    These tabs aren't meant to be reused in most cases, they could've been damaged or broken when flare was removed or reinstalled when you had your wrap installed. They're relatively inexpensive so it's best to use new ones whenever you reinstall flares. If not for piece of mind ultimately. Good video Sir..👍👍

    Good video the flair job is a pain, I usually put first the tabs on flair as manual says, because tabs are different and comes with large tip that it is for alignment the flair into the metal fender, and you are lucky because usually de plastic fender tab holder breaks off, and sometimes you have to replace all plastic flair.

    Fan-tab-ulous I am missing a few tabs on mine. As usually timely video or maybe it's the fact that I have a 2014 TRD with 57,500 miles on it and I love zipping around trails with it. Sound familiar 🤔.

    Whats crazy is on the 3rd gen tacomas you can not remove the thin inner wheel well mud flaps until the outside trim is removed first being there are flat tabs that go into the edge of the lip of fender that hold the inner mud flap on which the outside trim edge covers up so the outside trim must be removed first.

      @@michaelarmas5445 Sort of depends on your personal preference. Bushwackers are popular ( amzn.to/2IG9wVu ) but for just a bit more you could get replacement wide fiberglass fenders instead.

    Does the rubber stripping between the flare and body at the top of flare come off attached to the flare and go back on easy? Thanks for the video Tacomaholic

      The rubber stripping was firmly attached to my flares and didn't seem loose at all.

      No the fender flares just attach to the sheet metal of the panel.

      Thanks man! My fender flares are wrapped in a matte black vinyl. Had them wrapped for a few years now and still look great.

      @@Tacomaholic Anytime man I love your channel! I need to get one of your mugs! So it looks like the vinyl wrap held up. I will look into wrapping mine. In your personal opinion, do you think the wrap will hold up on the plastic bumper inserts for the top of the stock bumper? im also thinking about doing my black plastic door handles. I also really like the color scheme for the front of your truck. Some of your older videos from when you didn't have your off-road bumper inspired some ideas. Thinking about painting the bumper to match the grey on the rest of the truck and wrap the flares in black vinyl.

    I like to keep the fender liner. Do you you have a video on removing the liner to access the tab from the inside? Also, how do you like the wrap as supposed to painting? How much did it cost? You have a video on the before & after the wrap? Thanks!!

      I don't have a vid for removing the liner but I go over the wrap price here: ruclips.net/video/rAsYY3WQ2VA/видео.html If you plan offroading a wrap is a better option since the paint will just continue to get scratched offroad.

    Hey there when I bought my 2015 Tacoma the previous owner took off the front 2 fender flares. He kept the oem fender flares so they’ve been sitting in my garage since I bought the truck. Besides the plastic snaps, do you know what size screws I will need to reinstall the flares? From your video it looks like there’s 4 screws for each side

      I don't know the size off the top of my head but you should be able to get the part numbers from a Toyota dealership.

    Other observation is that you don't have any trouble with the flex plastic trim when that thing detach you need to order a new one.

    Do the gen2s not have the double sided tape at the top of the fenders? The gen3s do but I'm wondering if it's necessary.

    Were any of the tabs on the flare broken? I removed my flares and about half of the tabs that hold those blue or orange clips are broken off.

      Yeah a few of mine had snapped which was why I was replacing the clips. My fender flares were still held on securely ... but having a few broken tabs caused it to rattle just a bit.

    I'm currently having an issue where I did buy the fender flare clips specifically for my '05 Tacoma which I only needed one orange and when I tried to replace it, and push the fender with the new orange clip it's not accepting it. Anyway I can remediate this issue without removing the fender flare?

      Have you tried rotating the new orange clip both ways while pushing it in the slot? I had a few that were stubborn like that but they eventually pressed it tightly.

      @@Tacomaholic Much appreciated Tacomaholic! I'll work on that and discovered another fault on my way back home for vacation. So it appears that when I do a complete stop and press the accelerator it jerks forward ubruptly and then goes back to normal. This happened 5 times within a span of two weeks whilst I'm on vacation here. It never happened before my long trip from SoCal to NorCal and it just so happens to arise. Any ideas or experiences that occurred for you that I can fix the solution?

      @@Tacomaholic I'll get back to you on how it is, I just changed my transmission fluid and it was deep dark red and I don't think it has been changed for quite some time now, could have been the issue (crossing my fingers) 😅. Aside from that Thank you!

    To remove the liner does the fender have to come out first?

      The inner plastic fender liner can be removed while leaving the fender on once you remove all of the tabs/screws where the liner attaches.

      Oh believe me I would love some fiberglass fenders ... problem is that I also want/need a snorkel and making the two play well together is a challenge.

      @@stryker4240 I just want it to look clean where the snorkel passes through the fender. No I wasn't in the military but my dad was for a long time so I've been around it my whole life.
