I have been in this situation before with an apartment complex. You start to feel really depressed. There's nothing you can do. Doesn't matter how clean or contained everything is. When you spray or bomb they just hideout in another apartment and come back later.
This is sad to see her going through that. Hope she's better. We were in a situation that was going south fast. We tenants had to work together to get them (dirty tenants) moved out and then EVERYBODY had to schedule at the SAME TIME. We kept complaining and syncing our extermination schedule. Them coming back is what I am afraid of. I live in a 54 apt building. Others had roaches then i saw 5 babies and kne adult. Elderly so i told land lord finally they had my apt sprayed. I got spray traps roach motels put all food in ice box and in glass containers with lids havent seen any more. Trust me I'm looking but a friend who is moving across the hall from me soon said she doesnt want my friendship any more. My apt is clean always has been but she doesnt want anything to do with me. I told her shes moving across hall from me the guy upstairs had first roaches above her apt so she shouldnt b so mean but i lost a friend cause i got roaches. I got right on it dont have friends dont have roaches either lol
this comment is old but they why you have use bait traps. that way they take the bait to next apartment and kill the nest in the next one. spray only kills the ones you can see. foggers may not get the nest.
BORIC ACID!!! I lived in an apartment just like this back in the 80's. I tried sprays, the roach motel, everything...nothing ever worked. A friend recommended putting boric acid in just a few key areas and corners around the kitchen. I threw out EVERYTHING, put the boric acid around and went on a week's vacation. Came back and found hundreds of dead roaches, didn't see not one live one. Cleaned up everything and that was the END of my roach problem. I NEVER saw another roach again. CAUTION: It is very potent stuff, so do NOT allow one drop to spill on your dishes or food! Read directions carefully and keep away from children!
Lil Birdie I have heard of boric acid too! I suspect bugs coming in under my entrance door(apartments yes!)... I have placed boric outside the door..... but the maintenance crew uses leaf blowers to clean the lot! Blowing all my treatment away! Rendering my treatment/bug barrier?? Useless!!! Lol ikr! Gonna have to move eventually?! U can be clean & your neighbors nastiness still overwhelms you lol smh!
Boric acid powder got rid of a roach infestation I had when I lived in an apartment. Had a loaner fridge that was delivered until the new one arrived. Had roach nest in the back. Boric acid got rid of infestation in one week. And it's not potent enough to kill a child unless they eat a cup full. I don't know where you heard that from.
When I moved into my shitty apartment, them roaches would look at you judge you and continue walking along. Took six months for the roaches to actually take notice and run and take cover of my big can of Raid. I kept my crappy apartment clean and to almost no food. (Roaches would come to starve here.) But been a year and I hardly see them. Shitty complex maintenance sucked landlord didn't care and yet they quick to ask for late rent . .
There should be some sort of slumlord law in place to protect tenants from any lawsuits from shitty landlords that want to sue and steal deposit money when a tenant wants to move due to slum like conditions and tenant neglect.
I feel so bad for laughing when she said she was shaking but when she cried I got sad because roaches anit no joke even if you keep your house clean if the building is infested they won't leave
I lived in a motel for 6 months with this issue. At night there could be 200 roaches in a cluster on the ceiling near the sink! They crawled into the bed and into my hair. In the microwave and lived after it was turned on! Mini refrigerator was a happy place for them! Manager said to buy insecticides and spray every day....cheap rent but it definitely was not healthy. Neighbors told me to not call city because they would shut down the place and they'd not have a place to live. Holbrook, Arizona!!! Suffered alot mentally....imagine opening your eyes during the night and having one looking right at you! I moved, finally after saving up for new deposits.
That’s how cockroaches turn your life upside down. Been there done that, we signed the lease once didn’t know the place had roaches problems. Until first night they pouring out of their nest yuck. We mentioned to report to business bureau and broke the lease after that.
