In june I was looking to buy one and they hovered to 36-37k. Then in July it spiked to $40k and I was debating on buting the bullet or giving up. Came up on a 14 for $35,500 in the white/tan fully loaded like i wanted, and now im seeing similar ones go for 41-42k. Markets insane

Mall crawlers, and I will say Road Chariots. We just bought a 2017 with 15,700 miles on it, I mean driving this vehicle, and knowing its capability, puts a smile on I and wifeys faces thats for sure.
We have an 02 Sequoia, and I'm thinking about doing some off- road mods. The Sequoia has about 178,000 miles on it, and I tell you know lie, the engine and transmission sounds and performs like (day one) when we drove it off the lot over 20 years ago. I gotta find her a new drivers seat, replace the exhaust, fix the ABS, and find out whats causing that check engine light to stay on. Speaking of the check engine light, that things been on for 10 years or so and she still runs like a beast.
I LOVE my lx470! Would definitely consider a 200 series or 570 in the future. But hopefully my 470 with 245k lasts a long long time still for me (just a matter of outliving rust in MI 😭)

I would bet that the cost of all those mods is about in the same range as the vehicle. Just sick! Just gone to sweet dream!
Toyota/Lexus should be looking at this vid and thinking about modding it themselves. I'd buy it OEM pronto.

When all the good FJ Cruisers got bought up the Lexus 470s got bought up cause they’re almost identical vehicles
Not quite. FJ is closer to a 4 runner. LX470 is a true land cruiser 100 series.

Very helpful video. Thanks very much. I'm a land rover guy but thinking about Lexus replacement. I love the quality of the GX 460 but not a good ride. Sounds like LX 570 might also be an issue. Looks way more useful with less lower front and rear plastic panels.

Nice rig. Have you thought of trying a softer suspension to improve the ride? Or maybe the tyres solved the problem.
The tires and extra weight really helped the on road ride.

im suprized that vehicles have not come up rollers that fit just under the bumpers to allow the vehicle to roll off the hang ups instead of scraping coming off or going up steep inclines [departure and approach ]

The GX is the Prado relative, the LX is related to the 200.

I'm surprised he hasn't relocated the muffler back 2½ feet to rock it away higher and have the pipe coming out a hole in the rear bumper.

I actually left it in place since I wanted to be able to use it for lining up my hitch.

It really depends on how much of the work you can do yourself. The labor is the most expensive part.
Does Lexus LX 570 Offer Diesel Engine 4.5L In USA , I Wanna Know Because In Africa And Australia They Have It , Heavy SUV Like This Must Be Diesel ,
Last time I checked the only engine you can have in this is the 5.7 V8 with the same 8 speed automatic transmission from the Land Cruiser.
A vehicle like this must be diesel? Definitly not must. It’s not a heavy super duty truck that has a ton of tow capacity or anything. It’d be cool to have that option for some people who want it for better mpg but the regulations here are much stricter. Theres so many Tacoma’s wranglers 4runners and other off road rigs that have a lot of armour and extra mods on them here in the US that run on gas. The v8 in this Lexus has plenty of power.
Unfortunately we don't get the diesel variant in the US. That would be cool.

No re gear, you definitely feel it, but the 5.7 still does the job. You'd only really notice if you drove a stock one back to back.

Very nice! I have a 2011 that I love. Added the LRA 40 gallon aux tank, along with bumpers, rock rails, swing outs on back. Its nice to not have to stop every 3 hours on a long trip for gas. Great video!

It is still running the stock hydraulic suspension.

@@amm2472 The AHC system allows you to vary the height. In its max setting, you can get about 3 inches. The system is also constant height so it doesn't sag with all the extra weight.
