I can't believe I had to spit this video into TWO parts! If you haven't see the first part make sure you watch that one FIRST • Living in the PROJECTS...
EVERYTHING I did in part one and part two is WORKING! I am not seeing any little roaches and the big ones are popping up more dead than alive, so that's progress!
In this video you'll see me finish deep cleaning downstairs and covering my vents up. At the end I'll show y'all everything I did to roach proof my apartment

You need to get some boric acid. Put it around baseboards, behind appliances, under appliances and beds. Cover the perimeters of your home. Also clean everything and mop with bleach and pinesol alternately everyday. It's a lot of work but you can and will get rid of the bugs. God bless. ❤

Don't use bleach, use peppermint essential oil. Rats, mice, roaches hate the smell of peppermint oil, it work amazing.

I moved in my Rad section 8 apartment in NYC and when I tell you I cried last year. I live right by the garbage chute and on top of where they do the garbage. I was seeing roaches. I was ready to give up. With the help of the exterminator and using diatomaceous earth and ortho fire ant killer. It’s better. My new dilemma is the mice in the walls 😅. NYC has a problem for real
With rats and mice but thankfully they haven’t entered my apartment yet and I keep food stored away. I’m praying that I can either afford to move upstate NY or one of the tax credit apartments I applied for. I’m trying to think about how someone else would love my blessing and problems right now
Wooo! Girl I know it is haaarrrrdddd to be grateful when you are feeling miserable but find that gratitude girl, find ways to just be in a grateful space-gospel music helps me a lot!! Then from there sit still and just breathe, shut the world out and meditate and when you feel disconnected start talking to GOD in your mind and ask for what you want DON'T BEG!!! And when you open your eyes start forcing yourself to believe its going to happen for you (don't ask no more!) and watch your faith move you to work hard and bring you what you asked for effortlessly!! I texted you recently regarding what to use to get rid of the pest problem. I just looked at the correct name of the product I told you about. The product name is: Ortho Home Defence - 12 month protection in a trigger spray. Kills all bugs. The owner of the apartment complex should be concerned about the Health Department getting involved. Yes Ortho Home Defense is wonderful. After moving n2 my hse I noticed a heavy infestation of ants and silver fish. I tried a self made concoction of boric acid and sugar to attract them and I also used the Ortho. W/ the Ortho I sprayed the outside perimeter all around the foundation, around the windows, and doors. All throughout the basement and all throughout the house including along every baseboard, inside the closets and inside all air vents. I noticed no bugs @ all after 2 weeks and I do this every 12 months @ the beginning of spring.

That’s why I stopped years ago putting my dishes and utensils in the cabinet and drawers. I was gifted a rack and a small armoire I used the armoire for my dishes and utensils and I used the rack for my microwave, pots/ pans, air fryer. I brought a small cart with wheels where I placed my seasonings and spices. I brought roach spray and boric acid put it on the base boards around the whole apartment in each room.
You are very articulate. I pray for your season of growth and prosperity. When I lived in an apartment complex I used combat gel and I also put it around my outside windows, doors and near my vents. I also purchased covers for my drains. It did help. This is only a stepping stone that's going to propel you to greener pastures!!

Hey just a little tip for battling with these roaches. If you mix the roach poison with vaseline and use it as a paste for the outside doorways it sticks and powder won't blow away in the wind and also it sticks to the roaches and they would take it back to the nest. The other tip is pour some of the power down the sink holes at night and plug the sink holes. Roaches crawl up the drain holes when its dry overnight.

I remember living in an apartment building that wasn’t even the projects but the lady underneath me was a hoarder. I had to bomb my apartment and I used the roach gel in the corner of my cabinets and I also put a door stopper thing in front my door because one day I seen a roach in the hallway trying to come under my door. I also left boric acid in the corners. It helped and I moved in a year…hold on ..keep praying and trust God.
İn addition to proper food storage, İ dried the sinks and bathtub at night.
That really helped!

A few more pointers. Roaches love cardboard boxes ..they also fees off of the blue on them. I also researched natural remedies. You may want to look up what plants chase away bugs and rotants. From what I've read one of the plants they hate is lavender , Black pepper etc. I've also seen the bug guy put down some type of bait for ants that looks like toothpaste, the bug eats it and carries some back to the others which kills them. Hopefully it works for roa he's too.