I know exactly how she feels. I used to live in apartments filled with roaches..... It was fuckin aggravating. Those things will find a way to get into EVERYTHING. I was relieved when I moved out.... Haven't dealt with them for 10 years now... This woman deserves help.
Lived through one of these with my mom, we'd live in an apartment chock-full of roaches, we'd call it "Raining Roaches" because roaches would crawl on the ceiling and fall onto us. We had complained, they considered the apartment condemned, but didnt vacate us to a new unit, instead, they evicted us. But its all good, we got a nice, roachless home. 😁
If a landlord is unwilling to get rid of them, it's grounds to sue and/or break the lease. If she doesn't have the money to sue, one call to the city/town/county/state building inspector's office will light a fire under the landlord real fast. Contacting the city, town, county or state is free They can declare the property legally uninhabitable, unfit for human habitation or whatever her state calls it and make them fix the problems Landlord could then be fined x amount daily until the problem is solved, given x amount of time to fix the problem or face fines, forfeiture, imprisonment or all of the above. They can also be forced to provide alternative housing until the problem is resolved or be ordered to terminate the lease and refund if it remains uninhabitable
I know exactly how she feels. We lived an an apartment years back and our apartment had roaches. I would clean and clean and spray. Still would get them everywhere. Finally we hear a knock on the door and it was the exterminator. He told us the apartment next door to us was infested with roaches and the roaches were coming over to our side. We ended up leaving. Thank God.
Our apartment is the same thing. The piece of shit manager knows and he just raised rent up. It's absurd, we plan on moving because our manager is just that awful at handling it.
I Draig I boric acid mix it with peanut butter n sugar andd the yellow of an egg...mix it until it is like peanut butter cookies...place pieces of it in key areas like under sink cabinet...behind fridge..everywhere ..they will be dead in a week or two...
Sophia: same one time we had rats in our apartment we told our manager he did nothing we told him we were getting bug bites from some strange bug he did nothing
Apartment complex don’t even care about her situation as long as they keep getting that monthly rent 😡so sad to see people her age dealing with situation like that
I got rid of my Cockroaches using a product I bought off Ebay for $50 (Australian) called MaxForce Fusion by Bayer and Boric Acid, its been 2 years and they haven't come back.
I had an infestation because of a neighbor about 4 years ago. My husband had to caulk all the cracks and open spaces in the apartment, we bombed the place, then laid out boric acid and roach motels. It took a few months, but we got rid of them in the apartment. That was also the year we moved tf out and just had to be careful about what we took with us.
yeah so true otherwise they just keep breeding, I don't know how it is in Florida but in Sydney Australia they are just crazy taking over, its hard to go out at night to a restaurant because of all the nasties.
Richard Kennedy It's definitely similar to Florida, then. During the heart of the summer, flying roaches (most Floridians call them 'palmetto bugs') and mosquitos swarm some areas. They'll find their way into everything that has a door - vehicles, homes, businesses, etc. - if you don't get in or out quickly enough. It's gross, but I've been here my whole life, so I'm used to it. 😅
Abel Cerrillo that would make things worse. She wouldn't get a deposit back, and it would make it nearly impossible to rent again because of the broken contract. It's not as easy as you might think.
Use diamethicus earth a very light dusting of it will kill any bug. It dries them out and they die. It is food grade and safe for people and pets. Light dusting so they walk through it and not around it. My grandma had them horrible 2 weeks later all gone. I use it and never have any type if bugs. My neighbor across the street had roaches and bed bugs horribly and I gave them a bucket of it and they are bug free. It's less than $20 for a bucket on Amazon and will last you years. They also sell the dusters which is a must to get a light dusting. After you get rid of them always some under appliances and along baseboards and you will never have bugs again.
Mix boric acid and sugar put it around the boarders and corners of the floor. Get roach hotels and push them under the fridge, stove, and in the back of the cabinets. Lastly spray Home defense around the windows and doors inside and out. Put a little boric acid and sugar mixed along the outside of the front door and on the bottom of the walls next to the front door. They'll be gone. Also put covers over any sockets that aren't being used, take trash out daily, and sweep up any crumbs.
