I didn't know about Super Formula (not very carr savvy) but I like them, I just bought it (after having a blast for the past week with your Formula Hybrid). I basically transformed my Assetto Corsa into an F1 game haha
Super Formula is Japan's premiere regional formula class; effectively their equivalent to IndyCar. They're labelled the "Formula 2 of Japan" but the cars in the series can actually outperform the F2 machines. The championship is a spec-chassis, spec-tyre, engine-war formula. The Dallara SF19 is powered by a turbocharged 2-Litre inline-4; either a Toyota or Honda unit (these are derived from the tech used in the Super-GT championship's GT500 class) that produces around 540 Horsepower. Though there is no hybrid system or DRS, the cars do use a Push-to-Pass Overboost which adds about another 30 horsepower for a maximum of 100 seconds over the course of a given race. The tyres are provided by Yokohama and while they're still fitted to 13-inch rims, they're on a lower-profile than the F2 13-inchers, meaning they behave a little closer to the F3 tyres but of course with grip and durability differences to accommodate to the higher specification that the SF cars run under. In all these make a great alternative "Tier-2 Formula" option for people who want something that isn't one of the European F2 machines or the road-spec IndyCars, especially for those who have a Japanese focus on motor racing in Assetto Corsa.
Well, take my money. Are there any plans for a public release of the GRS V10R '20 (I'm pretty sure that's RSS)? I'd pay way more for a modern V10 than any other car.