Oh yeah this is true. I had a rack where I put my cereal, bread, snacks etc. I stopped putting anything in the cabinets they were empty and it helped me a lot

Save every penny you can. I lived in rented places most of my life. I own my own home now. Not a big place but it is mine. I am elderly now. I learned to save. Dave Ramsey is a good thing to follow. I lived in lots of apt that had bug problems. I sprayed all the time. I hardly had them. I clear chalked all my outside cabinets edges. I sprayed all my doors around the outside trim, windows, vents, monthly at first then every six months. Inside and out. I sprayed all base boards once a month. People would ask how come you do not have bugs. Door sweep needs to be looked at and replaced if needed. Window felting where the edges are.

We live in the suburbs and have bugs. You can’t really get away from them. In fact, a few minutes after I watched this, a water bug snuck in from the deck, and I had to whap it with my flip flop. Whoever said boric acid is right. Our old bug guy said they love water, mulch, pine needles, dog and cat food. I don’t think it’s necessarily a dirty/clean thing. Also, I guess the poisons don’t affect the baby ones at all. You have to keep spraying and treating throughout the entire life cycle of bug. Can’t remember how old they have to be. You just consistently kill the adult ones. So weird. We have flying roaches here in Alabama. They hiss. I’m so scared of them. We also found a weird hybrid bug in our crawl space that looks like a roach mated with a cricket. Good luck! You have this! Don’t get down on yourself

I remember kiving in a riach infested house i was renting from a slum lord ....i went and got myself a tall container of BORIC ACID on day 2 and sorinked it in the deep corners of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and places where i saw the bugs. With small children youll want to be mindful of where you sorinkle it...BUT THE STUFF WORKS!!!!!! Dudnt see anymore after a week.

My first apartment was low income and my building truly did have an infestation of roaches🪳🪳🪳. I didn't sleep well for the first few nights lol. Luckily, the maintenance lady and her husband lived next door and gave Mr advice on how to get rid of them. I literally bleached down all the surfaces after using 3 roach bombs, and i definitely used boric acid. I kept wiping down all surfaces with bleach water afterwards to keep them at bay. Oh, and i used those combat roach motel traps. Before long, my lil project apartment became my temporary oasis. 😊

Bengal spray is also really good, but pricey. Get 2 cans, spray the perimeter of your home, and it'll take care of everything for at least 6 months. If you do see any buggies, they'll be dead or dying.

I placed a bowl of vinegar at night in the cabinets and sprayed the counter tops also took the trash out every night. After a few weeks of that NO BUGS!!

You can obtain it from Home depot or any home improvement store. Unfortunately, living in a multi complex with other tenants who may not be clean. These cuitters will be coming in your home. You’ve given me so many great ideas thank you. But those small raid baits with egg stoppers specifically the raid brand ones work like magic! I swear i thought i had a problem that would never be solved. I never see them anymore. I’ve had to use them twice. I’ll be using them everywhere atp. I put them in the cabinets on top of the fridge on the counters under the stove and fridge. It’s like I forgot i had a problem.Those pests suck so bad!😩 SN: you want to dust the boric acid lightly so they can step in it and carry it back.

YUP............Works inside/outside and cheap enough to share with your neighbors. Helping them to get rid of their problem helps you, people that grew up with roaches don't have a clue how to get rid of them. Some believe and will tell you everybody has roaches.

I just saw your last video when you cleaned out your closet. You had the cat food in there. I would suggest going to Petco or Petsmart and getting a food container that keeps the bugs out. I have ants and these containers are great. Nothing goes in them. They're beige with paw prints on the side.

Get boxes and put from cabinets in them, don’t leave no food out, breads:,fruits and veggies it will dry them clean up every crumb keep the kids in one place when eating, call in maintenance to schedule to spray, do as much as you need. When they spray don’t mop. You will get rid of them

For the cabinets over your stove, you should consider buying space savers so you can store more items. They have them at Marshalls and Home Goods.

I had some really nasty housekeeping neighbors in a few places. I'd not let my dog live in such a place. I was shocked to see how they lived. I have problems eating potlucks now because of it at churches. You do not need to put the powdered stuff just get a good long term bug spray and spray monthly if you need to. Other wise every six months. Call the office to see if they offer spraying.

I had a spider issue bc I'm surrounded by trees. Bugs are attracted to water. Make sure your drains are pkugged and faucets aren't leaky. Ever since i started useing the wall pkug uns from Amazon it has kept them at bay.

I feel this so deeply! We lived in the projects for 7 years. Do I have some stories!! We lived in 4 different apartments there, i made them move us the last time because the whole building had bed bugs! Omg! That was the worst!! And another time, the girl above us was on drugs and left her baby in the bathtub and he turned the water on and flooded the whole bathroom to where it collapsed into our bathroom!! Swat over there every weekend! Shootings! Girl, one time my daughter was a baby and we were out on the porch sweeping up and no lie, this man ran through with the cops right behind him and they tazed this fool down right in front of my baby! So glad we got out of there! Luckily we got Section 8 finally! Are you on the list?