Most roaches will not eat sugar based baits anymore since they have evolved to know that most baits contain sugar! Best way to kill them is with advion bait and gentrol Insect growth regulator! 50$ for the two products and you get enough advion bait to treat a 3000 sq feet! Sugar based bait will only work for wild roaches such as outside water bugs not house roaches especially not german roaches they wont touch that sugar at all but the advion they will eat it right out of your hand and fight to the death for a dab of it that how much they love to eat that bait !
IGOLUUNEY Advion Cockroach Bait and boric acid reslly really works. No sugar in the boric acid needed as the gel attracts them. In a few weeks NOTHING.
Id move out asap.if one apartment has them and they move out..the roaches infest the neighbors..it happened to me but i broke my lease and left.also beware when buying used tvs or electronics from a person. The roaches may come in like trojans lol
That is exactly what our apartment looked like for almost 20 years, and management never did anything about it. My mom would deep clean everything regularly, but they would always appear. There wasn't a spot in our house where they didn't accumulate and I watched her slowly give up because nothing could get rid of them. It was really depressing, I even got scolded once for leaving a plate of food out while my parent's friends were over and cockroaches started eating away at it 5 minutes later.
CHILD I FEEL HER PAIN...just 2weeks ago I was dealing wit da same problem, until I sealed up every hole in kitchen, bath and closed da vents then I raid bombed da place. Problem solved.
Something that really worked 4 me that got rid of ALL the roaches and haven't seen 1 in years is the Syngenta Advion Cockroach Killer / Roach Gel Bait (AMAZON) and COMBAT Source Max Roach Killing Gel (WALMART). In telling u in less than a week u will only see roaches dead. Amazing products.
I've dealt with roaches at a previous apartment as well and it's absolutely horrible you could have the place very clean and they still will come out of nowhere
Did she get help? Did the news channel help her? What was even done! I'm about to cry right now and I'm so pissed! Beautiful sweet grandma doesn't deserve that crap! Shut those apartments down!
Wtf??? She shouldn't have to live like this. What a disgrace. Landlord should pay for her move, and pay to have brand new furniture and so forth on her move. 😡
I won’t be paying anything I would actually leave then sue the apartment building this is gross unacceptable and devastating to watch this sweet elderly lady go through this
Unfortunately, family can't always afford to move family, no matter how much we may want to, and don't always have the space or ability to move them in with you. 😟 The best we can do sometimes is help them keep their place up and fight the battle alongside them.
It seems like most apartments either higher scummy or incompetent exterminators who spray for roaches(doesn’t work and usually builds the roaches immunity to the poison) or the tenants are just slobs and don’t get evicted, allowing the infestation to spread throughout the buildings
If she was my grandma I would just have her come to live with me, why isn't her family stepping in either...they just gonna let her keep being there...
Thats so sad because if the roaches & eggs are not exterminated properly from her personal belongings begore she moves the roaches will just set up home to her new apartment.
John Roberts I would not be surprised if some of the roaches are nesting underneath the carpeting on the steps and in the hallways outside the apartment. After people walk in with wet shoes and boots in the winter the carpeting gets moist and stays damp providing a very good habitat for the roaches.
Damn, I never thought i’d understand these people. Roaches are insane. They travel with you easily and they multiply wherever you take them. They keep living and never die since they mate with each other, eat each other and each others poop for survival. They also survive off any water.
Literally the last place I lived had bad cockroaches to. German cockroaches never go away. They’ve sprayed once. The whole building was infested and needed to be knocked down.
