! I hope all is with u and your children, I really do.
Thank you, all is well too! 💚
Thank you so much 💚

Keep going with God, you have a Beautiful Spirit ❤ Thanks for sharing and may God continue to provide and Bless you and your family 🙏🏾

Listen I heard wiping down your counters with lemon disinfectant every night helps keep roaches lessen. Use lots of lemons/water, keep it strong with lemon.
Thanks for the tip 💚💚💚