For BackUp get a Toaster Oven to cook 🍗🥐🥔🍕🌭🥓🥩your food. To wash the dishes buy 3 dishwash pan got to the tub fill them up 1 for washing soapy water, 1 for rinse water 💦 & last pan for holding extra dishes if you run out of dishe pan space. In case you can't go over someone house for some reason OR don't feel like going no where.
I had a toaster oven and got rid of it because it hold too many crumbs. Luckily they came and fixed the sink and oven quickly. My mom told me to do something similar to wash dishes in the meantime too. Thank you, I appreciate your help.
Hey what’s been working for me are those sticky traps from Walmart but I just order a 72 pack from Amazon for $26 I put em in the cabinets on the kitchen floor and cut them up for smaller spaces, girl I hate living this this , my new neighbors are the worst. I also use the ant killer in the black bottle from Walmart is been really helping

I just want to say that with boric acid ,the roaches does get use to it and its like a power pellet to them, but what you can do is use it with crushed moth balls and it will definitely keep them away.... what you do is crush the moth balls in a zip lock bag and mix just a little with the boric acid and you will see results within days.......I put moth balls around the outside of my home in the summer, bugs animals insect does not like that smell....problem solved

If the roaches just came out of nowhere,then someone bombed or heavy spray their place.Start looking up natural remedies then using chemicals.Put everything into glass or plastic with tight lids.I dealt with roaches in my younger years and still put everything into containers.Cat food and dog food,too.My grown daughter calls me extreme exterminator still,lol.I DON'T LIKE BUGS.lol. Take one day at a time.Give it all to the Lord.

Wow I'm so sorry you are going through this. I live in low income in a suburb upstate. And I'm blessed to not have to deal with these issues. Not every low income place is built the same. There are some nice ones and bad ones. Sadly you live in a bad one. I can only imagine how much it plays with your mental. Yes, I appreciate when people ask questions that are a bit personal they’re polite and genuine. You are right, there are some nice ones. I was praying they would let me go to one when I got the call but unfortunately when they called me they person I dealt with told me I get one offer and if I don’t accept it then I’ll be removed from the waiting list. I was desperate so I took it. I knew the neighborhood was rough but I had no idea I’d be dealing with all of this. It could be a lot worse so I count my blessings. Thank you for your prayers. I’ve had to live under in income based apartments like twice and what I learned from the elders is to get those roaches bomb things and put multiple in every room and leave and do this for about a week because you can’t stay in there with all of those chemicals and then after that it should get rid of them and to make sure afterwards clean them up and just keep mothballs in every room and that helps keep them out no matter how nasty the neighbors are because we had had nasty neighbors and eventually it got to where they kept their roaches and came over and bragged about us not having roaches when it’s a decision and we made that as a family to continue to refuse to live without roaches so we kept roaches out and we only seen roaches crawling around the neighbors apartments and steering clear of ours and sometimes you also have to have the exterminator spray every month if your neighbors are too nasty and I forgot to mention to put the mothballs places where kids would never see them like inside of furniture and under furniture towards the walls away from eyesight and under cabinets behind products so kids don’t see it and I also washed everything down even the walls and cabinets and dishes down with bleach or Clorox daily

i use to put my cereals in the fridge or transport all my cabinet foods in mason or glass jars, like the flour, corn starch, oatmeal, etc. Also drain covers.

What did u use yo vover the vents and how did u put it om?
I went to Lowe’s and asked for a mesh material to cover the vents and that’s what they recommended. On the package it literally says vent cover at the top. Hope this helps 💚

After my mother passed away. My daddy carried roaches from his sister's house. And my brother and sister n law tried everything to get rid of them. They live in West Virginia. I live in Virginia. But my Dad has passed away know. But i went for a few days and stayed and cleaned his house real good. And put combat out everywhere. Which I had told my brother to do. But he never did. But anyway i put the combat out. And in two weeks time. My sister N law called and said you were right. And i said what about. She said all of your dads roaches are gone. And they never seen another one after that. But i told them to change them out about every few months. But it has to be the name brand.

You need to get some Orthro Home Defense from Walmart , Lowe’s, or Home Depot. No scent, no color, you can spray indoors and outdoors once a week until it’s under control then you can spray once a month.

I was told I didn’t qualify either and to come back several months later the Lord told me to go back the next month and I did and I was accepted I’ve been a homeowner ever since 13yrs to be exact. I live in Texas. Go back now and try again.