I feel bad for her. I have been in that situation myself. Lived at a place no problems, then suddenly roaches all over the place. Nothing worked, and the stuff they sprayed, only made the roaches breed MORE. I moved and ended up taking some with me to the place I am in now. I did end up killing the nasty things but it took another year and a half. Lucky they were only in my kitchen in the new place. I still wake up sometimes thinking they are crawling on me in the night.
make sure they bait kitchen cabinets and counter tops. just spraying the baseboards don't work, the roaches are above the ground were the food is. make sure cat and dog food put up when u go to bed. if not they will eat THAT and not touch the gel bait
I’m dealing with the same problem. Hadn’t seen one roach in this unit in a year then suddenly come year 2, it’s like I’m killing multiple daily. There’s no quality of life here. I can’t cook anymore, I feel like every where I go I go I have to look over my shoulder or carry spray with me. Apartment living is rough. Unless the ENTIRE building gets treated there’s really nothing you can do to permanently fix the problem. At least when you’re in a single unit or an actual house you can pinpoint a source. But with these apartments you can be OCD AF with the apartment looking like you just moved in and they’ll still just pop out of nowhere.
I'm sealing cracks with foam sealers and caulk. Along the base of the walls, there are cracks big enough for them to hide and sealing cracks will greatly reduce their numbers. Have you tried boric acid bait recipes?
Damn. I feel for her because I had to deal with a roach infested house as a kid. I'd lose my appetite whenever I saw one crawling nearby so I developed an eating disorder in a way. It should be illegal to rent places out if you know it's infested with roaches.
I feel this women. I have roaches in my garage which come to my kitchen and into my room and it ruins my life and sleep. I always have to put clothes around my door because I’m afraid of one crawling all over me while I’m asleep. It is hard.
Only thing they can do at this point is tear the whole building down and rebuild it... Once it's infested that bad that's it! No matter how hard you try your effort is all in vain. Especially in apartment buildings where you're sharing an building with all types of people.
Hurts to see her cry, she seems like a sweet lady.

@@alysmari3956 Tenants' union is a great strategy!
Roaches are stressful as hell ... that 82 year old lady doesn’t need all that stress 😢
I know this video is old, but I hope she moved to someplace better.
Me 2. I hope she's ok now
BORIC ACID!!!
Lil Birdie used boric when i moved to Tampa it was temporarily momentarily as the Roaches come back
You cant get rid of the problem with just 1 apartment. The entire building needs multiple exterminations.
It depends on the boric acid, you need more than that in alot of cases... 🙄 burn the bitch down shit. Ewwwwwwww 😵
Shitty complex maintenance sucked landlord didn't care and yet they quick to ask for late rent . .
CoffeeSpiller Pluto bofl 😂
Already!!!!
CoffeeSpiller Pluto The roaches judge you😂😂😂😂
💀😂😂
There should be some sort of slumlord law in place to protect tenants from any lawsuits from shitty landlords that want to sue and steal deposit money when a tenant wants to move due to slum like conditions and tenant neglect.
I feel so bad for laughing when she said she was shaking but when she cried I got sad because roaches anit no joke even if you keep your house clean if the building is infested they won't leave
Samantha Davis same 😂😔
I was wondering what you thought was funny? Hummmm.... Smh
Samantha Davis i laughed too and I felt bad,it was just how she said it.
Why would you laugh... smh
At her age she shouldn't have to live like that poor woman hope she gets help.
This is like the entire city heights and north park area. All the landlords are slum lords there.
richbunny1 i have the same problem
I used to live on 48th and university, it was called East San Diego back then, it didn't even seem like America. Glad I moved!
If they keep coming back someone else probably has them
TheGoofiestGoober Yes, and if your neighbor bombs their apartment guess where they go
Lived through one of these with my mom, we'd live in an apartment chock-full of roaches, we'd call it "Raining Roaches" because roaches would crawl on the ceiling and fall onto us. We had complained, they considered the apartment condemned, but didnt vacate us to a new unit, instead, they evicted us. But its all good, we got a nice, roachless home. 😁
Facts!
Poor lady!! Come on some one help her.. I wish I could
Perv
carmela rogers pervertido too
Brian The Explorer lol true
The building is old, the roaches live in the wall.
If a landlord is unwilling to get rid of them, it's grounds to sue and/or break the lease. If she doesn't have the money to sue, one call to the city/town/county/state building inspector's office will light a fire under the landlord real fast. Contacting the city, town, county or state is free
They can declare the property legally uninhabitable, unfit for human habitation or whatever her state calls it and make them fix the problems
Landlord could then be fined x amount daily until the problem is solved, given x amount of time to fix the problem or face fines, forfeiture, imprisonment or all of the above.
They can also be forced to provide alternative housing until the problem is resolved or be ordered to terminate the lease and refund if it remains uninhabitable
i have a phobia of insects i feel so uneasy while watching this
duddle love your profile pic
I know exactly how she feels. We lived an an apartment years back and our apartment had roaches. I would clean and clean and spray. Still would get them everywhere. Finally we hear a knock on the door and it was the exterminator. He told us the apartment next door to us was infested with roaches and the roaches were coming over to our side. We ended up leaving. Thank God.
In cases where the infestation is real bad you might have to leave if the roaches invaded the whole apartment building.

I Draig I WHEN you move they'll give you a big bogus lie of judgements hendering you to rent another roachy Florida apt..
Same
I Draig I boric acid mix it with peanut butter n sugar andd the yellow of an egg...mix it until it is like peanut butter cookies...place pieces of it in key areas like under sink cabinet...behind fridge..everywhere ..they will be dead in a week or two...

If she was my mom or close relative I would take her in..leave everything' in that apt and start over..where is her family??
Right, I was wondering where her family is too. Her age is pretty up there
I got rid of my Cockroaches using a product I bought off Ebay for $50 (Australian) called MaxForce Fusion by Bayer and Boric Acid, its been 2 years and they haven't come back.
lol pretty lucky getting rid of roaches sure, You just gotta create an environment that the cockroaches aren't comfortable living in.
I heard someone else talk about this. They used it to help a family member and they never saw roaches again...ever
don't pay ur rent
Abel Cerrillo
you don't lease do you?don't pay rent means you get put out.
+Tammy Ryder they need to charge the roaches rent....
Abel Cerrillo that would make things worse. She wouldn't get a deposit back, and it would make it nearly impossible to rent again because of the broken contract. It's not as easy as you might think.
Right
If she don't pay her rent she going to get put out and who's the say she got family or have some where to go
Poor lady. I hope she’s able to move. She’s too old to be dealing which such a situation
This was 2016, has the apartment complex been revisited since this? We need to start holding property management and owners accountable.
This poor lady...I'm dealing with a problem but it's not to this point yet. I feel so bad for her...I want to give her a hug 💔
@@jenniferrb3665 im using it and nothing is dead! It doesn't work

@@tonibackus1438I am trying advion right now
At two weeks I am still seeing roaches unfortunately
20 years??! Why didn’t she move? I know moving is expensive, no judgement. But 20 years?
She is pretty clean. There is probably another tenant that is not. The roaches will keep coming till the whole building is fumigated
CHILD I FEEL HER PAIN...just 2weeks ago I was dealing wit da same problem, until I sealed up every hole in kitchen, bath and closed da vents then I raid bombed da place. Problem solved.
renee Mitchell watch for more there eggs can live threw spraying and bombing for upwards of 6 months. It might take a few times.
No one should have to live in conditions like that
I've dealt with roaches at a previous apartment as well and it's absolutely horrible you could have the place very clean and they still will come out of nowhere

I won’t be paying anything I would actually leave then sue the apartment building this is gross unacceptable and devastating to watch this sweet elderly lady go through this
But were is her family to get her out smh
Unfortunately, family can't always afford to move family, no matter how much we may want to, and don't always have the space or ability to move them in with you. 😟 The best we can do sometimes is help them keep their place up and fight the battle alongside them.
Yup I'd have to max a few cards out for G'ma ❤
That’s American culture we forget about are elderly, we disown are children at 18 as well.
JoJoM92 sad to say but ppl don’t like to deal with grandmas or their older family members
I feel for this woman. So sad.
It seems like most apartments either higher scummy or incompetent exterminators who spray for roaches(doesn’t work and usually builds the roaches immunity to the poison) or the tenants are just slobs and don’t get evicted, allowing the infestation to spread throughout the buildings
My cousin had like SO MANY cockroaches at night and one time I slept and a huge cockroach was on my neck
Thank God they moved out
If she was my grandma I would just have her come to live with me, why isn't her family stepping in either...they just gonna let her keep being there...
My exact thoughts. The family is the real slum for letting her even live in those condition
She could've had a fallen out with some. Like you never know what these people were like in their younger years.

Bomb the place! *Bug bomb that is
Lovnlace they did
John Roberts
I would not be surprised if some of the roaches are nesting underneath the carpeting on the steps and in the hallways outside the apartment. After people walk in with wet shoes and boots in the winter the carpeting gets moist and stays damp providing a very good habitat for the roaches.
Lovnlace Nuke the fucking town lmao.
Lovnlace naah she need one of them al-Qaeda bombs lol
Lovnlace if they bomb the place they won’t die they can survive even a nuke
is there any update as to stupid landlord taking care of this? Poor woman.. :(
Damn, I never thought i’d understand these people.
Roaches are insane.
They travel with you easily and they multiply wherever you take them.
They keep living and never die since they mate with each other, eat each other and each others poop for survival. They also survive off any water.
Did you ever get any help? Friends of mine called the health department and they came. I'm praying for you and everyone there.
I've seen and lived in worse but not at that age.
Sucks to live like that when you're a great-grandma.
Awwww 😥😥😥.... where’s her family? Smh. I hate to see seniors mistreated
Poor woman :(
Literally the last place I lived had bad cockroaches to. German cockroaches never go away. They’ve sprayed once. The whole building was infested and needed to be knocked down.
Someone in the building could be allowing breeding in their appartment.
That’s terrible!
make sure they bait kitchen cabinets and counter tops. just spraying the baseboards don't work, the roaches are above the ground were the food is. make sure cat and dog food put up when u go to bed. if not they will eat THAT and not touch the gel bait
Welp, time to burn down the house.....
They will still live
DeadMemes AreDelicious Roaches can survive radiation, not fire, they will burn..... They will all burrrrrnnn......
apartment idiot, apartment.
@@chaaaleeeh9973 Who gives a shit, idiot?
I can help you
Landlords do not care they do the bare minimum of that
No one deserves to live like this i almost cried seeing her cry 😭
Damn. I feel for her because I had to deal with a roach infested house as a kid. I'd lose my appetite whenever I saw one crawling nearby so I developed an eating disorder in a way. It should be illegal to rent places out if you know it's infested with roaches.
EWWWWWW!!
Me when I see a roach: MOMMY!!🤢😷 Awww no older lady should have to worry about this every single day.
Oh my gosh 😞 seeing her this fed up and hurt and nobody is gonna help her??? My heart is broken. She cant even eat or sleep in peace.
Elderly should not have to worry about bugs but also it starts with landlords 🤔 and the people need to keep their residence CLEAN!
I feel this women. I have roaches in my garage which come to my kitchen and into my room and it ruins my life and sleep. I always have to put clothes around my door because I’m afraid of one crawling all over me while I’m asleep. It is hard.
The tenant must be a freemason to be able to get away with this. Somebody call an ORKIN MAN
Throw everything away and move her into a stable home. This is health alarming.
Easy said then done.
Any update since 2 years has passed. I pray the best for this lady. It’s heart breaking to watch or to see anyone go through this.
Only thing they can do at this point is tear the whole building down and rebuild it... Once it's infested that bad that's it! No matter how hard you try your effort is all in vain. Especially in apartment buildings where you're sharing an building with all types of people.
